Tommy Shaw, the King of introspection. I started hearing it on the radio, while I was a teenager. It's held a special place in my heart ever since. My absolute favorite of any "introspective song". The "flute like" sound was the keyboards. Tommy wrote this song before he joined Styx in December of 1975 with a band called *Harvest* ... The original has guitar and vocals, minus the keyboards and another verse. The missing verse I believe was taken out, and keyboards added to "fit" the band's sound more. But also to fit on the album, being that it was all done analog back in the day. If you want to hear the original, it should still be on RUclips... Have a blessed day...🎶🎸🌞
