That’s because he has no hips- no obliques, weak lumbar extensors and so on which all add to the waist But yea- he really does taper a lot It just wouldn’t be the same if his legs were functional
I’m not usually into bodybuilding- it takes so much out of those who do it and can give people who do it body dysmorphia- but I still *do* respect the work and effort that bodybuilders put in! These men should be so proud of such a feat!
I'm not a fan of body building either. I'm more into real sports that require real skill. Yes there's a bit of skill required in posing on stage, but that is nothing compared to most other sports. Hey, even weightlifting is better. Yeah, bodybuilders train really hard that's cool, but still it's nothing compared to other sports, even me! Like, ~2hours in the gym everyday is lot, but those hours training per day is nothing for many. That would equate to 750hours per year. I've seen top xc-ski racers train up and over 1000hours, some people have trained 1400hours, that's almost 4 hoirs every day on average. Gym is good training, but boring😂
@@joneinarmattiasvisser6113There's so much more to it than just 2 hours in the gym every day. Sure, it doesn't require the same amount of practice and skill as other sports, but don't underestimate the EXTREME amounts of effort, discipline and dedication it requires. Maintaning that amount of discipline and having that mental fortitude is a skill in itself. It might "only" be 2 hours in the gym per day, but that's 2 hours of hard training, pushing your body to it's limits and enduring pain. But that's not even the tough part, the tough part is outside the gym. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle, when you're done with training you don't go home and call it a day. You need to follow a strict schedule and diet to make sure you're getting enough sleep and all of the nutrients you need. When you're bulking you eat absurd amounts of food and when you're cutting you eat so little you barely have any energy. In the last preparations for a show you cut down on water as well to dehydrate the body so your muscles are more defined. When you have that little fat it's also common to feel cold at room temperature and experience pain in your feet because you have so little "padding" under your feet. All of this is not even taking into consideration the effect steroids can have on your mental health. It can be hard to control your anger and you can get really bad anxiety. Of course there are many other physical side effects of steroids but that's another story. Regardless, it takes so much more effort to become a professional bodybuilder than many people know. Of course genetics will help a lot, but don't forget the THOUSANDS of hours and YEARS of hard work (both inside and outside of the gym) these people have dedicated to becoming the best.
One of my best friends passed away almost 30 years ago in college, Scott was wheelchair bound, but the only thing it bound was his ability to walk. I miss you buddy. Thanks for showing this.
Samson has that proper V-taper, not the thick waists you usually seen on open div bb’s. Bro looks big like Ronnie and aesthetic like CBum at the same time.
I got lucky enough to be neighbors with Keone’s dad who taught me a lot of stuff about working out when I was younger and when Keone first became a body builder, his dad tells me all about Keone and he genuinely works so hard and deserves all he has achieved

@efficientfuture No but it was almost tied. I think it was a 4-3 decision. Final scoring was like 6 to 9. First time Chris didn't get a perfect score while winning. But definitely super close. Mike's back, quads and chest are amazing. But he has more of a bodybuilder physique to me rather than classic.

Men’s physique and 212 don’t make any sense to me Terry is straight up JACKED. All of men’s physique is absolutely ridiculously huge. Seems like the division lost the plot. And 212… Keone is good enough to place high in open, in spite of being short as a toddler. 212 has some might little beefcakes that deserve a chance at more money. Wicked good esthetics from those gargoyles.
Dude with 50 years old wins the olympia, thats crazy
let alone being wheelchair bound. Imagine if that guy was fully mobile…. Mad respect.
Plus, he's 50, so it's more likely he isn't on steroids unlike the younger Mr olympia competitors
@@someonehelpmewithaname It's even more likely that he is on steroids.
@@someonehelpmewithanamebruh
@@someonehelpmewithaname no offense but your logic is backwards.
Thanks so much for including the wheel chair division....!!!
Wheel chair division is also probably hardest since it is really hard for them to do cardio. Mad respect
YOOOOOI
Always stand up for yourself if faced with ableism
They have a wheelchair division🧐🤔
@charlotte3201 I see what you did there
Kelly’s v-taper is genuinely mind blowing
Should take a look at Maurice “Corey” Morris🤯
How's kelly?
Nigerian better than Iranian
It's easy to get a nice v taper when you skip leg days

I’m actually happy with the results of this year’s Olympia. Like each physique and body type resonates with the division they’re in.
Except the classic physique category, CBUM deserved the win but Ramon and Wesley got robbed.
Hell no, physique has been bastardized ever since it was implemented. Go look at the original winners and look how it has changed every year.
@@fadhilahmad5641 ramon got robbed of what exactly , he couldn't even land third place , chris dominated
@@crainex5857 I wasn't discrediting Chris. I was referring to people like Urs who didn't deserve the placement he's got.

The fact that Samson looks like he woukd fit in perfectly in classic with his physique is crazy
Bodybuilding is just the same across divisions except bigger and smaller versions of each other

It's incredible what's possible with hard work, training and steroids.
was nice to see the wheelchair division included, nice one man
Samson looks awesome
Holy shit look at Samson's legs. The Conditioning on them is gritty. Looks like he has sandpaper under his skin. W
Ryan Terry has a god tier physique, that is pretty much what every guy wants to look like
Bodybuilding finally has made its Proper Adjustments 💯 we are very lucky
keon might have one of, if not the best overall physique in the world rn
can you do a short for Ms. Olympia?
Dauda hands down all day. Incredible
Bumstead’s mustache is amazing
Guys getting super excited to watch guys dressed like chip and dale dancers is crazy
Samson Dauda definitely had a great physique
Ryan Terry has some insane oblique definition, and it's sad to see C-bum go but holy crap did he end his career with a bang!
Samson dauda se ve increible 😮
I really want to see Keon in the open division
Never happening
For his sake, I hope not.
his gut is already distending at 212
They are all legends! Sad to see Chris go!! Jeeez Samson is pulling some great gains!
Pearson's physique is the best imo. Hes the perfect mix of size and aesthetics and if he was taller I bed he could compete with Chris.
Seeing Keones potential a few years back blew my mind this nearly ripped it off of its foundation
“You’re 2024 Mr. Olympia” really? I didn’t step on stage.
🤣🤣
I like to imagine a world where Dauda seeks to destroy the world and CBum seeks to protect it🔥

Mad respect for the guy in wheelchair. Never knew there was a division for that.
Classic physique is the best looking division out there in terms of aesthetics and symmetry.
He has no calves.
Keone 212 looked 240. Amazing physique
Winner in the wheelchair division is Ronnie Coleman
Haadi choopan was ranked second but he is the winner of our hearts❤️🔥

Keon unmatched
The oil everywhere but the head is hilarious, makes it look like they didn't load a texture properly

Different poses, lower weight cap, only grading upper body etc

212 - must be under 212 pounds and i believe 5’6
classic physique - weight limits for every height and emphasis on ‘classic bodybuilding’
Open - no limits, any weight, any height
Men’s physique - focus on aesthetics and V taper look
I saw a short where they showed these big body builders being small guys wearing a body suit and i cant unsee it pay attention on shoulders
Best Olympia since 2020
King King might have been my favourite, or Ryan Terry. Just on a personal preference of aesthetics, not on any body building parameters.
Keone is just too good

Ronny really was different geez
