There’s a company in Europe that fitted a BMW E92 M3 DCT transmission to a 2JZGTE engine in a Mk4 Supra.
A paddle shift would make life so much easier. Its unique and different than anything else. It won't become a chore for the Mrs to drive where as a twin plate manual might.
Use a brass wheel on the rusty brackets and bolts, saves so much time rather than sanding & it doesn’t damage anything

Couple company’s in the UK that are running a DCT 7speed in the mk4.
I was thinking of doing this originally but lack of good converter options and lack of an overdrive that can handle power steered me away. Have you looked into the suprastick controller? It may do what you need.
6R80 fits in the MKIV tunnel without modification. PHR trans cooler is extremely good.

There is, but the cost would be around 10-12k for it to work VS maybe 1k for this setup total.

My car had a similar setup gte vvti and mr2 spider steering wheel to tiptronic but it drove like crap would tend to hold in gear at 7k in boost and gear changes felt like minutes -my bpu may have played a part i ended going 6 speed thats my experience but i hope yours isnt as bad 🖒
