I’m at my wits end. We’ve been married 30 years and after the 1st or 2nd year our intimacy died. We stopped kissing with any passion, at times there has been times of “don’t touch me” and stopped making love. We only had sex every few months to once every 2-3 years. To me the difference in making love and sex is that making love is with full of passion and focus while sex is a task. I have heard “alright ok go ahead” or clearly seeing her disengage waiting for me to finish or one time so disconnected that she started telling me the random things that happened to her that day like we were sitting at the supper table. The only thing I know of that we haven’t done is going to a mentor/counselor simply because she angrily has said “NO, never”. What can I do? I didn’t want to marry my sister or mother. I I thought married my passionate lover. It’s hard to not feel like a bait and switch. Thx
I tried a few times this week talking yo my spouse and each time he says im not talking about this. Communication supposed to bring us closer and i can't get close to this man cause he cant talk and dont want to talk. I know this marriage is over, I keep trying but it doesn't happen
In the super hard right now. It's been painful because I don't have much support through it from my husband. Are there best resources for someone working through this disconnect alone?
