I like how motherboard is like a reimagined slime pit from vintage. Instead of slime coating characters making them servants of the horde they opted to make it ingested nano bots. The box is awesome too and will make displaying really fun.
Oh I never considered that angle. Fits more in aesthetic wise with the filmation style Horde/Fright Zone
Deeply cool head cannon. Thanks for sharing.
It would have made sense if motherboard was Screeech. The robot falcon.
@alanguages we see in Revolution she is indeed screech but the whole turning people into horde zombies still feels like she is also a reimagined slime pit too
I haven't watched Revolution. I guess this take is just combining some characters, which normally would not get much attention.
Edit: Once I saw the wings in the season finale, I thought it had to be Screeech. @@MarkERoth
"The people wait for He-man, they believe he will return to lead them. For you to rule completely, he must be destroyed."
-Meg Foster, Masters of the Universe 1987
With Mattel's obsession with parts re-use (NOT a bad thing) I wonder what other similarly sized characters we will get in the future.
She even looks good without the wings! It's nice to see Mattel using their brains for exclusives. She would be nice to have but not a collection breaker if you don't get it.
I think so too!
@@Pixel-dan Now all we need is Super 7 to give us Mumm-Rana from the Thundercats LOL! And they will....🤔🤗🤨🙄
Ha. Yea!
She is kind of a cross between The Sorceress and Light Hope from The Dreamworks She-Ra and The Princesses of Power series.
💪🏽
I really wish mattel made masterverse figures of the dreamworks She-Ra characters.
@@debirujira8499would be cool even though that cartoon was garbage
Oh. Yea!
@@Charmander009 ow oof the edge
This is a sweet looking figure, love it's size compared to the rest. I stopped at episode 5 of Revelations but watched her transformation scene, really cool looking.
You should watch the rest, we finally get to see all the characters battle it out which is something I know I always imagined with my toys anyway.
Mattel has some supreme balls to make another exclusive of this character. Just the scale alone makes it interesting 🤔
WOW PIXEL DAN! NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A MOTU MOTHERBOARD FIGURE, WORK OF ART MASTERPIECE! VERY STUNNINGLY ADORABLE AND COLORFUL AS WELL! THANKS ONCE AGAIN FOR SHARING!
@pixeldan ...The color box has also "magnets" so the doors can be "locked opened" 😊
Really nice for displaying with the color box.
I'm stoked for this figure, but even if you hated Revelations, consider it a good sign. Mattel is willing to go into larger sizes for MotU. Fingers crossed for Origins Tytus and Megator next year.
I think Tytus, Megator, and Procrustus could have an alternate label, and be considered compatible with both Originsand Masterverse. I want those figures SO bad!
@@TitularHeroine I'd be willing to shell out on a crowd fund again if it means we get them at the full 18 inches
If there’s one good thing I’ll say about that show, almost all of the designs were pretty cool
Looking forward to this one! Agreed on the lack of accessories, though. This would have been a good one for the chalice, like you said, or maybe some effect parts of the circuit liquid taking over whatever figure you choose. Absolutely beautiful looking figure, though! Definitely going to try for it.
Dan thanks for signing your book in Tampa! Great to see you covering masterverse again!
You bet!
I’m so happy to see this reveal on your channel.
Amazing:)
Hope you enjoyed it!
I got this on preview night. I thoroughly think it breathes new life in to the MotU storyline. The way they've been plotting out the MotU characters and figures, I'll bet you dollars to donuts they create a Sorceress figure on this Motherboard platform. And that would explain the extra set of hands that are more in line with Sorceress holding her staff. Mattel has done that repeatedly with MotU figures; repaint the same platform or with a few needed mods. I can see the wing component easily swapped out with a Sorceress style wing component, and the helmet painted white with a gentler face. Watch! they'll do it for Revolution. That is, I hope they do.
Wow they are really digging deep into this line. But still no Panthor? :(
I think this is one of the coolest looking MotU figures/characters ever made! At the same time I also can't stop thinking how it's a pimped up giant Barbie!! :D This is how my MotU in the 80s looked when they were fighting my sisters evil horde of Barbies!! XD
Kinda ironic in that Barbie was the inspiration behind the spinoff of MOTU, however would you still think of this as a doll rather than the action figure it is if it was a male character instead?
The original GI Joe (which became Action Man) was the “for boys” equivalent to Barbie just as She-Ra was the “for girls” equivalent to MOTU.
@@ObsessiveGeek Well, I never said I'm thinking of it as a doll and not an action figure. :) But to answer your question, if it was a male figure it wouldn't have the body lines similar to those the Barbie has, so no, I wouldn't. :)
@@hegga_nm So female equals Barbie...gottya
@@ObsessiveGeek I sincerely hope your comprehension skills are much better in person than on the internet. :)
@@hegga_nm What other conclusion should I make from you admitting that Male = MOTU and Female = Barbie?
