This card is if the 3070 released for 1k and Nvidia called it value over the 2080 ti because it's 200 dollars cheaper. That's how doomed the GPU market is.
To be fair, the rtx 3000 was a big generational jump, and we cant expect that from every generation. The price bump makes it horrible tho, rn in europe you're much better off getting a used 3080 (going for 350-400$)
@@ARedditor397 the 3070 met the 2080 Ti and the 1070 met the titan X but the 2070 did not meet even the 1080 Ti. I think we will only have big jumps from nvidia every other generation, it's another rtx 20 story

So what you're telling me is that it's really a 4060... I'm shocked that the company that has been renaming lower end cards to higher end cards for 10 years would do this...
@@sishirshrestha1783 For a long time, the "70" branded Nvidia GPUs were just slightly cut down versions of the TOP class GPU of that generation, then, at some point they started using the second tier GPU of a given generation for their "70" branded GPUs, and the 4070 is now the first Nvidia "70" branded GPU to be based upon Nvidia's third tier GPU of a given generation. Furthermore, not only is the 4070 the first "70" branded card to be based on the third tier GPU of a generation, it is also based on a CUT DOWN version of Nvidia's third tier GPU of the current generation. The 4070 ti was also the first "70 ti" branded Nvidia product to be based upon a third tier GPU.
Exactly. And it should have been called the 4060 if you look at the specs. They are offering a 60-class card, under a 70-class label, for 80-class money. Nvidia can go fly a kite with this generation.
@@sophieedel6324 Same here. It's a mid-range card, for f*ck's sake! 50, 60, *70,* 80, 90 Mid. And AMD is just waiting for Nvidia to announce their prices so they can set their prices according to Nvidia. Disgusting. Intel?
When looking up secondhand market prices, I recommend using the "sold listings" filter, and averaging out price that are within a qualifiable margin of error (too high of a price means someone was either desperate, or it's not exactly what you're trying to compare. Too low of a price means that something was wrong with the card or it's just being sold for spare parts). Succinctly put, off the top of your head, try to identify the lowest and highest acceptable price and average out 10+ sold listings within the middle of an estimated bell curve.
I did that recently. I got myself a used Sapphire Pulse 6800 XT for about 490 USD equivalent in local currency (660 CAD), and that included the cost of shipping. Sapphire Pulse branded cards tend to offer an optimal balance between cost, quality, and features, imo, and I find that the quality of the model matters more when taking the risk of buying a used product. EVGA is another great example of a brand which makes some really good quality models, and they still officially offer warranty coverage for USED products, which is super cool (3 year warranty). That kind of warranty really shows that they have a lot of confidence in their products, and it's obviously also a very consumer friendly policy. Pretty sad that EVGA got sick of dealing with Nvidia, but understandable.
@@syncmonism I'm finding 6800 XTs for 550 CAD used (And iirc some for $500), and I saw an unreal 3090 Ti deal for exactly what you got the 6800 XT for (The selling page didn't say anything about malfunctions, and it was on eBay, which has good buyer protection from what I've heard). But yeah, the used market is nice at 80 class. When you get to 6900 XT+ it seems to be more difficult to find good deals.
I was just thinking this, that 200-ish watt power consumption is really impressive for the performance. It’s basically nipping at the heels of the 3080, a card that will happily pull down 300-350W. That’s a massive efficiency gain! It’s just a shame that this generation is priced SO sky high. The efficiency is great, but the value just isn’t there.
yeah, the efficiency is what has me considering it. sure it's about 100 dollars more than it probably should be, but it's the only 40 series card that I wouldn't need to buy a new power supply to accomodate, which would cost at least 100 anyway.
Not to mention AMD has good legacy drivers if you are in for the long run meaning they will support it for a little bit longer than Nvidia does with their cards
Definitely a better card, and if people can get one for the same price I'd very strongly recommend the 6950/ 6900xt over this, but I think AMD is trying to dump their stock and those prices won't last forever. This is the first card of this generation that I've kind of been OK with price/ performance from Nvidia. It's far from amazing, but if they had sold this for the 700-750 they had planned to sell it for, it would have been more in-line with the gouging they've been doing. I think a lot of this is about if they don't go back to the drawing board on the 4060ti/ 4060, those cards are going to get savaged in reviews for the 8gb problem. They won't be a money maker either because people won't buy them, or they'll have to cut the price really substantially to move them.
4070 is what a 4060/4060ti should be, and priced appropriately at $400-500 Would suggest the following updates to naming and pricing: 4070ti->4060ti @ $400 4070->4060 @ $330 4060ti->4050ti @ $300 4060->4050 @ $250 4050->4030 @ $150

