i wish they would have been themselves. i love their characters but it would have been nice to see what they were really like. you may as well have called them lucy ricky ethel and fred.
the westinghouse guy played the director in the veta-vita-vegamin commercial lucy did. he was joe..."don't you think it's hot in here joe"? it's my favorite episode.
The Desilu studios were eventually sold many times over. It is now called 'The Culver Studios' (which you can Google). The back lot was torn down around 1976 and the sound stages are all still there. They are leased out to production companies.
Lucy mention in the movie that it is not quite 1961 yet so it may be in 1959 or 1960 and she was getting ready to divorce Desi. It is also cool to see them out of character.
I'm pretty sure that if Lucille Ball wanted a few new appliances, she would be able to buy whatever she wanted without needing permission from Desi : ]
This is way too corny for my taste. At least on I Love Lucy, it seemed a little more natural (granted it was still slightly corny). This feels odd to watch because you know they weren't really like that...not even close. This is just one big commercial for both Desilu Studioes and Westinghouse.
Incredible how smart he was
It's so wonderful to see this in color!
This is great color wow! The best colorization job i have ever seen!!
thanks for uploading :D makes me wanna see the lucy and desi home movie.

Lucy looks so much older than Ethel here.

I know! I was thinking the same thing! they are acting as though it's "I Love Lucy"- I want to know what they're really like with each other!
At that point, it wasn't public knowledge that Bill and Viv didn't like each other.
No. Lucy-Desi Comedy hour came after. The studio was created for I Love Lucy.
@LucyDesi1951 It was initially the RKO studio on the west side of the lot (at Gower Street).
@wntoply6 He played alot of different parts in i love lucy . him and desi were good friends.
i wonder if that is still there...
Westinghouse we bring good things to light. * insert mushroom cloud here.
yes.
wow thanks.
@alexandshady no! vivian didnt want her husband to that old. they really became good friends!
did he say "WESTINGHPOUSE" appliances???
It would not have been pretty because Bill and Vivian hated each other and Lucy and Desi were a year from divorce.
wait is this before i love lucy started?
This cannot be before I Love Lucy was made, look how much older everyone looks‼️
hahaha "Fred Mertz might be a tightwad but Bill Frawley isnt!"
@alexandshady
Actually Fred and Ethel had more of love-hate relationship
More hate than Love..... 🖤🖤
This is pretty boring but its great to see Lucy and Dez
@alexandshady well.. i guess i heard wrong. iam sorry!
...and on this video all they do is hang out with each other. So weird...
@alexandshady ok! ahahah! :)
Ethel was fine. Everyone else looks old.
They're all dead now. I hope they enjoyed life more than I have.
