Embarkation Day on P&O's Aurora: 3 Night Mini Cruise to Guernsey Vlog

Today is our Embarkation Day as we get onboard P&O Aurora on a 3 Night Mini Cruise to Guernsey.
This was our first time sailing from Southampton AND our first cruise with P&O Cruises, so we were very excited and had a lot to discover! Once we had made it through the queues we were onboard, ticked off our muster station and made our way to our inside cabin (F131).
We had hoped to enjoy our sailaway but after a long time waiting this didn't seem to be happening. Rather than worry about any problems we did what we do best: we ate!
This evening we enjoyed our meal in Aurora's Medina restaurant, before a quick visit to the silent disco and Carmen's before turning in for the night.
Aurora is P&O Cruises smallest and oldest cruise ship. It is an adults only ship, with lots of bars, restaurants and some great outside spaces. Our first impressions of Aurora are very good, and we can't wait to give this ship a full explore in our next video!

Obviously we like all sorts of holidays but a cruise can be great for both some relaxation and also for getting to sample different places (in theory...). Sorry to hear you had to cancel your Kefalonia trip but good news is I don't think it's going anywhere so you can always book again for the future still? Hope you had a great time away in the caravan?
Impressed with the wardrobe space but I think I'd feel claustrophobic with no window. Can't wait for next vlog to see more of ship.!
Yes I was really impressed with the amount of storage space in our cabin! As for the windows, one thing I would say is that the lack of natural daylight in the morning could be a little disorientating. But on the plus side, we both slept sooo well in the pitch black

Haahahaah I think you might be the only person ever in history (outside of us saying it to ourselves) to say that we need MORE holidays!! And you know what, I TOTALLY agree 😂🤩🎉

Nice vlog chaps! We had a great cruise on Aurora, such a nice looking ship. We both agree that ‘Mushroom mousse’ should never have been invented!! We think inside cabins are generally just a base, and are perfect for the short cruise you’re on especially with such a good price. 😂 We subscribed to follow your journey. 😊
Ah thanks 🙏🥰 previously we enjoyed a balcony cabin and so I was a little apprehensive but actually the inside cabin provided everything we needed and we spent a lot of time in the Crows Nest enjoying the views of rain and the Channel 😂😂😂 I know the song goes "Try the grey stuff, it's delicious" but in that case THAT is a LIE 😜
Looking forward to seeing more. Think I would need a window. Hope the sea calmed and the hot tub warmed up for you!😊
Oh we did enjoy plenty of hot tub time, including in the rain 😂😂 but that's to come in the next video 😉

How did you find the inside cabin? We’ve tended to avoid but we do have one booked next year as I struggled to justify the price jump, please tell me it wasn’t awful, ha!
Honestly, it did us fine! I was apprehensive before hand but we really spend so little time in the room and so as a place to sleep and freshen up it did us great and A LOT cheaper too. If I was offered a balcony cabin at the same price would I accept it? Of course, but I also would definitely be happy to do another inside cabin in future and save the pennies.
