  • The Future of Smartphone Filmmaking Pro?
In This video I share with you the current status and our goals for the future! We are not ramping down, we're just getting started! BUT we will shift the focus of the business and of the content a little bit.
We will still cover how to shoot high quality videos using a smartphone BUT we will also talk about the business side of things! We want to be the platform for creators that struggle with making enough money.

I’ll be quitting my current job this summer to focus on photography and content creation on RUclips to tie into my Instagram.
Currently my smartphone is my main video source, but I’m wanting to upgrade this year to something more professional.

With all due respect - I’m not sure you know where you are going at the moment. You might want to wait a few days and re-watch this video and create an elevator sales pitch for your viewers and clients. If you were in an elevator with someone and you’ve got them for the time it takes to go up three floors - what would you say to seal the deal? How about 5 floors or ten? Are you going to do more or less? Will your focus be on your RUclips channel or something else? Remember, this is all about solving the clients problems. But first you’ve got to have a sharply focused idea about which problem you’re going to solve.
I wish you luck with whatever you do.

Thanks for the comment and your inputs! I appreciate that! Indeed we do have that dialed in very precise, this video was just more a behind the business look, sharing a few personal words and thoughts with you.
We want to be the ultimate channel/platform for creators that not only want to shoot great looking content but also make a great living off of it. And that's what we're working towards with this RUclips channel, with the courses, the community, everything :) Curious to hear your thoughts on that

@@smartphonefilmmakingpro Here are a few thoughts. First, Know your audience. The answer to that question will drive all of your other decisions. Who are they and specifically - what are they looking for? The science of demographics and psychographics are your friends here. In your case, it sounds like you see several different audiences. Either that or you are bored with the content you are delivering and are looking to move on to greener pastures for personal reasons (there is plenty of that going around RUclips) only you know the answer to that question. If you are looking to diversify your content, I would caution you that doing so may not satisfy any of your customers. It will only make a weaker brew. If the audience is looking for smartphone tricks, my guess is they will not sit through a video on marketing basics. So how many viewers are looking for an income stream? How many just want to make better videos? How many just want to be entertained? That’s three very different market segments. Remember, in the end your customers are trying to solve a problem. If we were in the world of home improvement, a “customer” has a unique problem to solve. For example - they may need to make a 1/4” hole in the wall. So - they are looking for a solution to that specific problem. A drill bit is one way to solve that problem but not the only way. Again - we need to be solving customer’s problems not scratching our itch. There is nothing wrong with diversifying - just don’t make it confusing or difficult for your followers.
I’m sure you have thought about all this at length, but I hope this has some value for you. Good luck with whatever you do, and don’t lose sight of your passion and remember to think of the customers first.
