They're helping to change what's mainstream with universally recognizable amazingness. That's good for the children and they're graced with what it takes and the timing is perfect to blow up. We need everyone possible to see this and rise up inspired. Their music has opened up some shuttered windows I had forgotten were even in my drafty house.

I think so. It is the beginning of a separate song that she combined for this performance. I think she does that pretty often depending on the vibe of the live show. The song separately is pretty, but their live show is full of energy from start to finish and that song is not super lively. She likely performs it more often in performances that are more centered around slam poetry.

They have been playing with 9-10 members for years around New Orleans, so these are not new members. Etienne on Tenor Sax/Triangle has been with them since 2013. Danny on Guitar about 2 years. It's great that that are getting to take the whole crew on the road.

If you really want to see their range, you should search their NPR tiny desk concert that they won in 2015 that launched them to a new platform. So many feels. And if you want to see why a few amigos and I are driving six hours to see them live in August, then you should search their "Vevo" performance of "Quick". I NEED TO experience that in person!
