Ganondorf needs his own game, how he grew up, started in a strict kingdom , on his adventures he helps people, but is snobby as a child and believes he's better than most, but still kind hearted , but in the end he's forced to make evil acts to save his people, would be interesting seeing it unfold how ganon came to be
if they did I think they should make the puzzles more challenging for the player to solve compared to the standard ones in most Zelda games to show the brain work ganondorf needs to go through compared to Link.
I think I know who it is... The one who walked the same path as Ganondorf... Who wished for power to take what should be his for him and his kind... Demise...
As an aspiring 3D animator, this is quite amazing. Not only you were able to visualize a possible backstory for Ganondorf; you also took your time to create this masterpiece. My salutations sir.
Honestly, I feel bad for Ganondorf, the dude is of a dying race and everyone treats them like shit. All he wanted to do was save his own race and end Hylian Family's rule.
FLASH NEWS : Ganondorf didnt CARE bout his people sake, he just wanted the power of the Triforce for his own greed cause he is the reincarnation of Demise (pure Evil) ! Cut the Disney romancing crap of his backstory : none of that is cannon ! If he really was that "nice", we would have seen happy Gerudos everywhere 7 years after he took over Hyrule in Ocarina of Time instead of death and destruction everywhere and his own people asking for his head.
YMangaka While it's true that Ganondorf wanted the power of the Triforce for his own evil intentions due to the curse of Demise and to rule Hyrule, he matured over time in the era of Winds. Hyrule was already gone. There was no place left for him or his people. He only wished to revive Hyrule and claim the throne as his own so his people could thrive. He was no longer driven by the curse or total domination. He wanted a land to call home. Play Wind Waker and you'll see it's very much canon.
metaltom2003 - he was jealous of Hyrule's wind. Thats his own words. Jealousy which leads to Envy, which leads to his thirst of domination over Hyrule. Never he ever said anything bout his people's sake or showed any will to do anythin for them. Also, the gerudos were long gone in WW, nothin to save for him anyway. So once again, he just wanted Hyrule for himself. And that's why the king had to stop him by drowning Hyrule to make sure it will end Ganon's obsession.
The Gerudo were not part of a dying race... It's a race of all females. In OoT it's stated that Gerudo women find hylian mates and their babies are always girls except for ONE man every 100 years. That ONE was Ganondorf. It's never stated that they were dying off.
It makes sense for this animation to invoke those emotions, but everyone would do well to remember that this is just a fan animation, not anywhere near the canon backstory. In the canon games, the closest that any of the Ganondorfs come to being human and genuinely pitiable is in Wind Waker, and even then, 'Life was hard, dry, and shitty' does not justify 'I coveted others' apparently less shitty lives and acted out in greed.'
I've really enjoyed watching this video, specially because it elaborates on the more mature and jaded Ganondorf from Wind Waker. In OoT, Ganondorf was a mad warlock in his late 30's -early 40's trying to conquer the power of the godesses and take over the world. In Wind Waker, his ambition has waned. He's no longer as much a power-crazed man looking for world-domination; no, he is, like I said before, a jaded version of what he used to be. You can tell he's more calm and patient, since all he wants is revenge, and a revenge he can't get because the people who imprisoned him have all been dead for centuries, which means that he has to take all of his anger out on the apparent descendants of Link and Zelda. He only seeks to put together the Triforce merely as a way to finish what he started centuries ago. However, when he finally manages to put together the Triforce, he sees another chance at becoming king of an evil world and is filled for a couple seconds with his old ambition. Nonetheless, that ambition is immediately thwarted when the Phantom of the King of Hyrule touches the Triforce and wishes for it to wash away the old kingdom, ending Ganondorf's chances for good. Seeing his last chance taken away from him, Ganondorf discards all of his desires and faith in the triforce and challenges Link and Zelda to a last battle, no longer driven by any sort of ambition but only the wish to crush them before his own impending death. When Link and Zelda manage to overpower him and Link stabs him in the head right through the gem on his forehead, he isn't overcome by indomitable rage like in OoT, but instead smiles and, with poetic last words regarding the wind, accepts his own death and the fall into oblivion of the kingdom he so coveted for centuries. I've always found Wind Waker Ganondorf more interesting and deeper as a character because of this, and because of the fact that he gives what he considers reasons for his actions, as opposed to just going berserk.
