I left this comment and forgot about it until I just saw you replied. After rereading, it sounded slightly condescending and that wasn’t my intention. I should’ve clarified, your upload consistency is what’ll set you apart on RUclips, your art is already amazing! But I’ve seen many amazing artists on this platform who have no audience because they don’t upload regularly or play the algorithm game. I can’t imagine how hard it is for self employed RUclipsrs to maintain a weekly or biweekly release schedule and the fact that you do that so well at a fairly young age sets you apart-you have both the art skills and the business/organizational skills to be truly successful. And your growth mindset is also admirable.
I LOVE your sketchbooks. I like how you use paint, pen, and pencil throughout, use it for sketching from real life or taking notes, exploring OC's, and processing your life. It's really changed how I approach my own sketchbook. Happy holidays and see you next year!
One of my closest friend's dog is named Beef and honestly looks a LOT like his sketchbook counterpart... gift of prophecy??? I also draw myself doin stuff to process things / encourage myself through various experiences. This was a fantastic sketchbook tour, no wonder it took a year to fill this sketchbook, it was jam packed!

I absolutely adore your videos. I discovered your channel about a week or two ago and you helped me get through my finals! When I went to art school during my teen years I used to draw with my friends and discuss our work. Now I’m in university (and not in the art one, sadly) and I’ve realized that I really missed those drawing sessions with my friends. Sooo in the past week you basically were my drawing buddy? Your works inspire me to pursue what I love to do (I would love to become a concept artist and work in game design). Thank you so much

Yeah, I'm in a similar boat when it comes to "plein-air" stuff... I want to do it but I can't drive yet (need to learn) and there's not even any public transport where I live. Very much not beneficial for someone trying to focus their art on plants and nearby nature... anyways haha

You're really talented, I'm so glad you shared your sketchbook with us all❤❤ I had to keep pausing and rewinding because you talk so much with your hands, that your hands cover your artwork. I especially loved the stuffed animals on your bed and the sketches you did during the wedding. Thise are definitely special times you want to remember and drawing it is even better than photos!!!
hi! i just got a pentallic traveler sketchbook for christmas. i have been using moleskine for over a year now, and it holds up really well with watercolor and gouache, and alcohol markers, though there is bleedthrough.you mentioned you've had the brand more than once, how well does the pentallic hold up?
not being able to leave your home and just walk around safely, without the risk of being hit by a car or having to cross a gigantic stroad is a crime America must pay for. I can definitely relate to just not having the motivation to go out because you HAVE to drive. driving sucks
Good luck in 2024, Enjoyed seeing some of the drawings very much but I'm 75 and all that silly chatter about teen-like stuff was a bit tiresome to this old lady. I'm still interested in everyone's sketchbooks as well as my own which I've been keeping for over half a century.
Well, that’s actually understandable 😅.. but I also think those things are part of her process as well. I personally like chatty tours. And having half a century worth of sketchbooks sounds so good!
im looking to buy a new sketchbook, would you say the paper for this one allows you to erase well? im not like. an artist i just doodle with pencil but a lot of paper good for inks doesnt do well with pencil

I don't use a ton of markers in my sketchbook, but the paper type of pentallic is basically drawing/sketch paper, so it probably will bleedthrough.

it erases pretty well, although the paper is a bit toothy I am still able to lift graphite off of the paper
