The thing about the 911’s rear seats is they’re too small for adults or children over 10 and legally you can’t put small children back there without a car seat and that won’t fit either. So the rear seat is really in practical use nothing more than a package tray. If you drive fast stuff flies all over the place so I like the front and back trunks in the Boxster/Cayman. Here’s the real kicker folks- the 987/981/ 718 are 2/3 911. That’s right they share most of their parts and are built on the same assembly line to the same level of quality with all the same materials. So they are a MUCH better value. They are also inherently easier and safer to drive fast as they have that mid engined center of gravity and lower polar moment of inertia. Truly they are better than the 911 in many ways

Spot on ! Simply the best Porsche ever built and I’ve had a few Don’t tell anyone but it was built on licence by Valmet company in Finland Love your channel Best wishes for the Hospital. ❤️
Stick to the 997.1 turbo and sell it in 20 years for the same price you paid. Look at the Caymans, here in NZ you can pick them up for $29k ( 14.5 Pounds) They lost a lot from new.
It was the Boxster that was inspired by earlier Porsche's, not the Cayman, the Cayman was simply derived from the Boxster. Also not sure why you would compare a 987.2 with a 997.1? Given the latter was around 5 years before the 987.2.
Never forget it was the Boxster that saved Porsche and without that marque Porsche would have been Kaput! Fed up with all the 911 bulls..t! And others are right about the Finnish 911🤣😂🤣 a Velmet vehicle!
You mean in terms of a Porsche badge for the poor :) I am actually looking for one to take to the supermarket, so I don't get scratches on my 911 Turbo.

@@gkinguk You are lucky mate. I drove my Turbo 2162kms over 3 years. a mere 720ks a year. No pleasure at 30-60km an hour, orange cones and perpetual road works.

You're right, Finland is awful.
Not sure there's a storage advantage when you consider backseat in 911.
Always enjoy your videos as a subscriber. 😊

What do you think about a base 981 cayman ? I really want a 997.1 turbo

Love the content, and the 5th reason why it’s better than a 911 is the looks, and the 6th reason is the look of the rear….😅
Is this one for sale ?
I have one for sale