Imagine: if the lava beneath his castle was malice, instead. Imagine, if he experimented on himself and injected said substance into his body. And suddenly, his survival, his yellow eyes, his form, make more sense: he would gain even more power and possible immortality using such methods over the 7 years to strengthen himself, but the true goal was still the full triforce. Wind waker ganondorf would have not had the 7 years to come up with such methods and used them on himself. The malice "poisoning" him would be a great reason for falling victim to Demise's curse - particularly given how malice works. And it would be the perfect place for the magma pool to be switched out for malice since its beneath the castle. Ww ganondorf isn't as insane because he never fooled with it. (Seriously, look at the lens of truth and mask of truth. Look at the shape of the eye, the color of the lens...they look like malice/malice infected eyes don't they? Same with Majora's mask and it later growing a third eye)
Rwan I can't even begin to fathom the hardwork you put into this. Top that off with the fact that you lost the footage from the original and redid all of it. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication. I'm going to post this all over the Zeldaverse, this has to go viral.
*breathes in* I have always wanted a zelda animation......thought it did not exist.......YET OT HAS BEEN HERE FOR SEVEN YEARS-?! HOW AM I JUST FINDING THIS NOW-
Huge fan of the Zelda games, and this truly made me happy. I love a background story on villains. And I love what you did for ganondorf, it's truly epic!
This was absolutely brilliant in every way! I'm in awe, and I can't really find any proper words to describe how amazing this is - all of it. You've done a wonderful job!
You have so many subs so this likely won't matter much to you hearing this but you earned yourself another sub due to your outstanding skill, love of detail and attention to it. Well done.
RwanLink No, thank YOU! This is not good. No, this is beyond good! The animations and graphics are as smooth as if they were highly professional, you should really be proud! :)
Yay it finally came out! I've been waiting almost two years for this! It is just as great as I expected, and the story is very accurate. Even though this part of Ganondorf's story has never been mentioned in canon, this is what I believe it would've always been like. I also love how you differentiate Ganondorf as the person and Ganon as the reincarnated spirit of Demise that corrupts him. While many disregard that theory nowadays, I always thought the timeline made more sense if they were separate entities. And yes I agree with you on Wind Waker Ganondorf's maturity and your Ganon Puppet theory.
I can't believe I just watched an animated short of Ganondorf's childhood. I've been a long-time fan on Ganondorf and this is almost too good to be true. RwanLink, thank you so much for creating this -- and please do continue it! If not, you still have my support for Ganondorf! Thank you again! It was amazing.
Nice attempt at illustrating Ganondorf's childhood. Could use some better lighting, cleaning of the emulated UI elements, and more expression to young Ganondorf's face, but overall I applaud you.
Well done! this is incredible! your skills are over 9000 ;). Your story is well taught, precise and interesting! (you've done more for Ganondorf's lore than Nintendo ever did -_-'), If you want to keep documenting Ganondorf's life from the adult era (in the timeline) than i suggest you animate the moment he attacked Hyrule after being ressurected and the hero of time wasn't there to help him. You could even conclude the series with this: As he explains how he ruled with fear and the Gods decided to flood Hyrule to stop him, the camera zooms back to see he was playing the piano whilst under the sea secluded in Hyrule! Anyway great job!
Good job on this! The animation is pretty weird in places, but it's got good quality overall and takes an interesting stance on the reasons for Ganondorf's actions.
I've always been a huge fan of Ganondorf, so seeing a story that looks into his background, showing how he became the villain he did in OoT and onward, is just amazing. Seriously, congratulations on making this! I can't wait to see more :D
+Mr. Railfanner it takes time guys let him do his work and focus on the project, extremely awesome job I can wait and watching it for free on RUclips unless you donate to him. atleast thank him and if he is still working on well you gotta wait. thanks rwan for this video buddy I'm impressed and thankful to watch this
+RwanLink it's bullshit how you make a good video then say you will make a part two everyone is excited to see part two yet you won't make another what's the hold up come on make part two already
I really like this. You've done a great job. Admittedly, some of the finer movements from time to time seem a bit stiff, but I imagine that if you keep working on this series (which you'd better btw...) then you'll hone your skills and it will look even more awesome. tl;dr Great job and keep it up!
