And skilled video editing. Nice. Good alternative to being a pro racer. In my semi-pro motocross days my sponsoring shop kept me on their payroll while my teammate and I spent time at the practice track. Going in it sounded awesome. But I soon learned that being "pro" seemed to suck the life out of my love of the sport. So don't get too envious of those high profile, sponsored riders. Those sponsorships and "free stuff" can carry a heavy enjoyment cost. A lot of tedious work to create good quality content like this...How do you guys avoid burnout?
Ashton, thanks for the "how to be a pro" advice. But this is more than how to be a pro, I see it as how to BE in life and on social media. I'll be passing this advice on to my children and others from the younger generation.
So, active networking; careful, thoughtful social media presence; be polite and respectful to all people. Frankly, not bad advice for what ever industry you're getting into.
What a great subject to cover, being a new RUclipsr this is going to be super helpful to me. I especially like the rules about about being positive & I like to think that’s how I am. Quality content as always lads
bearded viking mtber I found your channel from a comment on another vid. What I like about it is you’re just a normal guy who’s putting himself out there. Keep up the good work dude 🤙🏻
This information is absolute gold! I'm 39 years old and have been an avid mountain biker the vast majority of my life. I just think it would be cool to maybe get a few local sponsors for some local races, with some stickers/swag/inspiration. I'm not a social media guy, but i appreciate how it can be valuable and the information.
I've noticed a shift beginning with RUclipsrs. They're starting to not be as bothered with how they threat their followers or of upsetting them. More and more I'm also seeing them lose gratitude towards their followers, and putting themselves on a pedestal.
@@beardedvikingmtber No disrespect but your channel is still just a fledgling one, not that I'm saying you too well go this way... but for instance Brian from BKXC, he recently said he's not going to read any comments from his subscribers on his channel anymore, Paul the Punter gets very defensive and even slightly angry if you dare question him on anything, and Sam Pilgrim can even get very rude and personal if you DARE to say anything even remotely negative about something he's done, or you disagree with him. I'm sure people will shout me down for this as said RUclipsrs are very popular, and I too love watching the majority of their vids, but even so it's definitly a trend I'm starting to see more frequently, unfortunately.
34gtrskyline1 I had not really noticed the you tubers you mentioned doing that, I don’t spend much time scanning other comments. If I like the vid I will say so, if I don’t then I just move on & no offence taken mate
I guess at least they still post content or mtb content, not vanished into thin air or moved into wood-working/building their private trail... but we all have a choice to watch, follow or not, so be kind, nothing nice to say then say nothing.

How bout a billionaire who rides?
Trust me, you wouldn't haha!
Nah be a billionaire and buy the best bike and then be a pro rider