@@OugaBoogaShockwave I think AMD is trying to keep up with Nvidia for desktop graphics but put alot of time and effort into console. But on the other side, we can thank AMD for forcing Intel to make good CPU's again
Please do. There's a lot of great AMD offerings that slip through the cracks with reviewers. I'm convinced that is the only reason Nvidia controls the market. Every RTX GPU gets a review but only the top 2 or 3 AMD skus get their 15 minutes. 6750 xt goes blow for blow with the 4070 for $200 less but almost everyone ignored it.
Nice video. Personally I rather have a 4070 that uses under 250watt replace my 1080GTX than go for a 3080 that uses alot more power for around the same performance. Electricity bill should be considered when buying. 4k still looks pretty pointless, rather have 1440p with more fps. Great video!
@@Sushi_bar I think most people on PC play in 1080p :) Benchmark and review videos focuses alot on the more expensive cards, but it's a small minority that has a 3090 or 4090, or the x080 cards.
Well, with inflation it'd be $420 today, so $180 extra (according to usinflationcalculator). Though there's been reshuffling of the line-up since then (with the addition of the xx90 replacing xx80 at the top end, arguably moving the numbers downward in performance). Of course, the 970 was also a somewhat broken card, which should mean the sticker price was lower than it would have been, had all 4GB been truly useable. 😜
Heck yes. I remember and miss those days. A 1080 Ti was the very best price to performance card ever made. Sadly, it's over bud. They will never lower these prices. Unless there's serious competition from AMD, or people stop buying these expensive GPUs altogether. Sadly, it's not going to happen.
@@agoogleuser2369 competition won' t lower prices because AMD wants those premium dollar sales too. Them shuffling $100 either direction in the current price ranges is not meaningful for most consumers. The market would simply have to tank. Seems like enough people are still buying that they are comfortable with these stupid prices.
@@IAmWadih I get your sentiment, but along with inflation, you can tack on increased manufacturing cost (TSMC's smaller nm die), shipping cost (both international and national), import fees and the extra hardware found in GPUs (vram + other components). I can easily see a $200-400 jump, especially if either company wants to retain their "profit margin".
The old adage holds true, "No such thing as a bad card, just a badly priced card". This would be a fantastically powerful yet efficient card if it was reasonably priced.
This is a 4060 (104 die which is normally 60 series) marketed and sold as a more expensive 4070. Both the performance and the low power draw matches 60 series' bracket.
Yeah, and the real kick in the teeth is that this 60 series card was labeled as a 70 series and now it's being sold at an 80 series price. Nvidia can kick rocks with this generation.
104 is not normally 60s, don’t spread misinformation. The 60 series has being using the 106 die since the GTX 660 back in 2012, and the 60 series normally gets the third tier die. If you are simply looking at performance then this card would be an excellent 4060 because the 60 is typically a bit behind the previous gen 80. The reason why the 104 die is performing so poorly is because it’s the third tier die this generation, just renamed to give the illusion of being greater than it is. Also, 200 watts is not low power. That’s the kind of power draw that would be seen by the high-end from before Ampere.
@@Rogerkonijntje And it is at least 30% slower without RT, and with RT there is not even anything to compare. People, understand that the amount of VRAM has nothing to do with performance in typical cases, as AMD and their paid clowns are trying to push to the uninformed. Is this the first time you guys have ever seen GPU comparison video?
The 6950XT would be my choice over this 4070. The ray tracing performance is nearly identical, but the rasterization is far ahead. Also the 16GB of VRAM will have longer legs into the future than the 4070's 12GB. This is all common sense stuff, but people will still go for the inferior Nvidia product just because it's Nvidia. DLSS and power consumption, of course, are selling points, but the fundamentals of the GPU's rasterization power is the most important aspect of these cards.
No more nvidia for me. I will keep that 3060ti for a while, and then move on and not look back. The 12GB of Vram on the 4070 would give me troubles, just like the 2060 6gb and 3060ti 8gb did. Aside from the Vram, overall I don't think its a great gpu to buy. Also I really don't care about DLSS. Its still too early for this tech, ain't worth.

