Yes fellows I agree, and Matt is steady as a rock seems like nothing throws him off. Ellen very beautiful sound just loved it. Katie always so very enjoyable and interesting to watch, such a soft and smooth voice,
The Petersen formula of perfection is back for 2022! Wonderful song choices, great interpretation, excellent musicianship, amazing harmonies, lovely scenery, pure videography and of course beautiful smiles!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love you guys and my wife and I will come to Branson to see you soon. Ellen...you have a wonderful voice, but there's something else I have noticed about you...your smile. When you are not singing, I love how you look at your family with such warmth. You truly bring a joy to us when we watch you. God really speaks through you and your family. My wife has terminal cancer and maybe a year or two left, so this song really hit home with us.
Praying for you and your wife! For more encouraging music check out Joey + Rory and their story! :) I agree the Petersons and this song are amazing! :)
I used to be a working musician and so I know a little about singing, harmonies and musicianship. I've never heard any better music choreography! Brilliant!
I love the Northern Parula warbler singing in the background at the end of the video.... Oh, and it goes without saying, Don Williams would have loved this....
When I was a kid I was told by my sisters if you could blow all the seeds from the dandelion in one blow you get to make a wish. Oh yeah awesome job with the song.
Five o clock in the morning! That little things ( your songs) are the way that God use to join our hearts Many thanks Petersen family. Ciao. Gianfranco Italy.
Don Williams was my mother's favorite singer when I was growing up. She passed away in 2020. You did a wonderful job on this song even if it did make me cry.
Beautifully done. A great take on that wonderful song. Old Don would be thrilled. Great job Ellen. Everybody on point as usual. Just love those family harmonies. Doesn't seem to matter which of you or how many of you are singing. Always seamless. It certainly is a better day when we get a Petersen's video. Thanks for sharing your gifts.
Your grandpa had great taste. This is a truly beautiful love song. Ellen's lead vocal is somewhere between perfect and ethereal. I just love the harmonies too, just a fantastic job by Katie and Matt. Combined with the wonderful instrumental work by Emmett Katie and Karen make this one of my Petersen favorites!
I have played all my life since I was fifteen yrs old I now 72 and still playing and I think you all are great your Harmony is great and musical talent is really very good and on the money good luck to you always and God Bless!!
Every time I listen this song l think how many passion you put in this work. But I suppose you do not consider that a work. Good night from Italy. Gianfranco. Ciao.
Beautiful. Simply beautiful. I love this family and their music. I'm pretty much on the tail end of life. Sometimes, just listening to them sing and play, I get a reprieve, and my memories come alive. I'm sure that sounds dumb to most people. Thank you for sharing your God given talents and know you are appreciated dearly. And that violin. Wow!!!
I respect people that commit to their craft and it's invigorating when they excel in it - rarer than it used to be but still around. The Peterson's however add something special to the mix that can only come from a place of love, and that makes them downright legendary. Have a cupcake day! : )
They wanted to film these new videos outdoors, but kept hitting bad weather! Then Julz went back to college, but they've been working up more songs for this year and writing originals, so lots to come!
Every detail from Emmett making the dobro chime, Karen maintaining perfect timing on bass, and Matt, Katie, and Julianne in perfect rhythm all topped off with great vocals and unbelievable sibling harmonies, and Ellen's strong and beautiful solo.........perfection! I listen to your music almost every day and will never grow tired of doing so.
If I ever again hear this song performed without the chime of the dobro at the beginning of verse 2, I will declare the performance incomplete. Whoever arranged this song to include that small but special harmonic made a good choice. Second and third plays had me listening for that inclusion.
@@Liz.Newton Hi Liz. I am sure many other inquiring minds here in the comment section join me in sending you much thanks for the helpful snippets of info you share with us. It actually enhances experiencing the music. Really and truly, thank you.
@@joycesmith8299 You are very welcome! For me, putting music out's half the story, the other half is removing every barrier so it's immersive. I added your 'chime' into the captions, it's a beautiful detail!
Vero, ho già paragonato Emmett a The Edge degli U2 accidenti non mi ricordo come si chiama, comunque entrambi con i loro strumenti chitarra elettrica e resofonica ti fanno sentire il Paradiso. Ciao dall'Italia.
I love all of your music, and I love the grandpa connection, because I have 18 grandchildren and you can't play favories. But shhhh! This is my favorite!!
The harmonies are magical! The instrumental skills are amazing & flawless! Emmett's dobro playing is icing on the cake! Y'all are amazing as always! :)
Guys I love Don Williams! Y'all knocked this out of the park! Beautiful! Ellen, your voice is so powerful and pure! Amazing!!!😍 You guys are happiness itself for me! Keep it up and God Bless!
Don Williams has always been one of my favorite country music artists. I am thrilled to hear a group as great as yourselves duplicate "The gentle Giants" music. Looking forward to seeing & hearing your music in person this summer 😊 keep up the gr8 work!
Don Williams was such an awesome song writer and singer, and The Petersens sing one of my favorites of his songs in such a beautiful and sweet way that it truly honors him. Ellen takes the lead with great harmonies from Matt and Katie. This family band is REMARKABLE as truly decent people who are great singers and musicians and who operate on PURE UNADULTURATED TALENT!
*LYRICS - Till the Rivers All Run Dry*
------------
Till the rivers all run dry
Till the sun falls from the sky
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you
I know sometimes you may wonder
From little things you say and do
But there's no need for you to wonder
If I need you, 'cause I need you
Till the rivers all run dry
Till the sun falls from the sky
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you
Too many times I don't tell you
Too many things get in the way
And even though sometimes I hurt you
Still you show me, in every way
Till the rivers all run dry
Till the sun falls from the sky
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you
Till life on earth is through
I'll be needing you

Im so grateful for young musicians that still make real music ❤
Their music gives me hope for humanity
yes it does.
joy permeates ther
One of the great advantages of being 70 years old is that I heard Don Williams sing this song live about 45 years ago.
Don and his band were the half time show at the Canadian Finals Rodeo that year in Edmonton, Alberta
The harmony between Katie, Ellen and Matt is truly special.😊❤
I second that sentiment, David
Yes fellows I agree, and Matt is steady as a rock seems like nothing throws him off. Ellen very beautiful sound just loved it. Katie always so very enjoyable and interesting to watch, such a soft and smooth voice,
Yes. Its great.
Although the poor microphone was barely able to cope 😄
Indeed!
Happy birthday to the wonderful and only Matt.
Don Williams was arguably one of the best of all time. Only fair that the greatest family of all time covers him.
He was a great cowboy singer for sure!
sad to lose Don, he was a sweet man

They are fine without singing
The recording engineer is a magician!
@@arch3088 Troy Dixon is amazing.
I wore out an old Don William's tape when I was a kid. GOD bless you all.
A river with an infinite source never runs dry.
When Emmitt plays that little break with harmonics is just a perfect touch.
All the birds singing with them makes it even more special, just blessed.
Julianne is such a beautiful sweet girl. You need to get her to do more covers like she did with dreams….🥰🥰

Ellen, this song highlights your voice well
Emmett with dobro seems like The Edge( U 2) with guitar. Heaven in music. I hope he's not offended. Ciao from Italy.
My husband loved this song, brings back sweet memories of one I loved deeply. Beautiful.
have loved Don WIlliams song since long time, thank you Petersens, From Madagascar
You nailed it Emmett! Mom, I'm glad you miced up your bass, because now it's coming through loud and clear.
I totally agree. Special Thanks to the audio engineer!!! Been waiting a long time to actually hear Momma on the bass.
