I love Seth and what I will always remember most was during covid when he worked so hard from his attic to keep us entertained and his sweet boys guest appearances along with the captain and other characters...so imaginative. Seth and Stephen are gold.
Reflecting back, wasnt that all just a really frightening time and I think we blocked out the strangeness and fear to make it through the long haul of the Pandemic. The Late Night guys made us laugh and that is priceless
Yeah, honestly, pre-pandemic I'd long fallen out of the habit of watching late night shows in general, aside from maaaaybe catching an interview here and there if it was someone I was particularly interested in, so Seth wasn't even really on my radar. Then Colbert's first quarantine episode where he was in the bath pulled me right back in, and I soon came to appreciate the similarly scrappy vibes of Seth's early (pre-attic) 2020 shows. But after a little while, it felt like Colbert was basically trying to do something as close as possible to his regular show under irregular circumstances, whereas Seth fully leaned into the chaos and let it reshape him. Nothing wrong with either of those approaches, but I guess I find Seth's take on late night hosting a little more crunchy and authentic, and I really enjoy that. Corrections feels like a natural evolution of the weird and wild running jokes from the attic days. It's an absolute gem and truly one of the highlights of my week, every week - it never misses.
Oliver will be the hardest. Those motherfuckers do a lot of research. Having said that, I do find one or two things in every episode which deserve some correcting.
All that was missing was an impression of the graphics department being condescending when he pointed out their mistake 😂

I went into "Firefly cancellation" levels of mourning when Seth said the 100th would be the last episode of Corrections. Knowing he does this on his own time I couldn't really fault him for not wanting to do extra work anymore, but I cannot explain how ridiculously happy I am that he stayed with it!

I cannot express how happy this made me - the intersection of my two favorite late night hosts AND Corrections. And Stephan understood the assignment - berate the graphics department and curse the jackals. A+, 10/10. No notes.
They left out the heart of #CORRECTIONS though. That is, that we were there for Seth, and he, for us, during the pandemic. He has shared before how connecting to his audience helped him. It's not just knit pickers attacking him and him telling us to F off.

Love it when these guys visit each other's shows. Eg., When Seth hosted Jimmy Kimmel - and they were plotting what to do if T-Rumpf goes to prison. It was hilarious. I know these folks are basically in competition with each other - but as I hang out with many fellow bassists and bg vocalists when I'm not actually gigging - I like to think they all hang out together when they're not 'on.' They're so creative and cleverly quick and humorous - surely to God, they'd make better political administrators than the 'clowns' who are actually in office, now.
I love everything about this. Love Stephen, love Seth, and love Corrections. Learning more about why and how Corrections is made is super fun. And their camaraderie is inspiring.
Seth is criminally underrated. Closer Look segments alone prove that. It's outstanding how much he's made his shows format it's own thing, that really stands out, but doesn't get ridiculous.
I love how Seth does the work to produce a segment each week for the jackals, and now, in these comments, every jackal is like "YES! COLBERT NOTICED US! WE MADE IT!"

Corrections has truly changed how I watch Late Night n a fundamental level. I will constantly have to remind myself that Corrections is ONLY for Seth, then go rush over to one of his videos and get it out of my system over there.
One of the recent corrections that I put up in one of Colbert's episodes despite knowing there is no Colbert version of Corrections was regarding the potential re-scheduling of marijuana and how he was saying that as it's Schedule I, it's considered more dangerous than fentanyl (he might have also mentioned cocaine, which despite being illegal is only Schedule II). But scheduling is based on abuse potential/lack of established medical use, NOT level of danger
Seth and Stephen are what got me through COVID. As a teacher forced to teach virtually, I felt a kinship with these two humans who needed to connect to people and were doing their absolute best to make those connections. Absolute gems in our society. ❤

Love it when these guys visit each other's shows. Eg., When Seth hosted Jimmy Kimmel - and they were plotting what to do if T-Rumpf goes to prison. It was hilarious. I know these folks are basically in competition with each other - but as I hang out with many fellow bassists and bg vocalists when I'm not actually gigging - I like to think they all hang out together when they're not 'on.' They're so creative and cleverly quick and humorous - surely to God, they'd make better political administrators than the 'clowns' who are actually in office, now.

I love everything about this. Love Stephen, love Seth, and love Corrections. Learning more about why and how Corrections is made is super fun. And their camaraderie is inspiring.
Seth is criminally underrated. Closer Look segments alone prove that. It's outstanding how much he's made his shows format it's own thing, that really stands out, but doesn't get ridiculous.
I love how Seth does the work to produce a segment each week for the jackals, and now, in these comments, every jackal is like "YES! COLBERT NOTICED US! WE MADE IT!"

One of the recent corrections that I put up in one of Colbert's episodes despite knowing there is no Colbert version of Corrections was regarding the potential re-scheduling of marijuana and how he was saying that as it's Schedule I, it's considered more dangerous than fentanyl (he might have also mentioned cocaine, which despite being illegal is only Schedule II). But scheduling is based on abuse potential/lack of established medical use, NOT level of danger
