It's very pretty. I think if you have dampening on rotational inertia you need to animate the thrusters counter-acting the spin.
This is cool! Although I will suggest when developing a game to focus on basic placeholders and gameplay over the graphics. Add a planet rotation after you get the game working... Prototype everything first in the quickest/jankiest way first to find that "fun factor" then capitalize on it. If the game is pretty but not fun then there is no point (unless that's actually what this project's purpose idk). Best of luck! I look forward to following this.

This looks awesome guys! As someone using a Steamdeck, its nice to see that it can work! It looks like a lot of a fun, any idea when we might get something we can get our hands on?
I really hope they you guys add the drop time that missiles had in the expanse as they adjusted their heading.

I kind of like the idea of uncapping speed, it's realistic and allows players to fly to the limits of their skill level. Obviously it does come with some technical challenges tho
Wow m/s. I wish SC would put units on their numbers. The physics of momentum and inertia is also pretty cool. With the infinity of parallel universes, space whales exists in an infinite number of universes and in infinite forms if the current mathematics detailing our assumptions of quantum mechanics are correct.
I like the idea of space whales. You could hunt them for space whale oil or hunt space whale hunters. Like, having a deeper message about finite resources and stuff.
Is there a Rocinante hidden in that ship model?
The same problem of many modern games. Why does the vacuum of space have volumetric fog thicker than our atmosphere?
If you have a volumetric fog, why don't you have air resistance for ships?
add 144 fps limit , sometimes i like having at my monitors refresh rate , 60 is too low in our standard i feel , and unlimited makes render thousands fps with no reason

Space whales do make sense they just don’t make sense in Star Wars
I don't like the idea of symphonic music for this. It's so overused. It needs something modern, fresh, still atmosspheric. Something "new". Don't underestimate the importance of audio
