Very welcome Rob, I appreciate your kind comments and support! Let me know what you think about it once you get it setup, I'm enjoying reading the comments about everyone's experience.
@@WagnersTechTalk you had mentioned the FDX setup briefly with a 256GB flash drive, but the popup says to partition above 32gb. Knowing that CoinOpsX is coming later, don't we need to partition the drive? Or SHOULD we partition the drive? And if so, what is the recommended sizes? Thanks again for a great video.
@@ShaneChristopher Hi Shane, if you want to setup two partitions (x1 for FDX and x1 for UCE files), it's up to you. Although, if you have a 256GB drive you may want to allocate the first partition to 64/128GB (FDX), the rest for the .UCE files. The reason is the pinball tables will be a bit larger for the 4KP and more storage will likely be needed at some point. The basic information here should help with the .UCE files and should be playable from BYOG: wagnerstechtalk.com/al-coinopsxv/
Hello, I giving this machine to a child that after the initial setup, will not be able to connect to WiFi. Will that be something that will make the system unusable? I don’t mean from an update point of view, I understand that I mean from a sign in point of view? Or is the machine still usable without WiFi connection?
I keep mine connected at all times, where it may present a problem is for games that didn't come with the machine. That is, if you download additional games for the child, make sure you mark them in offline mode in settings (more on that here wagnerstechtalk.com/4kpsettings/#Offline_Mode ). That way, even without internet the tables should be able to play. Optionally, if the child has a cellphone he/she could use a hotspot to periodically update the machine (if it's something of interest). Hope some of this is helpful.

Awesome, congratulations!!! I'll have to step up my game now. Glad to hear the vids were helpful to you, dang now I have to go play again (for the 3rd time today).
Thanks Jon for the awesome instructional video. Although its hard watching everyone get their Addams Family 4k Pinball first, while I'm here mashing my imaginary flippers, but the pay off is of course the SSF pre-installed. This video will definitely come in handy in about a month🤞 , and hopefully, you also have the SSF instructional video out by then.
Thank you Dale, I appreciate you sir! I know, it seems like forever and a day when I had to first EVT model here. We've seen so many improvements during that time and now the machines are shipping! Planning to have the SSF video this week sometime, may be starting it as early as tomorrow.
Will they have all the Zen tables available for this machine? Addams Family is cool but I would love it if they came out with a Sorcerer's Lair themed table.
You'll be able to purchase additional tables, I recently showed Peanut's Snoopy in a short YT video. Eventually, all tables may become available but that's up to Zen and AtGames if/when that will occur. I don't have any timelines, etc. for all tables.
When playing Addams family and get to multiball my machine constantly tilts while playing...it is awful and ruins the game on top of the lag issues. I do not know what else to do. Have tried switching the flipper and nudge buttons and nothing has helped. I have tried all the settings and nothing has helped. Am I missing something? Haptic feedback has not helped either. Any suggestions and I would be grateful. Thank u

Just got the unit today and it looks like they have not shipped the upgraded speakers yet. Do you suggest waiting until the upgraded speakers arrive to assemble the unit or assemble the unit now? I would recommend going ahead and assembling it, it won't take long. Plus, it will actually be easier to add the SSF kit to it if it's already assembled. I'm working on the SSF installation video tonight. I installed the kit last night, starting the edits tonight. Hoping to have it completed this week. To save a little time, you could leave the backbox cover off unless you have pets or small kids that might try to mess with the wires.

So, I just got done setting up the machine with guidance from your videos and everything went perfect! Can't imagine how much louder the upgraded speakers will be since me and my wife are very impressed with the original speakers so far. One thing I notice that I would like your opinion on when you get a chance.....I also installed the control panel using your old guide and it was straight forward BUT we noticed that the new control panel somehow distorts the bass in the sound and it vibrates the panel to the point it sounds like the panel is buzzing from vibration....applying a little pressure to the panel frees this from happening but it's as if the control panel needs a little bit more padding for the 4k machine not to buzz the control panel. You may experience this when you install, or it just may be me lol. Please let me know what you find if you do install. Thanks again!@@WagnersTechTalk
I thought I replied last night, but looks like it didn't go through. To adjust the haptic strength, please see this: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Adjust_Haptics . Yours is likely set all the way up, but can be easily lowered. I'll get around to swapping over to the arcade control panel soon. I'll have an SSF video out sometime later today (I think). It seems to be ready to go.
One difference my 4KP had was when I did the day 1 update....it completed the download and the screens just went black and never rebooted. I waited about 20 minutes and it just never rebooted. I had to power down the system, and when I turned it back on, the update process started. The rest of the updates ran normally after that. Not sure what was up with that, but everything seems fine. I have bought all available table packs for my 4KP, 140 tables. They all fit on the internal storage with space to spare. I did add an FDX drive, but haven't actually installed anything to it yet.
When the screen went black here, it sat there for awhile but did eventually continue. I think when we start getting more Zen titles is when we'll see the internal storage begin to fill up a bit. But, it's going to take a lot of Zen titles to do that.
Jon, thanks for all your great work on this. I have a question about the flipper solenoids. At 9:43 into this video, under Haptic Feedback, it states that the solenoid strength is adjustable. I do not see this anywhere in my new 4KP, only the option to have them on or off. Was this option removed under the latest update? If so, do you know if it will return. Hopefully it will, because these solenoids are way to loud to leave on. Thanks.
Hi Dave, unfortunately yes that feature was removed. I was bummed about it too, I also showed it in the SSF first look video. I didn't realize that until getting the production machine and updating to 6.0.5. I asked AtGames if we could have it reinstated, I'm not sure where that stands. I want to see it added back myself.
@@WagnersTechTalk Thanks for the quick reply. Hopefully they add this back soon. Maybe when the SSF kits are released. 🤷🏼♂ And still waiting for the update to download purchased Pinball packs.

