Ren said it cost quite a bit to get the sample of "Trouble So Hard" (1937) from the estate of Vera Hall, but worth every penny. He did all the production, mixing and editing, as he always does. He is a wonder.❤ This was filmed in Calgary last winter while he was finishing medical treatment in Canada. He's back in the UK now-----playing The Secret Garden Party this week!
His music is good. The blues are a powerful force in lyrics, poetry, music and art. I like how he combines it with rap

I'm currently in my second year of actively seeking an official diagnosis. I'm 48. The condition that I have is genetic so, I have been sick for the entire 48 years but, didn't realize that everything was connected because the symptoms affect all areas and aspects of my body at different times. You don't really ever think that a dislocated shoulder and a digestive problem could be caused by the same disease because it's totally normal to think that one is bones and one is internal organs so, they must have completely different causes. Getting doctors to zoom out further and look at the whole picture, instead of just looking at individual symptoms is the biggest hurdle. With the current state of healthcare, they're encouraged by the pharmaceutical companies to throw pills at every symptom until the patient stops complaining. Insurance companies compound the problem by denying procedures necessary to diagnose deeper medical issues. If I want an MRI because my legs aren't working properly, the insurance wants me to "prove" that my legs don't work before they will approve the MRI... by having electrodes strapped to my legs and being shocked with electricity to see how my legs react. They will not take a doctor's professional opinion as reason enough. Why? Because, for some reason, the insurance companies are of the opinion that we are all out here trying to "scam the medical system" and get medical attention that we don't "need". They think that trying to get an expensive cure instead of cheap ongoing treatment is a patient "scamming their insurance". A patient cured is a patient lost, to the doctor and the pharmaceutical companies. The doctor and the insurance are both owned by the pharmaceutical companies. Big Pharma runs the healthcare system now.

I have been in chronic pain every single day for 3+ years. My body feels like it’s on fire, from the inside out AND from the outside in. My chest and back and shoulders feel like my skin is literally burning ( like a really really bad sunburn that never goes away) . And at the same time I shiver. Doctor after doctor, pages and pages of bloodwork, X-rays, MRI, etc showed “ nothing conclusive “. Meanwhile, as someone who is self employed and therefore self insured I pay
$2000/MONTH - PLUS EXTRA FOR EVERY OFFICE VISIT, TEST, AND EVERY PRESCRIPTION!

Unfortunately I'm in Rens position health wise I'm in my 16th year of unrelenting pain. Ren has made me see the good things I have. Wife, daughters. Ashtrays....ashtrays everywhere. My parents didn't even smoke, but still owned several ornate {ugly as hell} ashtrays for guests. I even remember making ashtrays in school {grade 3} as part of an art class and giving them to my aunties for X-Mas.
