EA is completely underestimating themselves if they think it will only sell 25% of what Madden sells
They're probably projecting based on previous Ncaa football game sales numbers. Some of the people who used to play those games no longer play video games so they will be trying to capture some new customers. And I'm sure they know some people will play the wait and see game and would avoid buying if it gets really bad reviews. I know for sure I'm not pre-ordering the game because EA sucks. So they'll need to prove to me before I buy it.

Ncaa football gets 1/2 to 1/4 the amount of views as the nfl depending on what metric you use, considering the fact that there is lots of hype it will come close by those numbers and probably even higher then madden but they are expecting worse numbers because ncaa football is smaller. Also Madden's numbers aren't quite as high as they were 5 years ago but nothing too significant I believe that Ncaa will get more sells than Madden but it will be closer than many think
@@pacevoez1929definitely won’t touch madden sales. College football isn’t big enough country wide to hit those sales. The south and some parts of the Midwest and some parts of the west coast actually care about college football. The rest of the country doesn’t.
it might sell 50% of madden sales. nfl is king compared to the much less parity or overall comp outside of maybe 6 programs that the ncaa offers. that's just facts. college football can maybe become more popular if it becomes a better more competitive product.

NCAA needs to have the networks cbs/fs1/fox/espn/abc with broadcast. That simple thing is what NCAA is known for stepping out of the box making it more immersive.

The thing im excited for the most is the playoff to be included in dynasty mode. Hopefully they give you the option to expand to up to 16 teams.

yeah i was so upset when they had plans to put the playoff in 14 but decided to wait, and of course the rest is history. So glad we will have it finally!

If Lee Corso hasn't provided his voice for the game, I hope they can at least put him in a pregame cutscene putting on a mascot head. And my one other wish for the game is the ability to manually override the top25 if I feel there are any anomalies in the polls.
I have to admit, I hope they just let poor Lee retire. The man is like 88, let him enjoy his twilight years
The next time you talk to him, you should ask him about specific traditions for stadiums and stuff. Checker Neyland, White Out, etc.

Honestly they gotta keep the coaching carousel feature for online dynasty and now with the college football playoffs being in-game by default I'm definitely looking forward to playing College Football 2024.
Hopefully custom playbooks are back in too and not forgotten. This is an important game mechanic IMO. I also hope for more than 40 formation limit and 378 play limit. Lift the limits!
And I personally hope they can improve the audibles so you can set the audibles for each formation you have in your playbook instead of setting 5 audibles that are playbook-wide. Which kind of sucks because not always does the personal on the field match the audible plays you have set.
Also if they could somehow get the play editor tool modders CincoUno & Morphys created to work in-game natively that would be awesome addition to these games that would add longevity for players to really edit plays and come up with their own unique playbooks. I know there is online implications and cheese concerns but I'm all for this addition. I want to really install my offense when I take a job as coach. It just brings another level of immersion.
It will probably be similar to madden in its current format in terms of a customized playbook.

One interesting thought on it will be how they go about obtaining a lot of the info on the Pac12 dissolving into the BigTen and what will happen to the Pac12 teams that are staying in what remains of the conference (Oregon State and Washington State).
This was a great interview, I am so excited to hear his optimism on how it seems like it will turn out! I hope they will bring back the Online Dynasty that they had going in 2014 cuz that was so fun! I think it was maxed out at 12 user teams but the recruitment battles with other users was so fun. Especially with the addition of the playoff now... The game is going to be fire!

I enjoyed listening to this with all the new info that was able to be shared. But a few things I hope to know in the “not so distant” future is about Dynasty mode. Like, how many years can Dynasty last until we have to start all over again? Will customizable schedules return? And will we be able to customize conferences like we did in ‘14?
The info about Stadiums at the end was something I appreciated. With all the new tech they have since 2014, they better make it feel like we are in that Stadium. Visuals. Sounds. All of it. CFB atmospheres are so much better than NFL.

i hope they have a feature where you can change rules in the offseason, like in 2K. i would love to start out with a 12 team playoff, and eventually work up to 24

I'm assuming you could probably also choose which schools you play on your non conference schedule hopefully since that's how it is in real life

I'm glad you asked about legends because I've been wanting to play as Bo Jackson in a football game for years. If EA was smart they'd put legendary and All- Madden teams for each franchise like NBA 2K does. Good stuff bro!
As long as they don't follow Madden in graphics and gameplay with the Frostbite engine I'll be satisfied with it

I think it goes without saying that NIL is the biggest challenge for this game. It’s going to be very difficult to get everyone’s favorite player, coach or entity in the game.
Bottom line, this sounds like it will be the best NCAA game to date with the attention to detail they’re putting on campuses, traditions, and even game day. But the true quality of the game is going to come down to the generosity of the players, coaches and universities to make this happen. Which isn’t even in the control of the NCAA, EA, or the colleges themselves

I disagree. It might be the cases with the coach but not the players. The benefit for being in the game as a player is that it is free advertisement for you. Michael Vick didn't make a lot of money from Madden for being in the video game. But Michael Vick made a lot of money because he was in Madden.
This is college football. I don't care about "real" players because in a dynasty they all leave. The 2024 seniors are in the game for 1 season.
It would be a mistake to delay the game for that reason.

Please can you ask about connectivity to Madden 2025 - draft classes/combined superstar mode...dynamic weekly connectivity with the draft class (IE...week 1 of CFB ties in with your Madden Franchise week 1 and updates weekly depending on players improving/regressing)

also everything’s aside the gameplay of this game is just so much pure and feels realistic compared to how madden looks this year and everything. I bought madden and i regret it everyday because now i just play cfb revamped

In ncaa-11-ncaa14 the ncaa games used the base scorebug in the game so I can imagine it will be the same

If you get a chance to talk to him again ask him if you can start your career as a senior at high school and u have to keep a high gpa and play all 8 games in the highschool year and if it’s more in depth 💀💀💀 or at least if high school games are more in depth

Since the game has not come out in a long time, I could see the hype pushing sales for EA Sports College Football, but historically, Madden blew NCAA Football out of the water in sales
I think the first game could do as well or better than Madden 25(or whatever it will be called) but I think down the road Madden will outsale NCAA
