I like the memphis shades road warrior faring the best. I can't stand the bigger faring's!! I love that faring u have on there right now looks perfect on that bike nice and sleek.
This video is a year old. I just stumbled upon it and I’m pretty sure it helped me make my decision between the three touring baggers. Gotta ride the fat bob for another year before I can trade it in though lol
Love your King! Very well thought out and executed. With those Hammerhead bars, how did you get it to fit in the Road King's handlebar clamp. Many thanks if you could please share your experience and expertise. Stay safe, Rob.
The MS Road Warrior fairing on my 21 RKS really shakes and shimmies at higher freeway speeds. I think the issue is that the MS doesn’t include the headlight ring on the RK version like they do on the softail version. The headlight ring adds rigidity to the fairing. This is a flaw that I wish MS would address.
The bags in the video are the OEM bags that came with the bike. The front fender is from Hofmann Designs. Here's the link: www.hofmann-designs.com/collections/carbon-fiber
Thanks for this video. I’m 5’9 as well with 30 inseam. I have the 18” freedom shield now but I am getting buffeting. Looking to try the road warrior. Did you have the 18” freedom shield and did the buffeting improve in comparison? Appreciate your thoughts!!
I actually had the 20" which did really well. I'd say the road warrior with 15" vented does a really good job with buffering. I wouldn't say it improved going to the road warrior as the shield is smaller than the 20" but I'm very happy with the way it performs
First off, glad everyone is ok. Bike is looking 🔥. I'm pretty sure I saw your old video and I can go back, but the black tach ring, is that painted or aftermarket?
Thank you on both accounts! Loving how your bike is coming along as well. That black ring is aftermarket, its slightly bigger than the chrome trim it covers. Dark parts i believe makes it. Ebay find.
@@WeRide2 thanks! Yeah I found it, $99 euro, def a little pricey like everything else for these bikes 🤦♂️. I’m going to hold out, gonna swap out the gauge with the Dakota Digital eventually which is all blacked out. Thanks again and keep ‘em coming!
@@SJBagger And be prepared to wait a little to get it.... Good idea with the dakotas, I was looking at those too. Can't wait to see them on your bike. Thanks for stopping by!
So the vented road warrior fairing in a 15” has no buffeting? I’m 6’ and have been looking at a road warrior for my road king as well. I do like the looks. The Baja Designs yellow light. Is it bright at night time?? Thanks!
For me there was no buffeting but I'm also 5'9". Ideally you want the top of the windshield to be level with the bottom of your nose is my understanding. The Baja LP6 is one of the brightest headlights you can get on your motorcycle. Very happy with it.
Super nice! I wish you were 6’2” so you could tell me how much buffeting you get with that fairing 😂 I’d like to try it but have tried a few different shields and always go back to no shield. Did the fabworks bars in the rear do their job without damage?
Trust me i wish i was 6'2" as well LOL. I think the rule of thumb is if you plan on looking over the windshield it should be 1 to 2" under your line of sight. this one sits a little lower than that but perhaps the angle of the windshield helps as well. The rear bars only had damage to the lower slider which I swapped out, but it was minimal.
@Senior P the ones that are made out of metal that attach parallel to the forks. Their usually 2 to 5 inches wide and around 24 inches long depending on motorcycle model. When you riding and you hold your hand out in the air coming up from the sides of the gas tank, your helmet moves left and right from that. I know it sounds crazy. Personally I didn't think it would help much but I was desperate to fix my buffeting issue. It was so bad it made my vision blurry instantly if my helmet was in a certain spot. Those fork deflectors/ fangs totally fixed my issue. I can cruise at 80mph all day now with zero buffeting.

Love the Fat bob! Test ride them all, its the best way to figure out what's best for you. Thanks for watching!!
A year late to the party but digging the bike. Subscribed
Better late then never! Thank you for the subscription!!

Thank you! No modifications required, the bars are sized to fit the handlebar clamp. Stay safe!
Can't go wrong with the Memphis Shades. Road King looks great 👍

100% agree

Bike looks great how’s the lyndall rotor breaking in I just ordered the same one for my road glide
It's been almost a year now, they've faded a little but they're still really nice. Just make sure you get the pads too

Thank you! LA Choppers Hammerhead

Those little 2 inch fork deflectors totally fixed buffeting.
Perfect aftermarket curved windshield
= 5% improvement
Fork deflectors
= 95 % improvement.
That's my experience 🤷♂️
@@jes1375 which deflectors are those, the Harley ones are a lot bigger than 2” 😂

@Senior P the switchback ones are narrow but I don't know how to upload the picture on here
Where did you get the blue anodized bar clamps for the brank and clutch?
