A few years ago I was so lucky to thrift similar black vans slip-ons 98 dx with suede panels and similar chunky sole; mine had that classic black stripe around the sole - with that shoes I could feel huge difference between the regular vans, so this model is also worth recommended

I have the Vans Slip-On Pros in an all-black colourway that I wanted to experiment with various outfits, but couldn't as it had been raining 3 - 4 times a week where I am. One thing I was worried about is that most of the techwear fit pics with the slip-on either have it in a white or black/white colourway, so seeing a lack of black slip-on made me questioned if I had chosen the wrong colourway for this type of style (hopefully not). I was wondering how you would style with these if you don't mind me asking though, lol.

One thing with the skate pro, sometimes you may get ingrowns from wearing them while skating then i find i would sometimes get ingrowns compared to something like converse
I like the uniqlo u crew neck the most the color and the fit is so good but I think if you swaped the vans with other sneakers, all outfit will look better tbh
I am just having a hard time figuring out what brand and material would be best for where I live. I'm in a tropical humid hot climate but still want to buy pants and shorts that can protect me from the elements while staying stretchy and breathable...

the slip ons are quite slim and simple for sure. its a good super basic shoe but there are others that pop more for sure
