    I find scrubbing bubbles bath cleaner and a hose does great at removing the residue.

    i have them in an inaccessible crawl space. i have been bombing and am going to setup a sticky trap (trapstik), the diy water/sugar/soap trap with a bowl or bottle; what do you think ? i’m not sure what to do. this is a bit of a nightmare !

    • @sterlingalcorn4525
      @sterlingalcorn4525 3 года назад

      I’ve had the same issue myself no way around it you gotta dig out the ground and get in there and get dirty, I postponed this for months and best got about size of football and I kicked it down and sure enough it wasn’t empty, good luck friend

    • @schoolinJOO
      @schoolinJOO 3 года назад +1

      @@sterlingalcorn4525 it’s actually scaled down a bit. i’m assuming its because the almond blossoms are gone now - i live in an orchard. also, since i’ve been pumping the ac there’s been significantly less activity as far as stragglers inside. i got borax and put it in areas i know they land on and so far that’s been helpful. i really think hanging sticky traps, borax are the best. i haven’t tried coffee grounds just yet. also, the traps sucked, but i think i need wine and more sugar. will keep you updated 😆

    If I through away the uninhabitable nests of mud dauber wasps and then clean that place and start using it on a daily basis, is there a chance of it rebuilding those nests again ?

    I don’t kill them, they ARE pest control themselves

    • @SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL
      @SirensAndAlarmsOfNorthernIL 8 месяцев назад

      And there’s no need to. You can just remove their nest if it is in a spot where it’s damaging an exterior wall or something and they will build another one somewhere else

    What are some eco friendly options. I have a few of these that have formed near my front door and when its very hot out it makes it very frightening to go in and out my front door and I cant sit on the front porch with out them bothering me. I want to start some project that would be easier to do out side because its so hot out but cant. I know this appartment has alot of pests and its so hard to control because I dont know where they ar coming from and it the housing authority so i cant check every area of the house and they blame us for pests even if we are cleanly and take extra measures to keep pests away. They claim they do their part by soaking our floors with some ungodly watered down (and most likely non eco friendly) spray that does kill somethings but it also attracts them in the first place. I'm at my witts end with this place. I have to keep it cold in the house not only because I like it cold but it keeps a good majority of the bugs out but I still contend with spiders and I guess some type of little worm thingy and the occasional out door cock roach. Since they are blaming all the tenants theres gotta be some other ideas of things i can do? Right now I try to spray Home defense around the home once a month but I guess thats not working and i dont think its very eco friendly either

    So since I live in the country and I have lots of spiders outside and stuff like that and they have and that my daughter's Nest does have it's got all kinds of like spiders around it that they have left on the outside floor I guess the inside for the larvae so should I just leave it there because it's killing my spiders and I kind of like that I have a wasp nest on the side of my house which I already know how to get rid of that I just haven't did it yet cuz I have to stand on a stool so but the mud dauber's Nest basically I should go ahead and keep it there

    I’m considering hiring a professional pest control/exterminator. There are several mud nests present and I have recently noticed some paper wasps as well. I have noticed lots of gnats and large spiders inside the house so I’m sure my house may be a feeding ground. I need to nip this in the bud and start with a clean slate. Is any time of the year ok for hiring pest control? Also, what months do you recommend that we proactively treat our house?

      I have a female building a nest in my broken window :( I wouldn't mind but I am allergic to wasps stings, I also have children. My landlord will not remove it, so I have to do it myself. Any advice? I have only seen the female coming to the nest, it's about the size of an orange.

    When it's dry out. mix up a batch of tantalizing mud with borax mixed in, the mud dobbers use their mouths to form the balls and will ingest the boric acid in the process

    How long does it usually take to get them under control? I live in Alabama and they are so annoying. We just signed up with a pest control about s month ago. We have so many ants and spiders. We tried to keep it all under control to no avail.

      Use Bayer carpenter ant and roach spray PLUS, the plus if for everything thing else I spray one time a month it is over kill but I hate these bast!Ed’s with a passion and the spray also kill insect problems if you have them, I live in Tx and I have 10 acre pond in front and I may get one thinks he can come in but he will die soon, just go ahead and get couple jugs and a good sprayer and keep it spraying, heck we had them so bad I would shoot them with shot gun at pond
