Hey! Great video.. i got some issue with the Voronoi Colour.. When i hit the select by vertex quality it gets an error that claims ""Failure of filter: 'Select by Vertex Quality' No parameter with name Inclusive found in RichParameterList".. What am I doing wrong?
Yeah I was gonna say - you ARE an excellent teacher! Nice work. I can't wait to see the video on how to preserve features (I'm trying to make a lamp shade, so I need the circle to mount the bulb and a few other features. I would be keen to know if you have any thoughts on optimizing the incoming mesh. Meshes that come in with revolved features sometimes have massive numbers of triangles coming in at a point at the axes. If you can't tell I'm a newbie to Meshlab, but in an hour and with your help I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable. Nice work Matt. I appreciate it.
Great tutorial! Always wondered how these could be created. Before you create depth at around 5:58, would it be possible to export the flat geometry as a transparency map, e.g to then be mapped on other spheres in a modeling program?
Hey, thanks for this. I have an issue tho - when I go to select by vertex quality, I get an error message saying "current mesh does not have vertex quality." Can anyone help?
Thanks Matt. I'm on first run with meshlab, so it's all new. I got the voronoi sphere ok, but failed voronoi on other shapes such as box, cone, anchor. Voronoi vertex processing filter makes all go red. Mesh dots seem ignored.
hi, I'm trying to take a model i made in solidworks and giving it nice quads to use in ZBrush I tried the tessimation feature in ZBrush with no luck do you know if mesh labs can help me achieve this goal?
At 4m44 when I choose to delete vertices, on my model it deletes what are the red and keeps the inner areas. How have I managed to select the inverse? Thanks.
Maybe you set max to lo, and min to hi. You need to set max to highest, then adjust min so that you leave the spines. I'm a total noob, so this is just a guess.
Hi everyone I've a problem after 3-th step "Filter -> Selection -> Select by Vertex Quality... Here is the screenshot of this failure drive.google.com/file/d/1xnmsCvVrcTuFaK1fEh-GTLoaWBwJNyK7/view?usp=sharing Any idea what is that?
Hello, I have the same problem. I resolved it with fitlter > selection > conditional vertice selection. And for the boolean expression i put (q >= 0.07 && q < 0.26) . There are no cursor here you shall have to choose the good values.
You look really happy doing this... You are are a natural teacher. Seize that. You have been very clear and precise. Thanks.
Great video, thanks! Really looking forward to your follow-up video on retaining local details!

Thank you Very Nice.
Thanks Very Nice, it's very helpful

It would be wonderful if some designer applied this geometry to something like Bucky Fullers flys eye dome.

Hi Miles, thanks for your comment. Please stay tuned, I've got a video coming up showing how to apply this process to any mesh!
Thank you Very Nice ... Question : If I have a Bust or Mask, how to create volume for printing ? using MESHLAB.... thanks again
Okay, how soon is "soon" is the next video tho? This is great.

Will this work on any geometry?
Somebody facing error at "Selecting Vertex Quality".
- Install MeshLab 2020.04
- Run MeshLab with AMD/nvidia Software.

What happened with the next video? was just getting into this lol
Sad that RUclips videos explaining details for the various capabilities of this software, and software documentation are as *rare as hen's teeth.* 😥