Got the 256GB you linked, but ill run a partition for attract mode stuff. My question is though the machines states only 32GB is used, but you appear to get the full 222GB allocation. Are we able to use larger than 32GB now to install all the tables? My intention is to move the pinballnet tables to it. Thanks Wagner
EDIT Ok.. it appears the 32GB is misleading and we can set any size. I put 200GB in first partition exFat because tables are going to eat an enormous amount of space. First table downloaded was class of 1812 almost 1.75GB alone. The other 39GB I set aside for attract mode files formated ntsf. Working great 👍
I'm 99% sure you can go much larger, the exact upper limit I'm not sure of but I've heard 2TB is the max tested (I think I recall hearing). It was one of my early questions during the evt series. On your edit, I'm wondering if when downloading it's actually 1812 @1.75GB or the entire pack. I'm thinking it's the entire pack, but haven't verified that.
@@WagnersTechTalk so I download it's around 780mb, but states files could take up to 1.7GB for the game. Great to hear about the allocated space, and attract mode files makes it really stand out

Great Video. Any idea if the flipper lag is being addressed? I can confirm this is an issue when playing mine. Very noticeable when playing the other tables which are buttery smooth and switching to the Adams Family. It’s jarring and makes me not want to play the main title…
Thank you! My understanding is that the latency is the #1 priority for Zen/AtGames. I think it has more to do with the audio latency rather than the flippers. Please see the 2nd paragraph here: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Legends_Pinball_4K_Latency . While the flipper latency could certainly be better, I think it's the audio that mostly adds to the perception of a delay. Try turning down the volume and solenoids off, try TAF and see if it makes a difference to you. Obviously, we don't want to play that way but would be good to hear if you notice a difference.
@wagner does anyone know the flipper lag on one of the deluxe tables like dr Seuss or ice age on the legends alp hd for comparison? Curious if they are also the same or much lower than Adams family on 4k.
Jon, one thing that I didn’t see covered. I have already received the Arcade Control Panel for the 4KP. Should I install it prior to the initial boot of the table. My assumption is that it would be recognized and integrated if done first. What are your recommendations as this is my first AtGames product.
Great video as always. Quick question to you or anyone: What does this pinball machine cost and how large in inches is the playfield? Thanks much. Looking forward to more great video like this!
Thank you! All the dimensions are here: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Cabinet_Comparison_HD_vs_4KP . All the currently available cabinets are here with links to pre-order each: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Table_Editions
Jon a lot of people on Facebook group stating there is still flipper lag in Adam’s family. Did you notice any in snoopy as well ? One user stated he was also getting ball glitching in games like dynasaur dynasty and a couple other ATgames stock games. I know you said in your video you didn’t have flipper lag. Can you advise on what might be causing this in others machines. Thanks for the content !
Please see here for all the details on flipper latency: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Legends_Pinball_4K_Latency In the yellow area, there is a video to demonstrate the numbers as of 1/27/2024
@norcal3893 use samsung fit plus drives. Never a prob. The sandisk runs extremely hot and even gave me update errors extracting files yesterday on the atgames HD. The Lexors wants work either
Got mine today. Hooked it all up like it’s suppose to. Monitor ribbon not connected to motherboard. Right side flipper button had only one of the 2 wires connected. After figuring these issues out on my own & the hard way, all is operational. The lag in Addams fam game is still there & imo makes it unplayable. The other games work just fine.
Glad you got everything working, that's the first I've heard of cables being completely disconnected. I'm glad you figured it out, I can pass that along to AtGames if you want? I tested the latency of four tables, you may find this interesting: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Legends_Pinball_4K_Latency . 83ms isn't bad but I think the perceived latency is mostly attributed to the audio of the flipper (playing once the flipper is at the top, instead of immediately). I know it's a high priority for AtGames+Zen.
@@WagnersTechTalk flippers have lag, ball seems non fluid & “skippy”, & plunger is really off. As mentioned that’s only in the flagship title Addams Fam. A couple other games seem a little off, but could be me getting use to VP. Most games play great. I find myself playing ‘Spooky’ & ‘Cinestar’ most. Really wish Addams played better. I contacted AtGames as soon as I put it together & noticed the disconnects but haven’t gotten a response yet.
Must be nice having one that works right. Mine has ZERO games on it. After logging in it told me I had downloads in App store X so when I went there it says I have 0 programs and I can't open digital locker. Not starting out well for me with this machine.
Make sure you applied the component update. Perhaps go back into settings and select any update options you find there. Once all updates are completed, you should see the 15 games after the reboot. If not, open a ticket with AtGames. They have been very helpful to many, their CS team is doing an impressive job (from what I'm hearing) in resolving issues quickly.
@@WagnersTechTalkare you able to test the flipper lag again and let us know i’m very concerned about the latency hoping that the day one update fixed it… still waiting for my machine also! Great video by the way
If you have the 5Ghz/2.4Ghz WiFi bands separated on your WiFi router (two separate network names), connect to the 5Ghz band. The update will certainly go faster and the connection likely more reliable.
Up and going now. Amazing machine other than the lag. I play vpx on my PC and it's not like this. The lag is enough it makes it hard to play. And the lag varies so it's hard to compensate for. Even with all the extras off.
Lag is priority #1 for AtGames+Zen right now, from what I understand. There will be an update on Feb. 20th, but don't think it will fix the latency issue with Addams.
I would recommend reaching out to AtGames support here: www.atgames.net/arcades/contact/ on that issue. There is a small purple icon in the lower-right that you can use to reach out to a live agent during business hours. They may have a suggestion to assist.

