excellent job & and honest opinion on this yarn. I really love their tweed yarns they are really nice to work with. And the cost helped me make gifts for my family this year and gifts were loved & appreciated. TY
i made a few scarves from, this yarn for christmas and they were a huge hit! its pretty hit or miss to get in my area but its really nice when you can get it imo. my dollar tree had light blue, pink, dark grey and black!
I picked up some green and white at dollar tree. I want to make a scarf for my 12 year old son. We’ve had a hard time during the pandemic and he’s now living with my oldest son and his wife. I miss him so much and I wanted to hand make something for him. He loves soft things. My grandma taught me how to crochet when I was younger. Have you done any scarfs? I will check on your other videos. Thank you for sharing your lovely talents…they’re beautiful! 🤩
Hi Friend glad to have you. I don’t have any scarfs on my channel but may I suggest someone like Bag o day crochet she has probably one hundred and is a good teacher 🥰
I'm currently using this yarn to make a crop top based on a tutorial here on RUclips that uses velvet yarn. I was using a 4mm yarn and I was able to see all the top stitches by feeling for them although stitch markers were extremely helpful in the project. Thank you so much for the tips on the fraying, I was wondering what to do with that part.
For scrunchies fit as many sc as you can on a hair toe then 2 to 3 treble crochet in each single crochet around. Slip stitch to join and weave in. Super ruffly scrunchies!!
BE CAREFUL WASHING IT! Chenille yarns stretch after a wash and the entire project ends up LOOPY all over. Handwash it gentle and lay flat to dry. DO NOT PUT IN THE DRYER. Also, use some shorter/tighter stitches, avoid using long tall loose stitches.
I used 4 skeins of the Dollar Tree chenille yarn with a 5.5 mm or 4.5 mm hook (at the time those were the only 2 hooks I used but I'm not sure which i used for that) and made a small blanket to go in the cats bed. I used the alpine stitch because i saw it recommended for chenille yarn. I wash and dry it in the machines and it still looks great. I think that stitch is why. I figured after cats sleeping on it and machine washing and drying, it would be a rag by now. It's still going strong though 🙃 I am NOT saying anyone should wash and dry their projects in the machines. Just telling my experience with that yarn. Have a nice day everyone 😊
Love your projects💕I found it too! I’m making granny square lovie over the dollar tree stuffies for the Christmas Child box at church💕I had to go to several stores to find the different colors💕
I love this yarn! Thanks for your review. I made a sunflower bear out of the yellow and a panda with the black and white. I use an H hook 5.5 mm. But the fuzzies! I had to keep a lint roller close by.
Dear Claire, Thanks for your very enjoyable video. That's a beautiful baby blanket. I always wanted to try corner-to-corner, with your inspiration I might try it. The scrunchy will look cute on you. I love your yellow baby chick! I will go to a Dollar Tree and check out their yarn... I usually buy my yarns at Jo-Anne and Michael's. I love Hobby Lobby's yarns, but they are quite a distance from me... Again, thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent with us.
That is awesome, I hope you follow my videos so we can stay in touch! I have made an ugly blanket for my rabbits. Actually I have a plan to crochet them something new so be on the look out for that
Nice haul ! I’ve used their chenille yarn to make a blanket as a gift and the person loves it says it’s the best material because it won’t make you hot during summer time .
I don't think is the Premier Parfait, I think that Dollar Tree's Just Yarn Chenille is the generic brand of Parfait, a similar Parfait but produced with less expensive materials and less expensive production methods. Of course, that doesn't guarantee it is going to be a bad product. Remember all the so-called good brands of today needed some trial period by the consumers to earned that title. Yesterday I bought 3 skeins of Chenille at Dollar Tree because I wanted to give it a try after I felt the texture and saw it was chenille. At that price, trying the Chenille yarn is not going to be a huge loss in case after the trial you conclude the quality worth less than $1.25 per skein.
I found this yarn sometime ago at my DT. The only thing I’ve made with it is a scrunchie. I found in using the scrunchie that the fibers from the yarn get all over my hair. I wanted to make this as gifts but I don’t want this to happen to my friends. Have you experienced this problem?
I have not found that, but I did make sure to leave long tails to weave in so it wouldnt fray at the ends. I have washed mine as well and it did alright.
I work at $Tree, And I discovered Yellow today, I have not seen the purple yet. I have crocheted with the chunky yarn we carry, and made a scarf, and also used the acrylic yarn and made a dog sweater. I had enough to make a whole dog sweater and still had some left over. I sold it for $22,50 so it was a win win for me. We had the Bernat Blanket yarn once, as well as Caron Simply soft. The yarn rocks
I love using this brand from the dollar tree just to mess around and try patterns that I want to see in a physical form before committing to it with my more expensive yarn. Or I love just using the normal yarn they have because it’s in so many colors and it feels so soft and in my opinion I’ve had basically no issues with it aside from maybe just how small each ball is. I’ll definitely keep using it anyway since the price doesn’t break the bank and because it just gives me more options to use then if I had to constantly buy larger balls of yarn (omg i buy so much)
@Cinnamon Stitches I am so excited you are commenting on my video - I am so glad you will have a comparison so we can all the real difference close up - Love your content!
only 18 lol they had premier color wheel cakes for 1.25 today there, in a color that was sold out on the website, a spring color, Lunacy. I bought them all
I had to learn how to feel for stitches Because some colors blend into the stitches so you can’t see him much pretty good Yandel I love you so much soft
Is there a certain blanket pattern you followed? trying to make a baby blanket with a basic stitch and got to my second row and I couldn’t even find the spaces to start the next row
How many rows did you end up making (size as I can’t seem to see or tell how big it is) kinda do wish you made a tutorial using this yarn from the dollar store

