Some people are having issues with prefixes and suffixes not showing in EssentialsChat when using LuckPerms. Here is how to fix that. You will do this in the ESSENTIALS config.yml file. Step 1) On line 40, change 'change-displayname: false' to 'change-displayname: true' Step 2) Uncomment 'add-prefix-suffix: false' on line 50. That'll fix this issue.
IT doesnt WORK for me with color codes and prefixes and suffixes. When i look into listgroups, it shows that no One is in The group but į write The right command. When i go to config file, i change ops-name-color and that works but nothing else. Please Help me.

He details most things (especially the important ones) carefully, and precisely, and you have all the information you need. I was looking for a plugin for permissions, and found LuckPerms but it looked daunting so I looked up a tutorial on RUclips and stumbled across this video. I completed the configuration within about 10 minutes (skipping ahead in the video a lil bit here and there). It may not be the cleanest video, or the most professional, but it certainly helps the most. I thank you sincerely for creating this video and spending the time and effort on this.

Literally a RD120 custom config rack server for this purpose :D. Your vids offer a completeness that some overlook.. details often left out. Just a quick PSA if your suffix or prefix is repeating then go into your essentials config.yml file and go down to the chat area where the outline for what a chat message look like and make sure that your format doesn't have the prefix and suffix in it, if it does delete them from the format

Just a quick note that wasn't mentioned and I figured it out on my own. If you want your admin prefix to be a different color than your name you can do "&b[ADMIN] &d" for example, which would give you a light blue [ADMIN] prefix while also changing your name pink!!!

just to point this out and to save you the trouble if you want admin directly from luckperms. in the config file, op setting line 537 and down, set enable-ops: false, auto-op:false, and commands-allow-op: false. hope this saves you time.

had trouble with the prefix and suffic bug, all you need to do is install Vault (plugin) and then it should be fixed! Great vid!

I suggest you to use the plugin named *name tag edit in short nte*

yeah essentialsX works with luckperms but it doesn't really handle perms itself

Having issues. I dont have OP when i join my server again, and when i restart my server sometimes even after force saving, it resets balance to zero
