      So funny! I thought for sure we were headed straight into Missouri so I was thoroughly confused by the Illinois sign! 😂🤪

    What a loverly surprise to find a new video during the week. …I didn’t even bother to look for the eclipse up here in Bozeman. I think we were too far north for it to be a big deal. …The only time we have been disturbed while out and about was over on the Olympic Peninsula. We were tent camping in a campground. A couple decided to have an argument in the middle of the night. The guy seemed perplexed as to what he did wrong. But she really laid into him. I was concerned to even call out to be quiet because she didn’t seem quite right. I’m a pretty tough guy, but I’m not stupid. That would have been a lose, lose situation. …I am glad you keep an eye on the satellite weather. We had another small snow two nights ago. Maybe 2-3” of snow. Newer residents were probably feeling pretty upset about the snow. Which makes me giggle. Back in the day, we would almost always get several big dumps in April. 12+” easily with each dump. Nowadays, it’s hardly worth noticing. Carey On!

      Yeah sometimes you just have to decide to not confront someone. It can save a hassle all around! I love how you giggle about the snow and the newcomers. And it sounds like they got off easy this year! 😂

      @@CareyOnVagabond I tell newbies how our winters used to be and they think I'm joking. My folks used to live out in the Springhill area up against the Bridger Mtns. They had old time rancher neighbors who pulled out photo albums showing their road after being plowed with 8' of snow towering on either side of the road. Food and mail had to be air dropped because the snow was so high. Ya, it was a winter of weak tea this year! Safe travels my friends! Carey On!!!

    We stayed at a Cracker Barrel one night, parked along the side, in the back, and around 4am I heard this pounding noise, like going through a car wash....sprinklers!!!! Another night, it was a fellow with a leaf blower.

    • @CareyOnVagabond
      @CareyOnVagabond  6 месяцев назад +1

      We had sprinklers wake us up hitting the camper in a city park campground once. It’s a bit confusing when it starts:)

    We had a similar wake up in Reno with friend (from Newport) Lyle (and before Diane, Roz)... culprit was a semi tractor warming up for over and hour at ~4 AM in an alleyway where we parked the old VW campervan for the night - note to self: nothing is ever free...

    We were woken up by a street sweeper cleaning a parking lot at a Harvest Host. This HH was a bar in a strip mall and we were told to park in the back, which was fine until the 2 AM street cleaner.

    Unfortunately, you need a filter on your camera lens to accurately capture an eclipse.

    Hello good people! Nice video. My worst awakening was in Poland. First we had to take shelter due to a storm warning from the authorities. Found a car park on the outskirts of a town, which turned out to be a party spot for the locals. it turned out that thePolish youth party regardless of the weather, . We moved to another location.

    So, in September of 2022 we camped at Tabletop Campground near Hoback, WY south of Jackson. We were awakened around 10 or 10:30 by a gunshot! It sounded so close to me (not to my husband). About 15 minutes later we heard another gunshot! We looked out of all of our windows and our campground was quiet with no sign of anyone stirring. We did see 2 vehicles go through the campground at one point. It was a creepy 30 minutes or so (for me!). We figured someone was hunting. There was a RUclipsr (309,000 followers) 2 or 3 campsite down from us and she did a video about this incident and it was WAY more dramatic than what happened. I guess I could understand if she freaked out since she was alone. I recognized her rig earlier in the day when we went for a walk because I had just watched a video about what kind of rig she bought.

    Hi you two, and your little girl Pistol, so what's going on out there? Tired...oh no! I need some sleep. I laughed so hard over your video. Isn't that rude when people wake you up, but so funny how our brain when tired just cannt wrap between thexpolars around what is going on here. Ahhh! I wish you a peaceful night of sleep. Dam neighbors anyway. Lol! ❤ Carolyn and Colin from Osoyoos BC. Canada. Take care kids. Love you three.

      Yes, it’s funny how our brains try to guess what the noise is. I would have never thought of a headlamp wearing/power washing employee out there!

    Oh yeah, our worst was at Walmart - must have been after football game and high schoolers enjoyed revving engines, honking & squealing tires! All night! Someday, they'll be old and just have to grin, knowing it's payback time.
    Best rest area stop, off a main interstate (southbound i25) was El Moro, CO. And we've enjoyed many throughout our journey to & in Alaska.