I couldn't bring myself to getting a card with a 3 or 4 slot footprint and I had an open water loop.
Nvidia is giving AIBs rebates for the initial 4070s at launch. The rebates will end in 2 weeks. Expect 4070 prices to skyrocket to $700 to $800 in May!

Compare it to 50% more performance for a 70% higher price in case of the 4080. People have quickly forgotten the two covid years where you couldn't buy a graphics card at all, especially under $1000. It could be worse, and it has been worse.
Really appreciate the data you include in your charts. Other reviewers don't seem to understand that most people are looking to upgrade so are interested in relative performance to popular older GPUs. I have a 5700xt so nice to see it there. Nicd for people like me to see they can get s performance boost without having to upgrade PSU to accommodate the higher end cards.
Well they calculate the price based on availability and pre sales demand. It isn't just price of production + 30% or whatever business studies teaches (that is wrong). The 6950XT was cheap on release for what it was, at the time but now it's older and the supply/demand curve has changed... So it's reflecting that with the discount. If you want to criticise AMD, the thing to target is their DRIVER SUPPORT! That's the bugbear of us AMD users they always release new drivers that break and require a rollback 20 mins later :D
Lmao. AMD litearlly barely undercut Nvidia to account for lack of features. Both companies this gen have shitty pricing. Anything Nvidia has done in terms of price, AMD has followed.
The distinct advantage of a 4070 over similarly performing parts is the small size and power envelope. Could be the best overall option for mid-tier ITX builds since 3060ti-3080 cards are mostly mining leftovers and have intrinsic risks. If the price drops to $500 on sales it would become really appealing.
Also shows how biased people are just based on "Name Branding". AMD has been killing it since the RDNA 1 but still gets ignored by the majority of diy pc gamers...

if it were to launch at that price, they would sell out in about 2 seconds, and end up at ebay for.... you guessed it, around $600. So not only does Nvidia lose out on profit, the end user is still paying the official MSRP.
As a Maxwell 980Ti owner looking to upgrade now for 3 years, AMD is getting my next purchase either on 6000 series or 7000 depending on pricing. I also love how all the reviews from GN, LTT, HUB, Jay, etc.. have all just turned into 'if you want a 4070, go buy a 6800XT, 6950XT or 7900XT depending on pricing'. Sure its not the coverage Nvidia wanted, but its what they deserve. The AMD cards have aged like fine wine.
@@CornOnDeCobb I wouldn't. Better to hold off for the 7800 variant or a 7950/7990 GPU. There are some design flaws in the 7900xt and xtx, which is expected to be addressed in their newer GPUs. As usual, after its all said and done when you move on to new hardware it really puts into perspective how good some previous gen cards like the 6950XT really are and considering prices of the 6950XT at launch and even now, still way more than what you need.
Its actually comical how good the 6950 is compared to the 4070, even in fricking ray tracing, which is supposed to be Nvidias strong point. Though imo the GPU prices are still pretty high. Not insane anymore, just quite high.
Fps per dollar wise its really good until you count in that extra 170W that you pull from your wall. With energy prices skyrocketing here in Europe it really adds up over time. Plus with the 4070 I can still use my good old SF600 Platinum in my DAN-A4 case because it fits and won't become a fire hazard.
@RezaQin hand down my 1080ti to my brother and got evga 3080 12gb. Happy with this card and next upgrade won't be any soon. With DLSS and FSR available it will take longer now to upgrade. Heck with FSR even the 1080ti will last longer.
Depends what you want. I have the 5700, which is not so good beyond 1440p for good framerates on the more demanding games. And I am demanding in resolution, eye-candy and consistent framerates, so my best bet right now is the 6800XT. Costs twice as much as what I paid for the 5700, but basically also doubles the performance. XD But yea, if you're good with 1080p to 1440p and roughly 60fps, then ta 5700XT is going to hold up for a bit, unless you also want those hogs of games towards 4K/60.
@@brugj03 It really depends on your games, but the 1080 is a strong card still. Normally Nvidia releases there new cards late August or September, so I would wait.

