I was convicted on being celibate and it’s been 4/5 years. I just trust in God that when the time is right I will get married if it’s His will (it’s my desire), so now I am having difficult thoughts that it means should I not get married it means I will abstain until I die😄. I just pray for strength to remain rooted and grounded in God regardless of what my future will be like. I had to learn that celibacy/abstaining is not to get married, marriage is not the goal when celibate but it is to honour God with my body, my body is His temple, not to engage in sexual immorality as it is written in His Word. This journey it’s definitely not by my might but it is by His spirit because flesh and outside influence, always trying to be careful not to conform to the world.
Congratulations 🎉 Thulisile this is so encouraging especially in our current world. May the Lord give you your heart desires I will be standing in the gap with you. Exactly everything we do should be for God’s glory. May the Lord give you the wisdom and strength you need to hold on to His truth.
My late mom was a born again Christian, she was vocal about her faith and never ashamed of the gospel. There has been corridor talks that I should go “lahlela itshe” in her grave and maybe kuzo vuleka 🧐😳, kuzo vuleka because I’m 35 not married and don’t have kids, phela angithi you may have a good career and but if no marriage and no kids hai kuya shota.
The greatest inheritance my mom left me with was knowing God, knowing Jesus.
And what it is so sad is that people dont care what kind of environments they bring kids too. I am so glad that your Mom modeled her faith to you so that you dont get confused
May God bless you sis this is what It looks like to love God more than man amen. Whatever conviction God gives you be sure to listen to Him. Amen

Solomon’s life really shows how bad company can corrupt your heart
With the traditional meetings and ceremonies my mum had this conviction when I was younger and before I started reading the bible for myself I followed her decisions so she set a good example for me before I went to seek the knowledge for myself.
@@Dreyroxx you are so blessed that your Mom had the convictions that's what I want for my kids. Same experience as you for it to not be a struggle for them
I recently decided to not attend any African spirituality ceremonies because I now understand covenants and I would rather obey the Lord than offend him.
This was interesting. I like how gentle you are in relaying your convictions because there are some people who use fear to teach about what the bible says.

In the OT Gentiles also spoke/prayed to ancestors and many other gods so its nothing new under the sun.
I think that is why people get confused

I love how we can say that we can do things because Jesus did it, but we are not prepared to pray, fast or follow the will of God for our lives like Jesus did. *We in this context is me 😩

Conviction ya ceremonies it's something I felt from a very young age, I remember when mama passed away at 15 there is things I refused to do, I wrestled with this conviction for the longest time.. Reaching a stage when I stopped attending was shock to everyone I love, I have seen the Lord come through and assure me through His word..all I can say your message came at the right time.. Thank you for the scriptures 🙌🏽
