- The 1970s was a good decade to be a kid. Whatever ticked your fancy, there was something out there for you. But of course, you can’t have it all! Not unless your pockets were hefty. If they were, these are some of the things you probably had in the ‘70s!

LOL just about every kid had a 2600, it was often the only gift they would get if they were poor because it was so desireable.
Atari 2-6-0-0? Really/ It's pronounced Twenty Six Hundred. Bad AI voice!
yea I hate AI.
You tube needs to add a no AI filter.
It's too hard to do your own speaking these days. As soon as I heard that I shut the video off.
The AI on engine videos are bad too, instead of saying "It had a Three fifty smallblock" it always says it long like "It had a three hundred and fifty smallblock". Yep, pass on that
1968. I got a Tyrannosaurus Rex for Christmas. A 4 foot tall foam skeleton!! That wasn’t cheap. We were dirt poor.
We had all these things but we weren’t rich…my parents just got this stuff 10 years later. They thought it was awesome and we did too because we didn’t know we were being raised in a bygone era lol
We were too poor to get the 2600. But I always had a friend with one in their house so I got my time playing. The same went for Rock-em-sock-em
My 9 year old granddaughter got a Barbie dream house for Christmas this year.
What about Tonks toy trucks? Some of them were quite expensive.
you didn't have to be rich to have the Attari a working middle class kid could have one the original price was 190.00 when new or equivalent to nearly 1,000.00 in 2025 money. Ger Animals weren't a rich kid thing I had plenty of them in the 80s early 90s as a young child
My clothes closet is full of Wranglers jeans, wrangler tee shirts, a wrangler jacket and parka. That’s right now today in 2025.
Even potheads had Atari systems and piles of games when they were new. The dollar was just worth a lot more before endless inflation made everyone into economic chess pieces.
My Super Charger plugged in. No batteries. Same with the Sizzlers charger.
That’s not exactly true. Yeah they cost more money. But many lower class homes had several of these products. The 2600 came out near the end of the decade. Working teenagers could afford the console and a few cartridges to boot. 🎉. I got gifted a coleco vision console in 1975 for Christmas. We weren’t rich. That’s what a Christmas club at the bank was for. 😊
I don’t know what the difference is between Matchbox cars versus Hot Wheels?
two six zero zero? what kind of ay eye nonsense is that
keeping up with the joneses
twenty six hundred bot.
voice by AI. any human would know it's pronounced twnety six hundredd
Good video!
