Thanks for the unboxing! I used to play 'Flames of War' (8mm) before they went all GW with their prices, so thanks for showing us some cool new things!
I play Micromachine Gaslands with a co-worker on lunch breaks at work. Great scale for small spaces. Transformers packs are neat. Dollar tree has micro big rigs, dump truck, tanker truck pack for scratch building and terrain.
@@planetsmashergames the main mod is if a turn or veer/swerve is hazardous in your current gear you line up the short straight template horizontally with the outer edge of the current template and place your base at the far edge of it. (if that makes sense?) To represent the boat trying to turn to sharp and drifting out. Was tempted to just make it an auto slide but decided to keep that as its own thing. And RC's are now torpedos that will always take the shortest path towards the target. Hasn't happened yet but I'm hopeful for the day someone manages to drop a torp thats chasing them onto someone else's boat.
love micro Gaslands, i have my own setup of this already. i used Kinder Egg Cars instead of micro machines. works great at the scale too. but these look awesome.
I have two sets of Gaslands : one i call "Classic", one i call "Mini", with micromachine size cars and templates. It’s fun, and the compact aspect make it nice to play on different surfaces, table, desk, etc. The only thing is, it’s difficulty these days to find material, cars etc at this scale (one simple truck can cost more than 50€ it’s crazy), and another is the details are of course harder to work with. So, i like to play Classic to modify vehicles and all, and i like to play Micro because it’s cute and compact.
Nice! I don't have a 3D printer, so I also have to search eBay for tiny trucks. I imagine if one had a printer, you could scale things down. The first playtests of Gaslands, back in 2015 were with the trucks and technicals from Dropzone Commander's Resistance faction actually.
Thanks for the vid I totally missed this micro scale gaslands. It seems that with 3D printing the game has gone full circle back to its roots of car wars and battle cars. Looking forward to you putting together a game👌
I absolutely would buy the STL’s but my wife will go insane if I down shift to 10mm with all my Gaslands stuff I recognize some of the kitbash files like the rocket truck
Thank you algorithm for waving this under my nose!
Thanks Mike! You picking this up and having a chat was a massive highlight of UKGE for sure. Glad you like and thanks for an awesome game!
The hobby wouldn’t be what it is without an awesome community of creators and hobbyists all digging great games and great models!
That set is AMAZING. It's going to be really hard to resist buying one!
*tempting whispers*
Aw good ol’ Rok, he’s an awesome guy and his store is full of miniature goodness.
Cheers dude. Super kind of you to say!
@@richardokeeffe8375 best warmaster miniatures around
Looks satisfying to pull the model apart from the supports
love rok minies recently got a few armies from them lovely guy running it.
@@connorg9881 thanks! Really appreciate that
Great unboxing. Hopefully ROK heeds your request for more gates in the set.

That is an outstanding set! Micro Gaslands is a hoot to play! Thanks Mike!
I recently ordered the "same" set. The vehicles are now different but arguably nicer and more varied. Point being still reccomend this set 100%.
I got received a set of these myself, and WOW. I'm going to do a video for them, as they are really sweet.

Great review. Looks like there was a laser cut sheet with markers and templates at the bottom of the box.
Superb I have herd but never seen untill now ..very class ... Reminds me of old g.w game .post apoc car thing madmax stylish lol
Not gonna lie, first 2 cars I was thinking "why are they all on ramps?" only figured it out moments before Mike starting pealing off the supports.
Love playing in micro scale, got a full set up for Gaswater with micro machine boats and some other kitbashed things.
Oh sweet! Do you play with a particular mod or any house rules for the boats?

That’s very cute! Nice one

Hi! I have scaled the templates 70% down. Now they have 22,4mm in width, but they still seem a bit large when you put it in front of the minis.
I absolutely would buy the STL’s but my wife will go insane if I down shift to 10mm with all my Gaslands stuff

If you let them the models sit in warm water, the support would come off much easier.
Awesome stuff
Lovin the set! If anyone would like to go tinier, I use MicroWorld Games 6mm MicroWasteland line!
Oooh, that would be very cool!
I will admit I have played Gaslands with Epic Ork tanks and buggies…
Someone may have said this already. But hot water run over the supports helps them pop off.
Oh, thanks! I was not aware of that trick. Cheers!
Not a fan of receiving a box full of resin minis in their sprues, however it is very cool!
Yeah, I'd prefer them clipped off to. I suppose they are more protected for shipping that way?
This reminds me, I need to work my tiny templates to use the Formula D cards for Gaslands....
My word, that WOULD be small!
Could you estimate the cost of the containers per gram, minus the supports, please?
this is awesome :)
I wonder if ROK has plans to eventually sell the .stl files.
Rok don't design them, they are just a merchant. The files are all available, just check the ROK website, then google the makers they list.
He sells resin minis without removing the supports before shipping?
Cool
More like Planet Smasher HCute :D
Man, this shit is cool!!
So cool are these stls available anywhere
According to ROK's website: terrain is printed under licence from Lazy Forger, and the vehicles are produced under licence from Star Corps Industries.
@@planetsmashergames Ohhh fantastic cheers man!
I need to update that actually. All the vehicles are now Bishok’s ‘Raiders of Cendre’ vehicles
no mini templates?
There were mini templates in the set, yes.
I wish they sold the STLs, the shipping to South Africa makes it not worth it.
You are in luck! ROK are just a reseller. You can get the STLs from Lazy Forger and Bishok directly. :)
Micro machines.