This makes me feel good having bought a 6800 XT for 569€ (including taxes) recently with a very similar performance to the 4070, which will probably find itself around the 650-700€ mark (including taxes). The 6800 XT seems to be doing fine and it's probably not going to get worse and the additional VRAM might keep it relevant for a bit longer. Yeah, RTX and DLSS and so on - whatever. I'm happy to see FSR getting better, too. It even helps with keeping my 1070 alive I was using for more than 6 years in my main system now. And now it's sitting in my secondary system with a slight undervolt and will hopefully stay alive for many years to come.
I think they're trying to show comparative performance to the older gen cards, so people who are looking for an upgrade would get that from the review itself rather than looking up GTX 10__ vs RTX 4070. Also hardware unboxed will be updating their benchmark suite to include a lot of the new titles, so that specific request of yours should be covered by that channel in the near future. Also I think GN's Steve might have mentioned something about updating their GPU testing.
Probably because the 1060 (6 GB) was #1 card for like 6 years straight on the Steam hardware survey up until last month (where it actually GAINED ANOTHER 2.6 percentages, lol, but is now in #3 spot). All because of the shitty GPU prices over the years, due to mining. But mining is OVER, Nvidia! You, yourselves (the CTO of Nvidia) declared it as _useless to society._ PS: I have the same card. It served me _well_ and will continue to until the next generation - which I can't wait to skip due to insane prices if Ngreedia doesn't pull their heads out of their asses.
@PERCULATOR YT - Not everyone wants to ALSO deal with not only BUYING a new PSU, but also perhaps selling the old one, as well as replacing the whole thing. - I sure don't, definitely just to jump up a hundred Watts, and I'm not gonna go nuts and get a 900-1000W one. - I'm gonna have to "settle" for a 6800XT this time, which for my availability is also still almost 100 USD less than the 6950XT.

so it`s a tiny bit slower than a 3080 but uses 30% less power and offers DLSS3 on top. Sounds like a portfolio modernization rather than a "next gen"-product.
It only “offers dlss3” because Nvidia artificially limited that to 40 series. It works fine on 30 series, Nvidia just don’t let you use it, so it’s not a selling point.
I recently got myself a 6950 XT when their prices dropped through the floor. The 16 GB VRAM alone makes it the choice to get right now in my book. If you want to push your card into decent quality stuff in the coming time you want that extra VRAM to play with. I was upgrading from an 8GB card and could clearly see it butting its head against its own VRAM ceiling, and my 6950 XT does at times sneak above 12 GB of usage so I wouldn't have been happy with a 12 GB offering. First time with an AMD GPU and I do have some complaints against their software, took me some adjustment to fix some issues, but since I figured out some things it's been pretty good. At least I don't have to repopulate my god damn game library every time I want to change program specific driver settings like I had to on Nvidia. Any ways the 6950 XT is currently an amazing product in terms of price/performance, and it is hard to ignore it almost no matter where you are in the market as a consumer.
I currently run a 2.55 slot (51.05mm) 3060 in an NZXT h210. Being able to go jump to a 2 slot (40.05mm) 4070 and jumping over Asus's 3060ti mini is worth the $100 more. The 6950s route would be great but they don't make any that will fit my h210 (with the 280mm AIO in it) and I don't think I'll be leaving the SFF family anytime soon. Thanks for the great rundown and "THANKS STEVE" for taking the time out and making this video.