Greetings, Pixel Dan. I don't often watch your reviews, but congrats for getting a hands-on look at Masterverse Motherboard. I notice that this figure lacks thigh swivels. I was wondering about her leg articulation until you showed her having swivel joints above her knees. Of course, I now wonder if future Masterverse figures will be engineered this way as well.
This is cool.
When will we get some other large sized characters?
Tytus
Mega Ogre guy
Procrustus
The three giants from the 200X cartoon
The robot monsters from She-Ra
Shadow Beasts
and any others I haven't mentioned
She's pretty cool. Like Skelegod (who could pretty much be any size) I think she'd display okay with Origins too. I'm hoping the giants, if ever made, simply have a different label to indicate they could be diplayed with either line.
I'm curious about whether she's taking the place of Horde Prime in Revolution? -- and that title seems to hint at the Great Rebellion. Thank you for the review, Dan!
Giants?😲
@@DeityLink69 There were two 18"-tall characters -- Tytus and Megator -- released at the end of the 80's vintage line, but not in the US. They were re-created at 12" in the much-later classics line along with a titan named Procrustus.
@@TitularHeroine Ohhh ok! That soi d's cool! I grew up with the 200X MOTU but MOTU origins was my very first time collecting the figures.
Im so exited to have Snake Mountain!!
@@DeityLink69 Yeah, it's super cool!
Need it. Need it NOW! Great vid as always!
Got my Motherboard today, an outstanding figure!
THank you bro for picking up on Screech....so many people missed it. And I'm gonna be vending for PowerCon with Omega Level Toys and we too have a Major Podcast Bendie to reveal...can't wait to meet you
Awesome video as always Dan, but apologies for being that guy you alluded to the fact that she doesn't come with the tentacles to assimilate her captives! I'm thinking that the cables on her back could be used as a stop gap for this look for the time being. Keep it awesome👍
It doesn’t seem like they would be nearly long enough to serve that purpose.
I hope we get a mainline release
nice review man, i bought her on e bay for $98.96 free shipping. after watching this review the 3 things i would ask for is double joints in the elbows and knees, a butterfly at the shoulders and some more interchangable hands, but i would have happily paid $200 for her, her height got me, i love that, thanks for the review, i should receive her by thursday 8-3-23, cant wait.
First off 👏🏽👏🏽 Dan for the review. I really like this figure, the scale of it, and how it very show acurate. Masterverse has become a very solid line & ive been 100% in since day 1. Again great review Dan, Kudos!👏🏽👏🏽💯🔥
I wasn't plan buy her first time, but after this video...wow I am all in. This entire box set look really cool.
I hope we see the other two cult of the motherboard memebers as figurers. Whiplash and Blast-attak. So we can have all of them on the shelf together. Maybe an army builder for those guys in robes with a few swap out mechanical attachments to make them look different.
Also a skeletor that has been changed since we saw him turning in the show but not full mech out yet.
Thanks for the video Dan! What is the price going to be for this?
Looks awesome. I hope I can grab one!
I can´t wait for MOTU Revolution... and actually I need this figure. This is new and pretty cool in Motu universe.
Awesome! Love hearing that!
I got her too and I'm in love with her
So with her wing sections being removable can you change the right to the left etc to change the colours that show from the back to the front ???
Don't think you can do that.
9:45 That's what God created *GLUE* for! lol
Will the detachable motherboard cape and wing outfit, that goes over the head, fit on a 12” Mondo He-man/Prince Adam figure? (Like the new SDCC exclusive Prince Adam figure?).
Well, that's not what I was expecting. Motherboard has been my #1 most wanted MOTU figure since the first time I saw her. Love at first sight! But I wanted her to be a regular release in a wave so I could buy a bunch of them for customs for my channel. I really wanted a cool female robot body. I really didn't want her to be an exclusive. I guess I'll have to find some other figure to use as female robots. Which is extremely difficult. I'm happy I'll finally be getting a Motherboard figure for my collection but I'm extremely disappointed that I won't be able to buy multiples for customizing. I really wanted to repaint one in Zoar colors. I always want both Zoar & Screech. Just like it's natural to want both Battle Cat & Panthor & Stridor & Night Stalker. I've been annoyed for all these years that the Filmation Cartoon never made an evil Screech Sorceress to counter the Zoar Sorceress.
I think Bossfight makes 6" blanks for customizing, in several colors. Those might be too short for Iike 7" Masterverse though?
@@TitularHeroine I was thinking about getting extra Evil-Lyns in her bat outfit. That's basically a nude female figure that I can sculpt over.
@@sci-fi.tsunami Ah yeah, for the 7" scale, good choice!
