Playground rumors about games were so crazy sometimes. Same as you though, if one sounded even somewhat possible to do in the game I would try it.
That being said, I spent way too much time trying to find the star in kirbys air ride that was supposed to let me dive underwater.
The premise of this one was to play City Trial, make the tree cry, then get a high flight star and go to certain spots on the map like the flower on top of the city hall. The scuba star was supposed to show up at the watermill area

In all seriousness, seeing how this game touches upon so many aspects of both the official lore and the fandom is legitimately really endearing. Nothing like seeing a fuzzball conduct the tsukumos for making it feel like everyone’s gotten a bit of love.
Satellite Torifune was designed to see if it was possible to create a custom-made ecosystem within a confined area. The intention was to use the resulting techniques and technology in order to terraform the Earth, but it ended up malfunctioning and its emergency guidance systems directed it towards the Earth/Moon lagrangian point. The exact cause of the malfunction isn’t known in or out of universe, but it’s assumed in-universe to have been sort of bug in the computer system, and with space travel being what it is one of a million things could’ve gone wrong regardless.