Notification e-mails are going out in batches, additional information was posted on their Facebook page yesterday. You'll find that post here: facebook.com/AtGamesGaming
@@WagnersTechTalkthank you for the reply! I will give it a try!
@wagner does anyone know the flipper lag on one of the deluxe tables like dr Seuss or ice age on the legends alp hd for comparison? Curious if they are also the same or much lower than Adams family on 4k.
I've not personally done any lag tests on the ALP HD. It's something I started when the 4KP arrived here.
@@WagnersTechTalk for us non pinball lag experts I simply want to know if it is the same or worse than what I am used to.
Maybe I can check. Not sure how to measure in milliseconds !!!
Jon, one thing that I didn’t see covered. I have already received the Arcade Control Panel for the 4KP. Should I install it prior to the initial boot of the table. My assumption is that it would be recognized and integrated if done first.
What are your recommendations as this is my first AtGames product.
Either way will be fine.
wagner, how do i install tables i've purchased before i received my machine?
AtGames will be providing information on that, once I have all the details I'll add it to the written guide.
Does the machine have exciters like the hd one has?
Yes, there are two on the front panel.
Aside from the obvious way of turning off the switch is there another way to power down the machine properly?
The power switch is all you need to turn off the machine, there is no other method of shutting it down.
Thank you!
All the currently available cabinets are here with links to pre-order each: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Table_Editions
did you get a special code for peanuts?
AtGames will be making it available soon. This was a prerelease for testing and demonstration.
Please see here for all the details on flipper latency: wagnerstechtalk.com/alp4k/#Legends_Pinball_4K_Latency
In the yellow area, there is a video to demonstrate the numbers as of 1/27/2024
Did you have to make 2 partitions to make that flash drive work
I've tried both, either works just fine.
It must just don’t like SanDisk brand it formats but doesn’t let me save on it
@norcal3893 use samsung fit plus drives.
Thanks for the videos! Still waiting for my invoice email… 💀
Did the update impove the flipper lag?
My wife thinks so! A new updates was released today, a little different than the one I was testing a few weeks ago. Just updated about 45min. ago.
@@WagnersTechTalkare you able to test the flipper lag again and let us know i’m very concerned about the latency hoping that the day one update fixed it… still waiting for my machine also! Great video by the way
Anyone elses firmware update froze at 0%? Or it says failed before trying to download. Got connection but it's like the server is busy or something.
Connected to server now. 4 separate downloads so far. Firmware and 3 "update internal component" totaling around 4 GB.
I bought the original model from 4 years ago. There's no way to input a wifi password and a usb keyboard isn't responding either
I would recommend reaching out to AtGames support here: www.atgames.net/arcades/contact/ on that issue. There is a small purple icon in the lower-right that you can use to reach out to a live agent during business hours. They may have a suggestion to assist.
How about the delay?? Tell us how it plays thanks
