Morally dubious rich people seem to be a theme this campaign. i am also hoping that next episode they check in with lady Seshadri and see what is happening with lady Emoth (and possibly the raid on the shade mother??? will she be there who knows) and Lord E and suggest cold to deal with the blank papers they gave him a while back. as well. Maybe check in with the Corsairs because they have so many links to folks who became Shade children. the Gelatinous cube trap had me so worried, poor Travis almost had to roll a new character. I don't think any of the other players would have faired any better either. I am hoping that the Verdict keep returning as NPCS.
