I agree with you that every Joe should come with the XMLR, and every Cobra trooper/Viper should come with the counter-part weapon. Every figure should come with a foot stand too. And I'm mildly disappointed that Bazooka and Alpine didn't come with their own Fudgie bars, because that would have been a really fun tie-in ( and buying incentive) in-joke for the characters.
I finally received my Alpine figure. If you use Cobra Island Gung Ho's backpack, you can attach the 2 guns on the sides, the grapple on the bottom. The 2 climbing pick axes can attach to the loops on the belt. All accessories can attach to the figure and hands free. Give it a try.
Back then we were poor and I can only save up for couple of months to buy my first g.i Joe figure. I chose Alpine as my first because he has plenty of accessories just to maximise the worth of my purchase.
Alpine gear can definitely open up for future Rock Vipers! As soon as those rock pick axes, I immediately thought of POC Artic Destro! still waiting on mine and great review!
I like the face sculpt, maybe because I don't have a defined version of Alpine in my head. I don't like the hat though, it's iconic to Alpine but the Classified hat just looks puffy and sort of goofy. I swapped it out for the beret from Stalker.
Either via Canada if they got them in already or Asia would be my guess. I got mine from a seller out of Asia in early Sept but I’m waiting on the U.S. preorders to ship I have in for unopened collecting of this figure too
They wiffed on Alpine, in my opinion. The goofy head sculpt, 90% reused weapons and no backpack. They could've gone all out with this guy. At the very least, they could've included a pack to carry the only accessories that weren't reused. A simple set of crampons would've gone a long way too. I really hope they don't cop out with Hit & Run, when they finally get around to making him.
@@charlockprime I agree the accessory choices aren’t the best but the back pack from Scarlett and the smg that came with either the crimson twins or the SE movie Baroness will go well with this version of Alpine.
Just in time for the trio to get their butts handed to them by Nemesis Enforcer hehe. (If he ever shows up for order hehe) Wait the trio is Gung Ho, Bazooka and Alpine :P Yes I just got to that part in the video :P
Just waiting on my Amazon order for him and the Storm Shadow and Grenadier. The hat seems off, like its a tad to big, which is weird because Hasbro has more or less got the hats and helmets down pretty good with a few exceptions. No backpack is weird. I'd get the Grid Iron set, but I really just want the gun and backback. I wish he'd make like super slimmed down character packs for cheaper. I like the dudes work, but his prices are a bit on the high end. I do agree that the Joe Laser Rifle and Cobra SMG should be standard with every Joe and Cobra respectively. Oh and I have a question. You've probably said it in a previous video, but whats your beef with the slimmed down packaging? Doesn't really feel all that different from the previous Classified packaging aside from being a bit smaller and more compact? Not complaining or arguing I'm just curious. I don't give a shit about the packaging on my figures as it goes straight into the trash after I open them up. Decent Filecards is the one thing I want them to do in terms of packaging got the line. The Retro lines filecards suck, mostly because they choose to put the one line of info in 4 languages.
@The_Rage_Kage i think overall I'm annoyed at the amount of changes for the packaging in general, but for these, they just seem so bland/boring compared to the last 2 designs. I'm glad they kept the digital mock up, but i guess a little more flash could pull eyes to them on the shelves
Remember the jingle. Frozen Fudgies, what a treat Lots of cholate, really sweet Full of toffee, raisins and nuts. They melt in your mouth (And turn to lead in your gut) Closest thing to that I can think of would be maybe Raisinettes or a Heath bar, but neither of them come together that way. Still so cool to see these three together in this style.
I would of like him to have been a deluxe figure and came with a head lamp and night vision , binoculars, a back pack (maybe the tunnel rat one with the flash lights that can affix to it or the out back back pack ) the rope wolf spider came with and some new stuff , he should been a figure that all his accessories can be carried on the figure ……great figure but very odd choice of accessories
I’m bummed he didn’t come with a backpack to hold all that extra gear. A different weapon would’ve been nice. Something more compact and with a strap - maybe the same weapon as the Outback figure. The hat is wonky. The rest of the climbing gear is pretty cool but they missed the mark with excluding a backpack.
this wave really gives off vibes that they were running low on budget at the end of the 2024 product lineup schedule with all of the reused weapons and parts. Not saying it’s just trash by any means, but it’s definitely feeling a bit same-y recently. Lol
Ugh, I hate what I'm about to write as I feel like I'm going to sound like "one of those guys". That said, although this Alpine is true to the original, I prefer my custom outfitted with the Mountaineer kit from Grid Iron.
Something odd has been happening with the face sculpts (I assume a different designer) one you spend a certain amount of years with a line you start to recognize different artists (like comic books) some are clearly better than others and the one who’s done this one the Haslab and the roadpig has leaned away from the realistic aspect of early waves and now has a more cartoonish goofy look or dull and characterless look.
I loved Alpine, got the original figure on a family camping trip to the mountains when I was four or five. The Classified looks too much like a weekend warrior mountain climber. I passed on him, which bums me out since I was looking so forward to him. I think the climbing gear will be modified and used for Hit & Run.
Interesting… I didn’t even notice the two right forearms issue till seeing it mentioned in the comments. Mine is correct he doesn’t have the two right forearm issue that you got here. Cosmetic I know. I got mine back in early September- paid that impatient cost of course. Only decided to go that route when they pushed this figure release out from Oct 1 to Dec 1. Cool review and commentary on their areas of improvements for classified. This is the first time I’ve ever owned Alpine, never had him in the prior releases. I don’t like the head articulation being so limited for him to look up -with this buck. Happy to have him already but maybe he’s next up for release from pulse and not far out December. I have made my own v2 Alpine with an extra Outback TF buck I had. I dyed the skin on it to match Alpines and it worked better than I thought it would. I wish I could find a similar jacket to add but haven’t found one that works for the v2 Alpine I have. The tiger logo being the other thing I wish I could remove other than painting over it to cover that up lol maybe I’ll luck out with orange that matches the shirt or paint the shirt some shade of green or off white -choose my own adventure wit that Anywho good review Bobby enjoy
They should of gave him a hand with gi Joe credit card as a nod to the cartoon they could of used the hand they used with agent wu from the ant man movie and repaint the hand and tampo on the the card to look like the gi Joe credit card
That frozen fudgy bar should have came with a bite taken out of it, instead of a solid piece. Quick Kick face sculpt always looks like he’s chewing on something anyway. Well at least to me it does.

@@baratiecook Good choice! He's a fun character!
Mine is on the way. But the face sculp should of been slim face.
I picked Alpine up. Only crime on this figure is he’s missing a backpack. I guess I can use a backpack from another figure.
TF Dusty or Alley Viper backpacks would work.
He's on preorder. I do wish there were a couple of different accessories, and I agree that more figures should come with the Sunbow rifle.

Road Pig, Urban Camo Storm Shadow and now Alpine are way too "soft" sculpturally, too cartoonish. This trend needs to stop.
