Kanghoon (the student with glasses) said " my dad has shop too " to heesoo because it means he's a loner too and wants to be friend with bongseok and heesoo. Remember when he asked about heesoo and bongseok closeness, and heesoo replied " we are close. we are both loners and our house is a shop too. "
About bungeman's ability, the rational is since memories are electrical pulses in our brains, you can store memories in batteries and the dad stored his last memory in that battery in an attempt to warn his son from delivery guy.
Some fun info about the cast. The most famous actor in the entire cast is the bus driver. He has a reality show with the actor playing Bongseok's dad and in that reality show, Bongseok's mom came as a guest. They've all been friends for decades.
The very first korean movie I watched when I was in grade school is Crazy First Love he is the leading actor. But I thought ryu seung ryong is much famous since his got 4 consecutive movies that surpasses over 10 million viewers. Anyways I loved both their movies
As previously mentioned, Bungaeman is a real Korean fictional character, a superhero featured in children's shows, as seen in the episode. Frank, as previously noted, comes from the United States and we now know that he is a government assassin who has come to clean up the agents with superpowers known to them. Why Frank doesn't understand why parents protect their children will be explained later or at least it will be understood even without a verbal explanation. It is evident that he practices self-harm, which infers a problematic psyche, as if he is battling trauma. You said that the Americans are the bad guys in this context, but you are leaving out one fact: Min Yong-Jun, the head of the NIS (National Intelligence Service), doesn't seem to care much that ex-agents with superpowers are being killed, in fact it seems that they are doing him a favor, this suggests a not exactly good nature on the part of the NIS: in short, it's not that simple. Furthermore, we are explicitly told that both governments are already working on the next generation... Lee Gang-Hoon told Hui-soo that his father also has a shop: this ties back to one of the previous episodes when Gang-hoon noticed that Hui-soo and Bong-seok had become close friends; in that scene Hui-soo said that she and Bong-seok are very similar, that is, their parents have a shop and they have no friends. So when Gang-hoon said that his father also has a shop it was an indirect way of saying that he too is alone, has no friends and that he would like to become one of the two of them, but being very closed and introverted, he came up with a cryptic phrase that Hui-soo didn't understand. We will understand why Bang Ki-soo is so hostile towards Gang-hoon (beyond the previous beating) and the school in general. Yoon Sung-Wook, the colleague of Choi Il-Hwan, the main teacher of Bong-seok's class, is only a substitute teacher at the school, not the principal who is instead Jo Rae-Hyuk, the one with hair in his ears and who sniff.
Errata corrige: I unintentionally revealed a piece of information that is actually said in the next episode (the development of the next generation). I was convinced it was said in this. My mistake. No major spoilers thankfully.
Bong Seok and his mom have super senses not just hearing. The first time we see Beong Seok in ep 1, he's able to tell from the smell exactly what his mother is cooking without even having to get out of bed. I don't want to chance spoling anything but none of the kids are showing any expanded powers beyond what they inherit from their parents.
Bongseok's mom is one of the most Popular actress in korea. Han Hyo joo led so many hit dramas until now. I was surprised she was going to play a mom in this drama. She is nailing this too
My love for her developed around ep4 and sustained me throughout my whole binging. (And binging just made it worse, as you can imagine :) ) By the time the season ended *I* was taking our children to school :)

Gahhh. The tension building. Haha. I remember the ending scene, and i was like holy shit...the suspense is killing me. Also, you guys hit the nail on the head. I believe Gyedo and his dad can see the memories of people who have touched those batteries. Cant wait for your reaction to the next ep. :)
Gyedo's dad specifically picked up that battery to record his death. At one point he drops it during the fight with Frank and picks it back up. At first I thought he was using it as a weapon but I think he was recording for Gyedo in case he didn't survive. Likewise Gyedo's mother's death was recorded when she went into his apartment. That's how he knew she was injured before he even opened the door, which is something that confused me at first.
@@tiawilliams5690 omg. Sameee. Haha. I thought he was either giving himself a mini power boost/ he was thinking of prolonging the fight. But thought against using it and unlocking his full power because he knows he couldn't beat Frank no matter what he did.
@@tiawilliams5690 also, its so wonderful that gyedo and his dad are original characters and not from the webtoon, if i recall. But since the scriptwriter is the webtoon artist, he added them into the drama. I remember an interview where the actor who plays gyedo talked about how his role came to be.
@ohnoez3 I don't know if he thought he couldn't beat Frank. He was at least more formidable than the strong man Frank fought earlier and at one point, it looked like he'd killed Frank but Frank healed. I think the battery was a just in case scenario.

You'll find out why Frank is so puzzled about the parents wanting to protect their children during his backstory. I believe that shows up in episode 7. The kids have inherited the powers they have from their parents. Huisoo (pronounced Hee Soo) can not only heal quickly, she has super strength. Ganghoon also has super strength along with another ability you'll see soon. Ganghoon telling his father 'I'm sorry' is a throwback to something else that you'll see in one of the upcoming episodes. Bongseok's name is kinda like Beom's name from Blood Hounds. The 'eo' sound in Korean is almost like a hard O in English. So his name is pronounced Bong Sock. (I'm no expert in Korean language by any way, so that's the best I can explain it.) I look forward to all your reactions, and I'm so glad you chose this one. I think this is one of the best dramas of the year.
We'll be working harder on our pronunciations. It's the least we can do as we enjoy this wonderful content. Thank you for the heads up. And thank you for subscribing.
That's not entirely accurate: at present (but also until the end of the series) Hui-soo has only inherited regeneration. She never manifested her father's superstrength. That this is present in her DNA and she has not yet awakened is another thing, but to be precise, at the moment, this is not present.
@fabiosegretario7509 in episode 4 when Huisoo starts to tell Bongseok about her secret she says 'seventeen against one, and I won. I'm crazy strong.' Is that not an indication that she knows she has above average strength in addition to her ability to heal? Go watch the episode again.