Question about the stand. Does it have notches to attached the cape cables? It'll be cool if it does. 😊
Wow this is really really cool she gives me Mew Two vibes but she is a cool looking figure those wings are insane.
Wings are great!
It's an interesting figure with how they've implemented the wings, but she seems lacking in detail which is emphasised more when you remove those wings.
I absolutely love the look of this figure. I gonna get it. Love the huge assed wings a lot !
Love it!!
Other than Skelegod, I haven’t been collecting Masterverse, but this looks really cool! $65 is rather steep though! She actually looks more like something out of a mech anime or video game series like Xenoblade Chronicles…not quite MotU. I can see a lot of people passing this one up. Still pretty cool though; Revolution should be very interesting!
Should be!
Amazing!! need, want, now lol!
Pass!
Anyone notice in MOTU:REVOLUTION that Motherboard's head, and face design looks a bit like the 1987 live action flick's take on Evil Lynn ? Especially what a coincidence that they got Meg Foster to voice Motherboard.
Wow, she looks incredible 😍💖👍🔥 I hope she will be featured more in season 2. Because she was only featured about a minute at the very end of season 1, and I hope Hrodak will be the main big bad, and She-Ra will be present I hope. I am really excited that Melissa Benoist will be playing Teela 💖😍👍🔥💙🩷💛💜✨️
Yea! Me too!
@ezontv5037 No, the 1st season was made into 2 parts.
I'm pretty confident that her and Hordak will be mainstays in Revolutions, that's exactly what the ending was setting the stage for.
@ezontv5037Technically, Revelation was a limited series in and of itself (with a beginning, middle and end). Revolution is the second limited series that will pick up a brand new story where the first story of Revelation left off.
I'm hoping granamyr appears in s2 revolution
I just got her in my collection I was just wondering where can I find that I have been searching all over
Book
It's always cool to see new Horde members
Yea!
The black plugs should have plugged into the base and it could light up
Awesome Pixel Dan!!❤
Glad you like it!
Didn't the filmation version of randor from motu classics come with a chalice? Could just use that.
I will glue the wings into the attachment if it doesn't hinder the movements 🎉
I want this in my collection ✨✨✨✨
Ha! Awesome!
@@Pixel-dan She is a very nice figure✨✨✨
I love it!
@@Pixel-dan I will get her eventually ✨
Love your channel ✨✨✨
Thank you so much! Glad you’re here!
She looks great. I hope I can get lucky enough to get her so she can over see Tri-Klops and Trap Jaw ha ha. SO what printer does she plug into? LOL
Cortana! 😂
That is one very cool figure.
Glad you like it!
@@Pixel-dan Thanks
This figure is amazing the color scheme has me thinking they can do a great icer figure
Oh. maybe so!
I typically like your reviews, but the color contrast from all the lighting and the white background made it hard to look at the light colored figure.
Maybe it had something to do with what you where watching the video on?!?! As it seemed to be a normal and clear one image of the figure!!. Not sure?
But you do have the options to change settings on the screen or device you watched it on to make it easier to view for yourself if its really hard for you to see and look at....
Do u think Revolution will have Adora/She-Ra? Since we have the evil horde? Horde Prime?
I hope so
@@Pixel-dan me too! I mean Mattel has always been about selling merch so why not!
this looks really good
Yea I think so too
What about those of us, that can't get to SDCC, well mattel ready knows how to screw over they're loyal fans
I’m sorry
It’s going to be available on Mattel Creations!
She looks cool. I can't remember, is that Sorceress transformed?
No, as Dan mentioned she’s a completely new character.
@@ObsessiveGeek thank you I mustn't have been listening properly.
Very cool, looking forward to the mythos behind this character and how she fits in with the Horde
Me too!
the price tag for this figure is going to be $65.00 + tax & shipping. i'm betting this will sell out fast.
I'm betting so too.
Can I buy it on Amazon?
Looks like the Metropolis robot
Glad I'm not the only one who thought that 🙌
A modern Wonder 🥰
I had to take the chalice from a Son of Zorn figure and give it to Tri-Klops lol
Nice!
She reminds me of Rannie jet from the transformers!
Hey Dan, cool review by the way, I have a question, after Mattel sends you the figure to review, and I'm sure, you've been asked this multiple times, but do you get to keep the figures?
I believe it’s case by case with anything like this, sometimes a company will have a list of channels that the same figure will be passed along to and other times they are essentially gifting the figure.
This being an early exclusive as it is, it could easily be that first example though I personally wouldn’t expect a channel to respond to such a question, they are providing a service to that company and as such we shouldn’t have an issue with any figure being gifted to them.
@@ObsessiveGeek first of all I don't have a problem with anybody getting the figures it's just curiosity, and other channels that do this as well do respond to questions like this!
I didn't even know he man revelation is getting a sequel
No comparison huh nothing better. I’d like to see a statue of her… What do you think of Kevin Smith storytelling on The Revelations?
