Thank you for the explanation on the full size workbook, I will finish my first book this year and I was looking for a new one but couldn't find it, I think I will give a try to the box set but definitely will be waiting for the full size next year. :)
Kumiko and Ryen, it is so good to see you back! Thanks to this method, my husband and I got out of debt and saved enough to buy a couch for our family in cash! It is a beautiful used leather couch, and I could never have afforded it without the Budget by Paycheck method to get our money under control. It feels so good to buy with cash.
The booklets worked really well to get used to this method. It prevented me from getting overwhelmed, and I could keep it on my desk without taking up a lot of space. Once I got comfortable, then I wanted it all in one big booklet LOL. Still recommend the box set though.
“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time” I know some people are disappointed with the booklet discontinuation, but I hope people understand that having many different formats is really hard to upkeep, from a design perspective and from logistics and printing cost as well as warehouse costs. It is clear that TBM is trying to keep costs for consumers down while trying to upkeep as many products as possible, thank you! 💚💙💜
I love your videos. I think a big part of your success is the honesty that you bring to the table. I love that you’re willing to adapt to what the people want and need.
Love to see you both back! September was also a bit of a blur, but after 3 months of using this method, my husband and I reached our 1K savings goal + took a family vacation 🤩 love love love the BBP Method!
Thank you so much for your explanation of the full sized BBP workbooks. I'm so glad you will be doing the full sized again. Looking forward to what you have in store for us in the next two weeks!
I love to set up some chores or go for a walk and listen to the two of you. it's like hanging out with good friends! thanks for keeping me motivated on this financial journey!
I loved the boxed set. I started in 2020 and the boxed set was easier less overwhelming. Now that I am on a hybrid schedule at work I like being able to take the monthly booklet with me. The writing down of the budget is key. You are more invested into your money. I used to do that in a black and d we bite composition notebook. But the BBPs in print for are much more appealing by it being a form you won’t forget the steps. 😊🎉
Hey ladies!!! 👋 Missed seeing your smiling faces giggling on these recap videos. Yay! Next week's September recap!! THAT'S going to be an interesting recap! My August was a good month, but definitely feels like 10 years ago! 💙💜💙
I'm debt free and waiting for the workbook printed please do them in a workbook to people who budget don't abandon the method once debt free we move onto the next phase in the journey.
Love these videos! I’m glad I purchased a full size for 2023 when you first announced you wouldn’t be offering them for the year. I love the bulkiness of it 😅
I ordered another one as well, which is nice because the dates are not filled in! I also love the bulkiness of it - I plop it on my desk and check my bank balance as part of my morning routine with my coffee ☕️💵📒
Hi Miko you've really inspired me to make changes in my life when it comes to money and budgeting. I loved your mini lessons on my money my way. I love your story its really inspired me to work hard and be cautious about my savings.I've learnt a lot from you I'm planning to order your planner book set soon. I was wondering why you went quiet but now i know. I keep checking on my notification. Congratulations on your marriage. Stay blessed and Thank you so much. All they way from Africa. Zambia
Come on Oct 2023😊 I have used the box set and the convenience is good however when your end of the month check covers next month's bill it can be a pain carrying two booklets.
Love you ladies! 💕As a single mom of 2 boys (now 17 & 19) both with Autism, one with epilepsy, and me with type 1 diabetes, it has been a financial circus of survival! You helped we reel in my finances and really look at where I was financially. I am in a much better place now at 50 than ever. Do you have any suggestions on trusts? My older boy will need help after I am gone and I'm not sure where to look for help with that.
Miko, have you considered making a big BBP book, but smaller profile ? Sort of like the LRP that comes in the full size and in the smaller size? Please let us know in your next video if you’d consider that? I love the size of the booklets, but miss having things all together.
Yes, possibly in the future. Right now we are only focusing on the full-size. It's costly to bring in and introduce new sizes but we will consider that for 2024 and beyond.
Being new to your channel and method, I did purchase the box set. I’m just having a hard time figuring it all out. I feel so lost and confused. I purchased the course too. We just need to finish it. I definitely have a spending issue at our house versus a income issue and honestly don’t even know how to tackle the issue to get us fully on track.
I was sad to see that the BBP was not available. Wasn't sure what the boxset was or else I would have gotten my hands on it... If it's in my budget and still available I'll definitely purchase it.. if not, the printable works too!
I have been using the box set for this year. I'm not fond of it..I also have a full size I bought that I'm going to use next year. Then I will be ready for the new one in 2023!
I wish I could offer what everybody wants but unfortunately, that's just too costly and risky so I focus on providing the most highly-requested option to people. We are a debt-free business so that also plays a part in our decisions.
I recently found The Budget mom a couple months past and it has been a Godsend! I did have one question about something that I’m struggling with- my monthly recap. I get paid bi-weekly and because my budgeting doesn’t fit perfectly with the end of a month, I don’t know how to go about doing a budget recap so that I can compare my months. Do you have any advice or a previous video I can watch that goes into that and options on what to do? Thanks so much!!!
I'm in the same boat, so I track on the Expense Trackers from the 1st of the month to the last day (regardless of what date my paychecks land on during that time). Then I add them up to know how I did for that month. Anything left in your checking account or cash envelopes on that last day of the month is your Starting Balance for the next month's Expense Trackers. Hope that helps.
Miko talked about this a while back. She was paid on the 5th and 22nd. You can carry money over to the new month to pay for things that occur in n that month. I get paid on the 15th and the last work day in a month, but I can do a monthly recap. I hope that my response is helpful. 😊
What do you mean? We will be having physical versions released in June for the LRP and October for the BBP of 2023. We are unfortunately not doing any production runs in 2022 to get rid of existing inventory. We have tons of physical LRP and BBP's in stock
Hi Amy, Are you talking about the new Forgiveness thing Biden announced? I'm not 100% sure that I still qualify for it since I know he changed the guidelines, but I'll know this month once the application comes out.
The $5 Challenge is saving every $5 bill I come across in my variable cash envelopes, and the Chicken Savings is a savings goal I have since I am getting chickens!
@@spricep I just read something that says they aren’t creating any physical books until 2023 in October so that must be the digital. The box set is 1/2 off so I just ordered those to get me by. Not I love with the design but it’s not a beauty contest 🤣
I would do multiple traditional ira's or other savings before 529. 529 hurts many families. Lots of 529 rules and traps to follow. If you make too much or have maxed out other areas then 529 ok...but still a trap. Congress needs to get back to work and fix the retirement and savings red tape programs.
@@cgbehles4 Thank you for answering! Does that mean you would short one of your other categories (i.e., take $20 from your food envelope), take from your bank acct cushion? Or is it 'just get it done however makes sense to you'?
@@EE-in7su yes, I mostly use my checking account cushion, but occasionally will use cash from envelopes that I don't reeeaaaally need to spend from that period. I try not to cash flow too often, but it's impossible to pre-plan for everything, ha!
