Trevenant’s Unite Move - Phantom Forest
Trevenant best uses its unite move in a couple of straight forward ways.
When taking substantial damage, Trevenant’s unite move can be used as a panic button for instant survivability. Buddy Barrier shields, unite move shields, and a shield effect when this unite move hits an enemy allows Trevenant to rack up an insane amount of shields. While Trevenant has it’s Phantom Forest shields active, it also receives increased healing.
Since Trevenant lacks range itself, and commonly has to deal with the frontline. When Trevenant’s ally backliners are being dived, Phantom Forest can be used as a way for Trevenant to aid allies and provide Buddy Barrier to fend off divers. The knockup gives Trevenant time to get within range and unleash its deadly crowd control combo. This works as an engage as well, gaining the most of the shields and disabling many opposing pokemon while Trevenant gains movement speed for a short time. This allows Trevenant to greatly set up for its low range moves.