+RwanLink I can not believe I have not seen this video before. It's the best fanmade animation of The Legend of Zelda I've ever seen! I'm excited to see more of what you have in mind. You are really an artist!!
Jesus Christ this is amazing! I have so much respect for you, this is such an interesting twist on what we see from The Wind Waker! Great fucking job man! You earned yourself another subscriber, cannot wait for pt 2!
for a solo animationist ,since a few of the last works I have seen from you, I would say you have improved quite a bit. Bit of constructive criticism: check on the technique "easing" if you haven't already. Some of your animations change a bit too fast to look natural. at 1:43 : in a scene like this, fade between shots, the jagged changes would be more for a humorous line. All of your models are well done, but try to find more ways to add secondary motions for expressions. Check if they are all jointed and boned correctly. Keep finding ways to improve, your doin quite good.
This animation is truly amazing, young Ganondorf is awesome (and adorable)! I really enjoyed this and I can't wait for the next part! It is very admirable you did this all on your own, keep it up!
RwanLink As you should be, I can tell you put lots of hard work in this! :D I am very curious about the rest of the story now! I love how you did the part with the prisoner, I really want to find out who he/she is! So you did a wonderful job at sparking my curiousity!
Wow! This vid is Sick!!! Loved the Gerudo Valley background theme! It's also so mysterious it had my full attention! Keep up the good work! And I think i'm also speaking for the most of the fans if I say "WE WANT MORE!".
That Japanese mech genre/RPG anime fan Jusino Ganondorf and Demise can't live in the same timeline. I think. I mean, you can only be reincarnated if you're dead. So, the two of them can't exist at the same time.
That Japanese mech genre/RPG anime fan Jusino I'm sorry, you didn't use any periods in your sentence, which is kinda hard for me to read, plus my first language is not English, so I had to guess what you meant with some things. Also, I don't have too much knowledge about the Legend of Zelda series, I've only played OOT and Link Between Worlds, so I apologise if I got some facts wrong. Can you tell me what the difference between incarnation and reincarnation is though? Maybe I can understand your comment better that way...
Honest respect, dude! I'm (kinda professional) learning 3D animations as well, and I know what an effort it must be to create that. Awesome work, and tons of respect. Not only for the animation, but for the logical awesome plot as well! I hope, I'll be able to do animations like that as well ;)
It's so amazing. I've seen your earlier works where an Ocarina of Time Link crossed paths with Twilight Princess Link and I remembered it today. I was desperately searching for your videos. The animations are amazing. They're improving by the video. In this one, I barely see any problems. You're a fantastic animator!
This needs to become a thing, I just absolutely loved watching this, and wished there was more! You my friend, I could possibly see you helping out with a future Zelda game! Keep up the amazing work!
Very cool. Though Ganondorf's skin tone looks a little off to me. Just my personal opinion. Also I think it would have been good if he was shivering in the scene at night in bed. Ganondorf has said the desert is very cold at night and it would have drawn a nice comparison to the Link as a child shivering in the Ocarina of Time opening.
This is absolutely the coolest thing I've seen in the world of LoZ that i've seen in a long time, dude. Seriously, kudos times 1,000 to you. I'm sending this to every Legend of Zelda fan that I am friends with.
PS = Never thought i'd hear a Gerudo scream in my lifetime. So that's satisfying, with how many times those fuckers have caught me stumbling around in their territory in OOT.
Really happy you released a new series, I was upset about the fate of Past and Present, good too see you still doing what you do. Love the new series, cant wait for more. Keep it up
RwanLink I always thought Link and Ganondorf as twins brother separated at birth. Link being the brother thrown away into a forgotten forest. And Ganondorf trained by the female desert people who may not have known he was a male until he was to powerful for them to destroy.
RwanLink Maybe the King of Hyrule had a darker side and was pruning his heir (Zelda) to be the goddess of Hyrule. and the other children(Link and Ganondorf) where abandoned to other realms.
Nice work dude! :D This might definitely be the correct origin story for Ganondorf! :D Keep up with the good work and show us some more good stuff with part 2 please! :D
Don't care if this is proper cannon or not. It's still a really cool thing and being a fan of Ocarina of Time, I freaking love you for making this! Please put part two out as soon as you can! I'm so pumped for it
For the longest time, I've always said that it would be nice if the developers of the Zelda series could shake up the formula for a change. We've had Link be Courage, Zelda be Wisdom, and Ganon be power for so long... What if that wasn't the case? What if for once; Ganon was Wisdom, Zelda was courage, and Link was Power. A Hero of time, built up as the savior; only to become the one thing he sought to destroy forever... and Zelda has to team up with Ganon to find a way to peace; and restore him? Admit it; it would be different, but that can sometimes be a good thing.