I'm glad to see the 1080ti on the list, it certainly makes it easier for me to see a comparison to what i'm currently using. I've been trying to chose a replacement for mine since it's slowly starting to have small frame drops in some more modern games. deciding between going for a late 30 series or just going to 40 has been a bit of a struggle since my 1080ti has lasted so long like a champion.
I'm very happy I got a 6800 XT on a black friday sale. It was an amazing value. Upgraded from an RTX 2060, and am very happy with the performance. I likely won't be upgrading again for years.
Coming from an already maxed out 11GB 1080ti I felt like no 3000 series or 4000 series except maybe the 4090 was worth upgrading to. So I went for the 6950XT for 650,- Pretty pleased so far
I manged to score a 4070 fe recently. Upgraded from a 2070 super. I've seen at least a 30-50 fps improvement (with settings one step higher, so medium to high, or high to ultra) with less power consumption. To me that is a win. I also really like the fe design and that its smaller. It also has zero rgb over the my previous 2070 super which makes my all black stealth builds that much cooler. I am perfectly happy with the 4070 fe.

I used that savings to add to the CPU and got a used 10900k for $215 and a used MSI Z490 MAG Tomahawk MB for $120. I already had 32gb of DDR4, a 2TB NVME and case so I was able to upgrade the whole thing for less than $1k and I've gone from my 1080p/1440p monitor to gaming at native 4k on the livingroom OLED. The way the market overpriced cards, I'm just grateful the 4070 exists at that price point. For someone coming from a 20 series GeForce, this card rules. I'm sure it doesn't for people who have 30 series cards.
It's a shame there was no 3080Ti included in the benchmarks, as now a used 3080Ti can be bought for about as much as a 4070, these would be very good to compare. Honestly if the 4070 was sold at $500 it would be an incredibly well priced card.

At this point I think we're all just waiting to see how bad Nvidia or AMD will mess up everytime either makes a new GPU. Well, everyone except people who actually need a new GPU.
4K for gaming doesn't make sense, imo. We're still a gen or two away from that opening up to where it's a no-brainer (like 1440p has become, because most current good cards support it well).
@@joesterling4299 I don't know, if you don't play the latest games, 4k is entirely doable if you don't mind 60fps~ gaming. For some games the 4k matters more, like strategy games and many CPU bound games. I've been doing 4k even on my 2070 on many older games and it's been a very good experience. For many games it's even worth taking down graphical settings to achieve playable fps. I think 4k is absolutely worth going for over 1440p, especially on any screen bigger than 40 inch.

