Its not unconventional , its how the game should be played, but people play rainbow 6 without strategy, they only shoot. This is why i like Macie Jays videos so much.

aint watched your vids in a min ngl, but the few i have watched have always taught me something, more then jus a new callout or spawn peek lol. its refreshing to see older style gameplay on yt nowadays, rather then a montage. you even show your losses which shows a lot about your character, some other creators cant say the same. you an a few others like iceycat, matimio, an narcoleptic nugget influenced me to give siege a try back in the day when i watched yalls videos, even though siege may not be what it was, its still a game you can play an learn something new everyday so in my eyes its a top tier shooter.

one time i emp'd a room before we entered to plant. there was 2 seconds left on the timer when the bomb went down. as the diffuser is nearly set, my emp wears off. an ela mine that had been sitting next to my friend came back to life, and it stopped our plant. I got cooked in the party chat after, but it was awesome getting owned by a lone ela mine that survived a thatcher emp.

Ela is so good, I recently started using her again and the mines + shield combo is really strong. If you do it right you can get 1-3 free kills.

I've known about that Ela mechanic for a very long time, but with Ela normally being out and about, mines normally being preplaced, and the positioning required to pull such a thing off being rather specific, I haven't had a chance to use it. Sites with direct attacks into them are probably the best, since you needn't preplace everything and don't have as much reason to be out of site.

My friends and I used to do this all the time for fun, not even just to deny plant, we’d throw them at people and yell “ela grenade!” It’s fun lol

My favorite trick with Ela, I always keep at least one in pocket for that

One time, while enemy Zofia was planting at the last seconds Sledge came in to the same room and activated my Ela mine, denied the plant and we won😂
I think not only ela's stun, lesion's gu( before they plant) can deny plant, impact can also have the same effect on planter. C4 too technically, but most of the time they just kill the planter.
If I played on your team, I would always react to your epic rounds🤝🏼

Gotta love siege's sound. On 2:12 He's hearing a guy reinforce through several walls and then a 3speed through a wall, then on 3:48, he can barely hear an explosion that happened right next to him. lol
This also works against defense trying to destroy the defuser with Zofias stuns.