damn demise
so, where'd that orchestral version of gerudo valley come from?
What’s the song used in the fortress
@@ermacmasterofsouls799 if the song you are searching for is in 4:33 it's name is "scared" from TP
Yep...,Ganondorf Is Like My Spider Lord...,(He's Tragic Too,But He's My Comfort Chara Along The King Of Evil). 😈😈😈😈😈😈
Ganondorf needs his own game, how he grew up, started in a strict kingdom , on his adventures he helps people, but is snobby as a child and believes he's better than most, but still kind hearted , but in the end he's forced to make evil acts to save his people, would be interesting seeing it unfold how ganon came to be
To me, Ganon was always waay more interesting than Bowser ever was.
That's because Ganon(dorf) actually has a backstory, I don't think a backstory was ever created for Bowser.
***** Actually, Bowser did have a bit of a backstory in a certain RPG.
EpicU Never played Bowser's Inside Story, but that's cool.
***** No, not that, Partners In Time.
EpicU Of course he's more interesting, most mario games are not built around plot while TLoZ is.
Nintendo should make a spin off for legend of zelda about ganondorf's orgin
Hell yes
Or game from like Ghirahim's view you know like one of the villains
Skyward sword?
Legend of Ganon
@@obilim2155 I'd play that
Man! Gannondorf needs his own video game!
Hell yea
Year, a Game with the History of Ganondorf.
if they did I think they should make the puzzles more challenging for the player to solve compared to the standard ones in most Zelda games to show the brain work ganondorf needs to go through compared to Link.
The prisoner was .......

I walked the same path as you. Hated, for my love of maps.
+The Hancock LMAO!!

N Deluxe oh :v que haces aquí compañero
I understood most of that.
[SPOILER HERE]
Hi everyone ! I hope you enjoyed my new 3d animation ! By the way, do you have an idea about the identity of the prisoner ?
Satan ? XD
is it zant?
wait....why am I viewing my enemys back story?
I think I know who it is... The one who walked the same path as Ganondorf... Who wished for power to take what should be his for him and his kind... Demise...
Any Zelda fan worth his salt would know that fucker is none other than the first Demon King, Demise.
As an aspiring 3D animator, this is quite amazing. Not only you were able to visualize a possible backstory for Ganondorf; you also took your time to create this masterpiece.
My salutations sir.
Ganondorf's strory is the proof that sometimes, a good and diplomatic conversation with the villain is far more effective than the heroes'sword.
I like the "Nightmare Demise, from the sky" scene...Epique.

That was *AMAZING!* Made me love Ganondorf even more. :)

Wow, so much work to take on by yourself! Well done, looking forward to part two!
This so makes me wish for a Ganondorf game sometime in the future...
+RwanLink I can not believe I have not seen this video before. It's the best fanmade animation of The Legend of Zelda I've ever seen! I'm excited to see more of what you have in mind. You are really an artist!!
All the work you put into this is unbelievable. i cant wait to see how this turns out!!
Thank you !
Omg please by all means continue with this, this is just great! Really nice work, dude!
god...you did all this by yourself?! How long did it take?!
DaTurdburglar One year ^^
RwanLink Will it take that long for each segment?
+RwanLink 1 year for a 11 min animation.... WORTH IT!
kek
Jesus Christ this is amazing! I have so much respect for you, this is such an interesting twist on what we see from The Wind Waker! Great fucking job man! You earned yourself another subscriber, cannot wait for pt 2!
THIS VIDEO IS FANTASTIC! Eagerly anticipating sequel video(s)!
Poor Ganondorf
I haven't seen one of your animations in a LONG time! You've improved so much!
CONTINUE ,PLEASE
OMG?!!! This was amazing! Can't wait for number 2 when you get to it!
This is amazing! :D
This is gold! Can't way to see more of your work! Just amazing!!
for a solo animationist ,since a few of the last works I have seen from you, I would say you have improved quite a bit.
