  • Bertie the A30 and the Jaguar Invicta special in the first field. Wonderfully diverse and packed out event blessed with good weather this year. Autojumble joy for Bertie in the shape of a spare unfitted laminated windscreen for £10 and Gold Seal gearbox (correct for 1954) £25. Bertie seemed to evoke many childhood memories for those who stopped to chat. No so the Jaguar Invicta as it is a one of a kind scratch built car by a Rolls Royce trained design engineer in the 1970's who later founded Marlin Cars.

      Indeed you did and we had you spotted very early descending The Glen. Who else could it possibly be we thought! How is it going? It looked very impressive in full flight.

      @@chriswybrew1740 it’s not going too bad, there’s a few niggles to resolve including a vibration that crops up when it’s hot! But I’m fairly confident that it’ll be ready for our departure in a few weeks time!