Even though I like Nvidia and have used only their cards for almost the last 20 years (I did live my ATI Radeon 9700Pro TV) I am back to team Red because of Nvidia's ridiculous pricing. My 6650 XT was cheap and runs 4k great in most games without a hitch. The only thing I am missing out on is Ray Tracing in the games that support it... which for me is only Cyberpunk 2077 so far. When I can get a CPU, Motherboard, memory and GPU for less than their upper mid level card... that is crazy. I loved my GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB. I picked it up for $300 and the power draw is not crazy high. I'm still running my Antec EarthWatts 650w PS I picked up 15 years ago and don't feel the need to replace that or use anything but stock cooling and a pair of 120mm case fans for cooling. My daughter and her husband now use my old system parts... Ryzen 3 1400, ASRock B350, 16GB memory, GeForce GTX 1060, WD 1GB hard drive, Antec 550w PS, Antec Case, and a 23" 1080p monitor. I have a Ryzen 5 5600, ASRock B550, 16GB memory, AMD Radeon 6650XT, 1TB NVME gen 3+, 4TB backup drive, ASUS 28" 4k monitor, Creative Labs 5.1 surround speakers, Razor Mamba KB+M, LG Blu-ray burner, Antec case, 1080P web cam, Canon TR4720 printer... It is a good system. I can not justify putting more than $100 or so into most parts and $200-300 into a few parts. The increased quality or performance is just not worth the massive increase in cost. I got a good 5 years out of my Ryzen 1400. Heck in the last 10-15 years the only thing I have ever had die was a cheap $50 SSD I got on Black Friday 4-5 years ago. It only lasted a year. I just pass the parts down until they outlive the second computer... sometimes the third. They usually are in a system for 10 years minimum.
I know it seems silly, but for someone like me on a Vega 56 the idea of a massive increase in performance whilst not having to burst the bank for another PSU is enticing and may actually save me more money overall
I got the 5700XT for $400. Same with the 1070 prior. Same with the 290X before that. Titans aside, these were either the fastest GPUs or one tier below the fastest GPUs available at the time. I don't understand who is even buying these $600-$2000 cards to make servicing ONLY the high end viable. It seems only Intel is trying to release GPUs to cater (well) to the range I buy in. How is the former "high end" now the "low end"?
Imagine 6950 XT running FSR 3... Dude the FPS of that GPU would be way higher than the RTX 4070...and it's worth it. Nvidia should of made RTX 4070 for $499 IMO
Nvidias purpose of selling these gpus are not entirely based on gaming purposes but on AI/editing videos and such as well, not to consider better perfomance with raytracing. Why do they consider themselves more worthy with THAT pricetag increase, i honestly don't know, i guess it's just Nvidia marketing BS.

Good point.

Power consumption matters if you only have a 650w PSU, that's an extra $100 right there. In that case, it ruins the value of the 69XX XTs.
@@jaronmarles941Exactly and it's stupid everyone avoiding this point, 250W is big enough difference in PSU + cooling requirements.....

