This is gorgeous. I never thought of the minilogue as such an ambient synth, but it is doing great duties on this piece. A soundscape to really get lost in.

I love my XD; the ambient sounds I'm able to create with some custom reverbs are awesome. However; the sound of the original Minilogue are more organic and less metallic. You did great on this one. I sometimes listen to this on loop to go to sleep. Simply amazing!!!

Question though: How much of this song is driven through one machine? it seems like sometimes you use keys off screen? with synths i can never tell how much is going through one machine or if you're playing melodies over pre-recorded ambience? HALP
Hey, thank you! Have a look in the video description. I listed what I used to make this song. It's a fairly minimal setup. With a good reverb like Valhalla Shimmer you can create similar stuff with two instruments. Example here: ruclips.net/video/tjwHwVBWWmk/видео.html

On a scale of 1-10 how much would you recommend the Minilogue? very good video btw keep up the work and don't stop doing what you love
In it's price range it is almost certainly the best poly synth. Especially the XD version. It has an extremely wide sound palette, capable of both analog and digital sounds, has an arpeggiator and a sequencer, and there are some really good onboad FX. Build quality is also nice, the keys are pretty good. I would say that the Minilogue XD is the way to go, if this is your first poly. But don't take my word, I am just a random internet guy, lol. Listen to some demos, I recommend (ruclips.net/video/NbLYlAOq4AA/видео.html), it gives a good idea of what the synth is capable of.
Thank you! Well without FX the Minilogue gets a 7/10 from me. It needs a little boost to get the sound I want.
I think the new Minilogue XD would get a strong 9/10 thanks to the extra features and effects.

Wow another great one! Are you using analog synthesizers? or are they plugins like omnisphere? Cause i need some recommendations for analog synthesizer(s). I'm trying to make film scores and I have $4k to spend.
I use both digital plugins and hardware like the KORG Minilogue in this video. Omnisphere is great and I also recommend two software synths called The Legend and Obsession by Synapse Audio. It's been a couple of years since I bought any new synths. There are so many new ones to check out. For film scoring you should look into
ASM Hydrasynth, Behringer Model D, Korg Wavestate, Arturia Microfreak and Sequential OB-6.

if you have $4K, try looking into things like the Polybrute, MatrixBrute, Moog One, etc... At that price range you can get something quite powerful.

Thanks! Get a nice sounding reverb like Valhalla Shimmer valhalladsp.com/shop/reverb/valhalla-shimmer/ and put it on pretty much any instrument or synth and you'll get something nice sounding. A free vst synth that has tons of interesting sounds is Dexed asb2m10.github.io/dexed/

That's okey, you can ask me anything! No synth company has ever emailed me. I've bought everything I own with my own money. It's kinda weird but their marketing are kinda boring and uncreative so I'm not surprised. Plus they want a human face to sell their products not two anonymous hands haha