Nice work! But what is the difference in chenille and dream chenille of the just yarn in dollar tree stores?
Hmmm I’m not sure - the just chenille is at dollar tree and you can also buy a big cone now from premier directly and save a few dollars

At my local Dollar Tree they also had some grey. I've also been seeing people on Facebook Market selling the yarn for a steep mark up.
GREY? I wish I saw that one I have a project in mind :)
No problem thanks!

Hi Shelley, I just used some of the blush from my makeup collection. This is from the Sailor Moon collection from colorpop so it is nice and bright!
I have a side by side comparison coming up.
@Cinnamon Stitches I am so excited you are commenting on my video - I am so glad you will have a comparison so we can all the real difference close up - Love your content!
I crocheted a hexagon tree skirt with regular yarn and used this for the edge
That would be a great use I was thinking of using my extra white for a Santa hat! Thanks Jennifer for watching all my yarn content :)
I just got the blue and the mint on the hunt for yellow and purple they also sell hooks and just recently found Pom Pom makers similar to clover ones
That blanket is so cute!
Thank you Allyn!

I crocheted Easter Peeps for my kids for Easter. I used similar yarn. Slippery and a bit hard to work with.
Yes I struggled too
Is there a certain blanket pattern you followed? trying to make a baby blanket with a basic stitch and got to my second row and I couldn’t even find the spaces to start the next row
Hi Chyanne, Yes I followed the pattern listed in the description. It can be hard to learn where to make the stitches - keep at it!
I live in the UK and I'm super jealous. Chenille yarn here is always so expensive. I've tried buying online but it's still so pricey.
Oh I hope you find a solution soon! It pretty popular in the states
@@WoodshedTheory still haven't found anything chenille yarn here is like £5 for just 50g

No problem my pleasure have you tried this yarn?
Thanks so much for the advice
You are so welcome!
what size hook did you use, please?
I believe it was 4 or 4.5 for the chick and maybe 5.5 for the others
PLS HELP!!! I WANT TO MAKE A PLUSH OUT OF THIS YARN AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HOOK I CAN USE!!! PLS HELP!! ALSO love the vid!!
I think I used a five or so for my chick in the video - I should say it in the video
How much balls did u use for a blanket
Hi there it was so long ago I am having an issue remember - i think i bought 12 balls so maybe 8?

Thanks they have more colors now
I need the white . I have checked Edgewater ,Daytona beach Florida. Does anyone know where I can find white
Good luck!
I’m in Miami it’s a bit far from you but we practically only have white and army green
You can order online and have it ship to your dollar tree
I found this in grey :)
oh nice!
How many yarn balls did you use ?

I have made several projects and I like it. Yes it is 50g but only $1.00.