Love the depth of your reviews. My thoughts as well.
It only “offers dlss3” because Nvidia artificially limited that to 40 series. It works fine on 30 series, Nvidia just don’t let you use it, so it’s not a selling point.
y, its a turd
The 3080 was released 2.5 years before this card at $100 more than the 4070 for slightly better performance.
With a 1080Ti I'm definitely gonna skip this gen and ride mine to the very end. The price are sick. Hard pass.
have the same card, was tempted to get a 4070 but that price is a big turn off, think I'll just buy a ps5 instead and forget about pc gaming for a while
Do you really think the next gen will get cheaper lol
@@fn264 Do you really think people will suddenly start buying if they already can't afford it now? lol Cause at these prices I know of many other expensive hobbies I'd rather be doing instead
@@Ipsissimus those cards selling well lol
Then Stick with your 1080 forever xD
High end gpus wont get lower then 800 Dollar anymore.
@f wef at this point only used looks attractive. Maybe 3070
Steve do you guys rerun some of these cards when you do these game charts? I only ask bc some of the last few drivers for AMD have really improved performance. My 6900XT has had some noticable jumps in FPS even just in the last 6-8 months compared to when I got it
Can confirm, even raytracing is decent now with 69XX
I'm glad to see the 1080ti on the list, it certainly makes it easier for me to see a comparison to what i'm currently using. I've been trying to chose a replacement for mine since it's slowly starting to have small frame drops in some more modern games. deciding between going for a late 30 series or just going to 40 has been a bit of a struggle since my 1080ti has lasted so long like a champion.
Seeing the 1070 too made me both happy to see it included, and sad due to how expensive an worthwhile upgrade seems to be
Have u decided to upgrade? What did u choose
Cs2: comes out
Steve: *finally time to include og Cs:Go*
I'm very happy I got a 6800 XT on a black friday sale.
So I went for the 6950XT for 650,-
Pretty pleased so far
I manged to score a 4070 fe recently. Upgraded from a 2070 super. I've seen at least a 30-50 fps improvement (with settings one step higher, so medium to high, or high to ultra) with less power consumption. To me that is a win. I also really like the fe design and that its smaller. It also has zero rgb over the my previous 2070 super which makes my all black stealth builds that much cooler. I am perfectly happy with the 4070 fe.
Medium to high? I'm surprised for $600 you can't just slap everything on ultra
@@gamesmaster1060 that’s not all on the card, optimization is also isn’t good enough in some titles so it’s better to lower settings
I picked up a used 3080ti for $650 and I love it! Based on the info given in this review, it seems like it was a really good deal.
Used 3080ti for $650!??? 😢 sorry bro but that’s not a good deal. You can get better gpus brand new with those 650.
@@YashPatel97335 Would you say a used RTX 3080 FE for $450 is a good deal? I'm currently deciding if i should pull the trigger. I'm coming from a GTX 1080 FE.
That's awesome! What a steal!
@@YashPatel97335 I guess I could have waited for the 4070 but at the time I needed a new card, there wasn't a release date. So the 4070ti was the only competition and it was $150-$200 more. It's pretty damn sweet!
I always keep this as last review I watch for a given card and, as usual, is the cherry on top! Thanks Steve
Here in Canada, Newegg is currently selling the 6950xt at minimum $1300 (other than asrock)
The way the market overpriced cards, I'm just grateful the 4070 exists at that price point. For someone coming from a 20 series GeForce, this card rules. I'm sure it doesn't for people who have 30 series cards.
Thanks for the review. It reminded me to take my antidepressants.
Would you share some?
@@fajaradi1223 He took them all. None left.
I feel bad about how hard I laughed at this
It's a shame there was no 3080Ti included in the benchmarks, as now a used 3080Ti can be bought for about as much as a 4070, these would be very good to compare. Honestly if the 4070 was sold at $500 it would be an incredibly well priced card.
I don't get why people compare with used prices. Used comes with a certain amount of risk as well as reduced longevity
It was $400 at best buy during september where I live. Great deal and amazing card for that price but for $500 or 600 I would just go AMD tbh.
Every day I remember the great purchase I made with the RX 6800XT a 1,5 years ago, I can’t have done it better!
Just bought a 4070 FE. Thanks for review. Think I made the right choice 6 months later. Would love an update video on how cards sit now with driver updates and DLSS 3
I just bought the 4070 FE and I'm getting super awesome results. 1440 Alienware DWF intel 12700 F Z790 with 3 fan liquid Cooler 990pro SSD and my temps are running at 38C Running ultra in all games . Halo infinite Apex 240 Fps maxed out and CP 2077 with 850 pcu. I'm super happy with the 4070. I had the 4090 and the 4080 and I prefer a cooler running system . that's just My 2 Cents with all the testing I've done hands on. Cheers Mate
This will be disappointing
At this point I think we're all just waiting to see how bad Nvidia or AMD will mess up everytime either makes a new GPU. Well, everyone except people who actually need a new GPU.
Indeed it is
This *IS* disappointing.
You were right. This IS will be disappointing. It is was very disappointing. 😂
Was obvious from the start of 40 series. Only 4090 is not disappointing if you can afford it.
Great video, at 1080p and 1440p it’s worth considering if you have a 3070 or below. For 4K this card just does not make sense imo.
The legendary RX 580 keeping up with the GTX 1070 in the charts. The RX 580 kept me gaming through the GPU apocalypse when GTX 1060s were selling for $300
Just bought a 6950 xt for $629 total. So excited
Overpriced Nvidia, yet people are still preferring them.
Outside of specific use cases, buy the 6950xt, folks.
Yeah im on a rx 5700 xt and not having to buy a psu and still get good gains at 1080/1440 AND eye candy like ray tracing is enticing!
All I know is that these cards are making me happy about my 6800 XT
My 3090 that I got for $800 used is looking pretty good value specially with its 24GB VRAM and since I play in 1440p resolution.