What would you compare it against since this is the only version of this character?
Daaaang. I had to stop collecting Masterverse (and other things) due to space, but I might have to try and pick her up, size and colors are amazing!
Come to the dark side!
A real bummer they missed the chance to rectify the chalice
When will you review the Walmart exclusive TMNT Mutant Mayhem figures?
Soon
@@Pixel-dan cool. I just picked them up so I was wondering if you were making a review.
Awesome! You like them?
@@Pixel-dan oh yeah they’re awesome. My only complaint is that my Leo’s left arm is loose.
Bummer!
Oh, cool, a sweet new Masterv . . . o-o-o-o-ohhh, dammit, it's an SDCC exclusive. Oh, well.
Great review, though! Thank you!
Thanks for the review Dan. It’s a good looking figure but anything Revelations is a pass for me. I hope the Revelations universe is not the only focus for MOTI going forward.
There’s currently five different MOTU lines as well as a branched line, we’re getting more MOTU than we’ve ever had right now.
Absolutely amazing... I thought they were going to present skeletech at SDCC23... But that is really a big surprise... Gotta cancel some motu from the list for later times to grab this one to Egypt 👍
Dear Pixel Dan ... I don't want to get away with the focus on motherboard.... I just want to ask is there any possibility for a reboot for Granamyer on SDCC23 ?
This is a stunner of a figure and I love the scale! She will look awesome displayed in the middle of a Revelation display
Yes she will!
Wow, Masterverse is really cementing itself as a solid collector line. I love this figure, especially the height. Even if Kevin Smith blows it again with lazy story telling and nonsensical plots, I have no doubt that we will get some great figures out of the deal.
So you like the figure?
@@Pixel-dan a little bit.
@@DusarrionI strongly disagree about lazy story telling, it’s a refreshing plot that shines a light on all the other characters that are part of MOTU outside of He-Man.
Going by the main complaints many had about the animation and what MOTU fans would have changed, it seems if we had had their way it would have been EXTREMELY unoriginal and seemingly about a single character in an entire world whilst overly sexualising female characters in particular, definitely not an improvement at all.
These figures are a fantastic showcase of the amazing and interesting characters that we got to know better thanks to the creativity of not just a single person but entire teams of people.
I’m excited to check out Revolution and see what Motherboard and The Horde has in store for us.
Set aside expectations and go in spoiler free and you’ll maybe enjoy this series as much as I did.
@@ObsessiveGeek The fan boy who can't accept opinions that diverge from his has arrived.
@bladerunner3314 Says the guy who clearly doesn't accept alternative opinions.
It's fine not to like something, though if you insist on putting out half-hearted responses about the reasons why in a comment on a channel that has nothing to do with that discussion, then be prepared for that opinion to be challenged.
Im very curious if she serves Hordack. Was she created by him?
An Avatar excedent!!
Enjoy sdcc!
those cables looks kinda like hair
Oh kinda yea
No kid in the world wants this for Christmas
my first time seeing a female action figure that big compare to Spawn figurs are always going to be big & different dizes Good Matel mother board is massive compare to barbie i wander how big are avatar figurs
Is The New eternia Queen Angela look like? 😆
I pulled the trigger and bought one but I have to be honest, I was disappointed when I got home. Really cheap hollow plastic. For the price I want think dense platic like McFarlane used on his figs or fourhorsemen. Mattel really went cheap. Feels like it would shatter if dropped or crack. They couldn't even put the same care into this as the MH dolls or the ultimate She Ra doll from the mattycollector days. It's $25 product. Cool design but very cheaply made. Wish I had finished this video before buying.
Price?
$65
New horde members are always welcomed!
Screech update (Hord)
She looks more like a Tron villain
Hi Pixel Dan, i pass but thanks for the review, blessings! 🤘
Thanks!
Dors she have cake though? I need to know!
I think she turned out great! Looking forward to this! :)
I think so too!
Looks more like a figure for the CGI cartoon, too much futurist design, I prefer more vintage barbarian style
Bummer
Looks amazing the. Issue with the wings. Is easily solved with glue 😊
I feel like i'm the only one here that thoroughly enjoyed the show! Not a big MOTU fan but i thought the show was great.
That’s so great to hear!
You are not the only one. The people who enjoyed it just don‘t have to state it in every comment section. 😉
Haha. Very true!
You’re not the only one, a lot liked the show!
Yea! More fans of the show!
Man, I hope this one doesn't sell out in 30seconds. $65 seems like a very good deal for such a large articulated figure. 5:43 The promo made them look as though they had bendy wire in them, that's a bummer.
I think it’s a great price for it!
It looks like barbie doll , don't you think !
No
Not that cool but I’ll try to get one anyway. 😂
Ha love it!
