Many of the Cadbury chocolates are made in Tasmania with the best milk in Australia. As a teacher we would take the kids on excursions to the Cadbury factory. Lots of freebies during the tour and then the opportunity to buy cheap seconds.

Its so sad they have closed down the tours for the general public at the factory a few year ago 😥 But 100% agree the choc from there is so nice. Not at the same level as some European choclates, but really good as an any day type treat.

I think musk sticks are rosewater flavoured, like Turkish delight, but obviously very different in texture. We all grew up with them but you either love them or hate them.
Fruit tingles are like a compressed fruit-flavoured sherbet, and you usually suck them for maximum tingle.
Caramilk is caramelised white chocolate, where the sugar has been caramelised so it tastes like caramel but with the texture of chocolate.

Musk sticks taste like musk. Musk use to be a perfume used widely in the 1900's. Originally it came from musk deer, now its just a bunch of chemicals. It fell out of favour in the early 1900's in the US and UK but stayed strong here. It's an acquired taste. Never heard of 'chicklit'? Most people who aren't Australian hate hence the warning. I sent some to my Finnish friend. She said she would enjoy getting other people to try them. 😂

Dani was actually spot on about the musk sticks. It is a scent and is commonly used in perfumes, only Aussies use it as a flavour.🤷‍♀️ It originally came from the glandular secretions of deer. Because of cost and ethical standards it is now synthetically made from some sort of seed I think. Don't let her wear it as it was considered an aphrodisiac 😉😅

    Hi from Adelaide, South Australia.
We are due for some hot weather over the next week or so. It's already 35 C and it is 20 past midday. (I have my own weather station). The Sun set is another 8 plus hours. The next few days are 36 today, 38, 39, 37. It can get very hot in Adelaide. 42 - 45 C during summer is very common as is copping the tail end of Cyclone's and the rain that comes with it. Back in the 80's Adelaide was hit by a massive cloud dump. 100 mm (4 inches) of rain in 20 mins. The temp dropped from 44 C to 24 C in the same time period. Buildings with basements in the city centre flooded almost instantly. (I love it when the media spin (its a once in 100 yr event) and 10 yrs later the same thing happens.
Turkish Delight comes in different flavours. (The type that isn't covered in chocolate) I was gifted some rose water flavoured Turkish Delight for Christmas. It was delish.
When I was a kid (early 1960's) I would make straw sandwiches. Bread, butter and straws. The salt and vinegar straws are really good as well. Comfort snacks are good for the soul.
Tim Tams come in many flavours now (15 last count). Australia has some of the best chocolate in the world.

Kevin, you’ve committed the same crime as an American named Ryan, who pronounces, FREEEDO FROG, and it’s wrong. Think of the boys name, FRED. it is FRED. O frog
Here is the great story behind it . Originally made by Mac Robinson’s chocolates. Mr. Mac Robertson asked his 18-year-old mould maker to create a chocolate mouse. The boy said, “sir I believe women and children may be afraid of mice, what if we make a “frog” instead?” The boss said go ahead. This was in 1930, and “Fred O” frog is still an iconic Australian favourite today. The boy had a great Australian name, which was Harry Melbourne. Cheers.🦘🇦🇺