Okay thank you for the advice ;)
I put this on watch later, and boy am I glad I did!
Excellent film, I can't wait for more! :D
RwanLink please make another other video please its really interesting to find out who is the prisoner is in the cell or whatever happens next :^)
Avril hamilton I'm working on it ;)
I'm pretty sure its demise c:
Julio Mateo I agree I think so too.
I dont think its demise
It has to be a human, because why would an immortal demon that can't be killed only sealed be in a tiny prison cell
***** Maybe it's Ghirahim, considering he worked for Demise, it would make sense for him to help the incarnation of his fallen master.
This animation is truly amazing, young Ganondorf is awesome (and adorable)!
I really enjoyed this and I can't wait for the next part!
It is very admirable you did this all on your own, keep it up!
Thanks ! It wasn't easy but now I'm proud of the final result :)
RwanLink As you should be, I can tell you put lots of hard work in this! :D
I am very curious about the rest of the story now! I love how you did the part with the prisoner, I really want to find out who he/she is! So you did a wonderful job at sparking my curiousity!
DAM this was tight!!!!!
Wow! This vid is Sick!!!
Loved the Gerudo Valley background theme!
It's also so mysterious it had my full attention!
Keep up the good work! And I think i'm also speaking for the most of the fans if I say "WE WANT MORE!".
The Final Boss of Skyward Sword took the control about Ganondorf, right?
fools that was demise or is reincarnation ganon
I really liked it! Congratulations! Another fantastic animation!!!! All Hail Ganondorf!!!
HAHAHAHA the credits though
This was really fantastic that clearly took a long hard time to make. I congratulate you on your ability.
The prisoner was Demise im guessing and absolutely fantastic video!
Purple Jelly how could it be demise? ganondorf is the reincarnation of demise
That Japanese mech genre/RPG anime fan Jusino Oh, I'm sorry, spoilers fucking suck. I hope your day/night gets better!
That Japanese mech genre/RPG anime fan Jusino It's okay, I understand what you mean now. Have a nice day/night! :3
This is fantastic! Outstanding job, RwanLink!
I'm just going to consider this canon from now on. :D
Me too :P
TheDogeGamer *breaths in* boi
ive been saying someone should do this and you did it! thats friggin awesome and thank you!
The 3D is phenomal but the sound design is rather poor.
This needs to become a thing, I just absolutely loved watching this, and wished there was more! You my friend, I could possibly see you helping out with a future Zelda game! Keep up the amazing work!
What's the point in credits if you're only gonna credit 99% yourself?
*****
Again. WHAT'S the point?
There's no point in making credits if it's just you who made it. Praising Nintendo doesn't count for shit.
***** Because this kind of thing can help you get a job somewhere.
Loved this!! love the animation, love the quality, love the story telling love the tone shift. Really hoping for a sequel soon!
Wow!
Impressive stuff! I am very inspired that you did all this by yourself. Your character models are great! Excited to see what's next!
Kelsey Brooks Haha I see what you mean ;)
RwanLink There's one thing wrong with this in terms of canon, Twinrova was the surrogate Mother of Ganondorf
...
...
...
...
Really happy you released a new series, I was upset about the fate of Past and Present, good too see you still doing what you do. Love the new series, cant wait for more. Keep it up
Thank you !
The story of Bizzarro Flame.
That was AMAZING! I can't wait until the next part.
RwanLink I always thought Link and Ganondorf as twins brother separated at birth. Link being the brother thrown away into a forgotten forest. And Ganondorf trained by the female desert people who may not have known he was a male until he was to powerful for them to destroy.
Nick Farrow I've already thought about something like that too ^^ Even the fact that link and Zelda could be brother and sister in Oot.
RwanLink Maybe the King of Hyrule had a darker side and was pruning his heir (Zelda) to be the goddess of Hyrule. and the other children(Link and Ganondorf) where abandoned to other realms.
RwanLink you should make a animation for link and ganondorf as brothers separated
This had blown my mind this is an a amazing work you made just WOW
Very compelling piece of animation. Can't wait to see part 2!
Awesome video! I'm glad you were able to make it. Keep it up, man! we're cheering for you!
Thank you !
freakin amazing and you did it damn near all by yourself...great content.
Sympa comme court métrage, vraiment super bien fait GG
