Thanks for the interview! I do appreciate the Zen engineers efforts in reducing the lag issues, and you can see the improvement in their latest 4K pinball releases. I do like Zen's new games, but I also would like to have the best classic pinball games, like Mars Attacks. I understand that licensing may be an issue, but I would like to see more Stern games (new and old favorites) ported over to the AtGames 4K format.
The fact that they want a long term relationship with Atgames is AWESOME! Two thumbs way up for that! 👍🏻👍🏻I would like to see them bring more tables based on real machines to their platforms! Bally-Williams has some awesome tables including Gilligan’s Island, Bugs Bunny’s 50th anniversary, Star Wars episode one, and the Phantom Menace! Does anyone know if that one version of Batman 66 is owned by Williams too? If so, it would be great to have it! Keep making those tables, fix the flipper lag and take more of my money! 👍🏻👍🏻

For zen tables latency on 4kp it sounds like an issue with epic games unreal engine. Sounds to me like they need to move the controller inputs up higher in the processing code but who knows, only zen. I'm just happy to see them acknowledge it and confirm it's high priority and how painful it is
I'm also happy to see it's a high priority and working with Epic and Google to get it figured out. Some of the more recent tables demonstrate less of an issue with latency (not gone, but much better). I'm hopeful they'll have this nailed down soon.

That's what happens when you ship your hardware 6 months before you know if the software will run properly, LOL. AtGames gotta AtGames! They never learn from mistakes. They are STILL shipping pin cabinets without cabinet keys and power cables, 5 months into the product launch.

Great interview Wagner! Next interview, maybe also ask about the discrepancy in sound effects and surround sound feedback between Zen Tables and Magic Pixel tables on the AtGames 4KP. Magic Pixel tables definitely utilize the SFX much better. Hopefully this is second highest priority after the flipper lag issue.

@@WagnersTechTalkreal talk for a sec. Atgames knew there was lag probably for over a year. No excuse for releasing the product and four months later say its a priority and try to push the fix to third parties
Over a year? It wasn't until just before PE '23 in mid Oct. when a build occurred for the expo and a few weeks prior to that the Zen+AtGames partnership was announced. There are improvements that are needed, though some of the most recent tables demonstrate less latency. Zen and AtGames have some very bright folks working on it and fortunately are able to make those updates available when they are ready.

Nice interview John. I'm curious if we'll ever see any of the UI and notification type updates on the Legends 4k pinball. I suspect not, but I think they would sound like welcome additions.

We desperately need some Zen tables brought to the Atgames 4KP ! FISH TALES , Please ! It's taking too long for them to port some good Pinball FX or even FX3 tables over to the 4KP.
I would love to see more tables added soon also! A few are coming later this month.
still waiting for an ice-hokey table, super league always has been a lot of fun, got it on 3 systems even.

That's a tough question to answer. Once PinballNet is available, that may be the most economical means of playing PinballFX tables on the 4KP, but I've personally not seen it at this point nor do I know what tables will be available on the platform. We'll find out together. I'll have to defer that question until more is known.

Not exactly making someone think they will be able to fix the problem. I'm having a sneaking feeling there will have to be some sort of hardware repair to fix it if they can't come up with a software fix.
It doesn't seem like a hardware issue based on what Anna stated. If it was, we'd see the same with the other built-in tables and far sight tables, which we don't. It appears to be primarily optimizing the engine for minimal input latency and why she mentioned working with Epic and Google. That is my understanding.
@@WagnersTechTalk I'm not a tech guy. All I'm saying is everything I watched her say was she hoped it would be fixed. But she may not even be involved in fixing it. When I said hardware I meant it as 'if' they can't fix it software wise then the only other option I can think of to fix it is changing something in the hardware. Which I'm betting isn't an option. I really hope they do fix it. I have several Zen tables now and really like the looks of them. I just can't play them with the lag and won't buy anymore Zen tables until it's fixed. It's just frustrating because I bought this AtGames table because of Zen being involved and really liking the tables they make. I don't think having this work right is asking too much considering It costs 2 Grand to buy it. Whether it's AtGames or Zen's issue doesn't matter. They partnered into this and should have remedied this before even sending it out to consumers. I would rather have waited instead of having this. I know this has nothing to do with you. I'm just venting my frustration because I love the product.

Please don’t put any more tables out for Atgames 4k until lag is fixed.
I was so happy when zen got the williams rights. But farsight, although not perfect, used the rights way better.
Was really hoping zen would be THE pinball app/game. With own originals, williams and later on stern and jersey jack etc. Now Zen made so many pinballgames, pinball fx3, pinball fx4, zen pinball. Pinball M, apple arcade pinball, on netflix.....
So many platforms where we just needed one big one. On top of that, they do barely nothing with the williams license. Why ‘steal’ the license from farsight and kill that company, and than doing nothing with it.
Big shame.

Question ? How many users are left on your game Pinball FX 23-24 Because quite frankly on Xbox everyone is gone. Because Zen Studios made the choice to make former users pay for the tables that were in Pinball FX 3. Pretending that the tables could not be imported to their Pinball Fx 2023-2024 which it was running on UR5. Which is a completely lame argument. What Zen Studio tries to do is promote at least 60% or more so that people think they are listening but it's quite the opposite. Zen Studios betrayed their Pinball FX fans. Because it could have made available to former Pinball FX 3 users their tables unlocked in Pinball FX 23-24.
