it's a good thing to do especially with vinegar but unfortunately we don't have this type of refrigerator, but it can be good for those who have this kind of device thank you for sharing!
You're welcome! We also put a little into the dishwasher every so often to help keep the jets clean, and we submerge out shower heads and the sprayer on the sink in the same way as well. It really helps extend the life of that stuff.
This is good info! Though I'd probably wear disposable gloves, so my fingers do not smell (three days later). 🧤

It might. Gotta keep an eye on that one though. Most refrigerators with the stainless finish are just the white plastic ones with a thin and soft layer of stainless and a clear coat or something over the top of that. It should be ok, since vinegar should be ok with it, but keep an eye on it to be sure.
I'm here to find out how to (take out) the water dispenser thing & clean it?
The actual dispenser is installed in the door. I believe to take that out, you'd need to open the door from the inside and remove a few screws. That's how ours is, anyway. It depends on your particular refrigerator, but I think they're mostly the same.
Okay., time to clean the fridge.
Ours is a Samsung... so it just kinda drips and leaks.... So that tray gets filthy like that constantly!

I tried this overnight but it didn't work. I was able to remove a very small amount of the hard water spots (our tray is black). I'm going to try one more time though.
Hmm.... is you tray made of painted plastic like mine? Also, black can be a little tougher too... It really likes to show EVERYTHING
White vinegar has lots of uses. I add small bowl if it when running the dishwasher.
PS: It looks like your fridge ice-maker water tray is upside down. 🙃
I know! It does look upside down... It only goes in that way though.... Weird Samsung logic. The dishwasher idea is a great one that I forgot about... Shower heads too.
