I had the idea for this operator back when impact grenades were added. R6 is all about destruction, I always thought it’d be cool to have a gadget that was the exact opposite of an impact grenade for creating and sealing holes like Batman’s foam grenades.
I’m pretty sure there was leaks about this op years ago so she’s probably been in development for a while even if it was just a bit fully realized idea
@@andymschott There were no leaks but a lot of people had already thought about this idea way before but not the way it has been deployed right now as Azami. People even thought about Oryx long time back. I mean some of the ideas that people thought of are obvious and kind of came out of not just their own creativity but also necessity.
yeah i rmb reddit and yt sections with the occasional operator idea for some kinda construction gadget like a foam gun/grenade.
The most interesting one was a 'reverse' maverick also on the attacker side. A spray can with foam that can create harden walls or blockades.
Same. I’ve been thinking a welding op needed to be added for reinforcement holes. This isn’t much different. Love her concept.
My idea was more in the lines of the glue gun from prey, simple, effective, ammo based, and melee destructible. This is the next best thing imo

Any time I’m met with her gadget as an attacker, my first thought is “what now?” as opposed to a lot of past operators who just made me think “why would they add this.
I was trying to enter objective as Monty and the Azami just kept throwing the kiba at the door, stopping me from pushing. It was truly hilarious
Other than Mira, I don't really find anchors fun to play and I rely on roamers more often. But Azami definitely makes anchoring feel so much more fun and dynamic, can't wait to play her. Want to see how Macie operates the new Goyo as well.
She's good for roaming too. An all-around solid op

Been waiting for this since new season came out. Do you think Azami is an average operator or will it take time for her to be learned and become an S tier operator like Mira and Thatcher
I think she's S tier for sure, she brings such a wide variety of play styles.
- Creates new anchor positions by building cover (0:20)
- Provides info when destroyed (3:00)
- Sets up plays by blocking LOS (3:40)
- Wastes a ton of time for attackers (10:55)
@@MacieJay I didn't even think about it like that. You are too big brain for me 🤣. You see I do hit diamond and champ on PC..but I play Jaeger, Ash, Twitch and Vigil. I'm sure you understand
@@MacieJay I want to see what you do with Azami during plant/diffuse phase, imagine just blocking off everything and killing the unguarded planter, or just diffusing behind an Azami wall
@@greyfox4838 Azami could create a breaching charge meta, where attackers bring more than normally needed to place as traps in the cases you described.
definitely not a average operator, she takes a while to learn how to use all her different play styles, S Tier most definitely

Duo op idea: put azami barricade in a simple doorway and have a teammate place a c4 below so when an attacker hits the barricade once you can detonate the c4

on Kafe you can block White off completely with 2 Kunai if you use it on the stairs landing rail they cant get over without breaking it but you can vault over in 2 spots on the rail

I’m not sure if you’ve been made aware but, kiba barriers create *vaultable* surfaces.
For example, on Villa, in aviator (when you were trying to vault onto the couch) you SHOULD be able to throw a kiba barrier at the top cushions of the couch and make it vaultable. Not suggesting you should have played any differently, just letting you know.

Just a question though ....what sound settings do you use? Even on a video your sounds are so clean and easy to identify where enemies are coming from....mine even with a 7.1 headset is dumb sometimes 🥲
it might just be siege, they said they're looking into audio issues
Same for me, Macie's audio always sounds amazing but when I play I have trouble telling where enemies are, and sometimes enemies can walk or sprint right up to me without making any noise.
Its just seige unless your problems started before this season because the sound for me and lots of others is messed up ever since this season dropped
Unfortunately its not a season "problem" its just that Macie's audio is so clear and good ....mine sounds like its inside a glass ....not bad but not as good as Macie's
