I know that you imply that you overthink quite a bit and so, being so free with your streams of consciousness processing while not editing everything out to make things seem "perfect" is refreshing. This was such GOOD advice! I also love to see her REAL Life situations. Such as the fly in the bathroom or the phone falling from the dash. Others would edit that out. I love the genuiness of it all.

Hey girl, loved the vlog! Just a little advice on the roast…cook it in the oven on 325 for 4 hours and baste it at the 2hr mark. Slow cooking in the oven will cook it to perfection and also allow time for the fat to render down and flavor the meat even more. My favorite roast cut is the chuck which it looks like that’s what you had. If you decide to try it in the oven, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! 😋

Hey Jess. The whole splitting holidays things, we actually never discussed but what worked for Thanksgiving (the main one) was his immediate family always did the day after where mines came together on that day so it worked.

I cannot believe how I was able to wash and wipe and put away the dishes while watching this vlog! My husband and I have been together for 7 years, married for one. We typically did Thanksgiving with his family and Christmas with mine. Kind of because my family is more...churchy, lol. They're/we're all Christians. This year is our first year switching it up; Thanksgiving, we went to my home, and Christmas will be with his. Now that we have a child (1.5yo), we are thinking of establishing our own traditions. It's going to be interesting for me cause I'm all here for the reason for the season. But other than that, I can care less, lol. Having to do decor, presents and make it special I'm kinda meh about. 😂

I love Christmas so I asked that we always celebrate Christmas at home. We also have a 4-year-old and I wanted her to be home for Christmas to enjoy these 50 11 trees her grandmother puts up. Anyone from either side of our family is free to come and celebrate with us for Christmas. Thanksgiving is our move around holiday. Could be with his family or mine, home or away, but ideally, we would alternate years with his family and mine for Thanksgiving. I know other couples who split holidays, Thanksgiving with his family, Christmas with her family.

Hey Jess, my husband and I have been together 15 years and at the beginning we would try to split the days, that was a lot. So Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve is with my side. Christmas Day is with his side. Also sometimes my parents and siblings will even stop by my in-laws house too☺️

My husband and I have been married for 14 years and we used to go to his and my family's Thanksgiving but now since i host for my family, he takes our son and drops by his family's dinner then comes home and eats with my fam. As for Christmas, we usually just drop by his moms house later in the day before we eat. Thanks for sharing!💕

I don't leave my doggies outside long enough to bother any house around me. My next door neighbor has dogs and he don't leave his out either. If all of them is outside at the same time it is a lot of noise but it doesn't last long.
I've always been interested in how Christmas is in predominantly warm climates I am from Oregon so we have four seasons and I'm used to Christmas being really Christmasy lol I feel like my mind would be so confused for it to be 60° or above outside yet I'm looking at fake snow, Christmas trees and lights. something about it in my mind doesn't click right lol but it looks like you guys had a lot of fun

Sooo my dog is an excessive barker like your neighbor’s dogs 😭 I’m bringing her in the house as we speak lolll! Sometimes it’s really out of my control because she’s a dog, that’s a part of them. Most times, I bring her inside when she won’t stop and it’s usually because she sees someone she’s not used to. My neighbors on all sides hire people to do work for them outside and inside their houses so she’s on guard when she sees/hears/smells them. If it’s just my neighbor, it’ll be a bark or two then she’ll stop and go about her business. Same if she sees dogs on the sidewalk. My alternate solution (and some people don’t agree with this) I bought a bark collar for her. It has the options to beep, vibrate, or shock her. I have NEVER used and will never use the shock on her. I mostly use the beeping and it does the trick. It’s like a “aye, relax mama!” type of thing. The bark collar is for her to still enjoy being outside while not being too disruptive too. Trust me, it’s annoying to me and sometimes embarrassing. Your neighbor probably just doesn’t want to be bothered with the dogs and makes it everyone else’s problem. My family and I are always courteous because we know our dog is just a teeny weeny bit insane 🤣🤣 but we love her!
