Congrats on your 6 months of retirement Jim. I just completed my first month. It feels strange after 37 years on the job but only 56 years old. Strange but a good strange. :)
I have been retired a year and a half now and at first I was worried about the money but the worry was for nothing, we end up spending less than when I was working and we did plan for many years on building up reserves in both cash and brokerage accounts. The dividends from the brokerage accounts help to replenish the cash reserves. In the end I worried for nothing, I have zero regrets retiring other than missing my work friends and I make an effort to still see them.
To me, your perspective just changes and little things that didn’t concern you before suddenly, and surprisingly, become important. I think part of it is your available mental bandwidth that isn’t tied to work and part of it is just a change in priorities.
Interesting perspective Jim! Thanks for the advice!
I appreciate you watching. Thank you.

Congratulations! Relax and enjoy!! Thanks for watching.
Retired almost 3 months ago and dont regret anything. But my biggest problem is looking at the markets like I just did before watching your video. Lol
I’m getting better about not watching the markets. Congratulations on your retirement.
