there are those who say that after Belos died Hunter created a grimwalker of Philip in an attempt to be a better brother to that clone than Caleb was to Philip...
I wonder if the Grimwalker version of Dauris would act like a father to Hunter just like the real Darius. He could always be pretty evil or pretend to care about him but I thought the parallels sounded good here.
But how? The grim walkers that belos makes can’t use magic but the coven heads need magic to be coven heads of a coven that had magic so the coven members would be confused why there leaders can’t use that certain type of magic
About the age issue, we see in the book that grimwalkers age like humans, starting from babies. So the coven heads would need to be a head long enough for a bone to be stolen early enough.
Lol I’m imagining an underground kindergarten full of grimwalkers & teachers who can’t reveal their true job description because the grimwalker secret would cause havoc on the Boiling Isles
Is it just me or when Hunter said in Thanks to Them, “And I want to make sure you never hurt anyone again!” it was foreshadowing him dying to protect everyone?
i think that mightve been his intention when he threw the titans blood into the water, cuz of the wording of the statement and cuz he probably knew belos would go after it, but then camila saved him
I don't think Hunter will die because that would make flapjack's sacrifice pointless and Hunter already had his self-sacrifice with the titan's blood which, as someone has already stated, was probably the intent behind this dialogue. So in my opinion he's probably going to remain alive at the end of the series and not die to protect everyone lol
Can you imagine that Eda goes to Belos's castle alone but finds it destroyed and among the ruins she finds the machine or the way in which Belos created his grimwalkers and leaves there with an army of mini Edas?
Maybe the Grimwalker Clones could have been found by the Collector and they could possibly be working for him as their henchmen alongside the Titan Trappers.
That's what I was thinking, and Raines was that vice/back up already. Since Raines is replacing one already and day of unity a month away that would look odd and no new replacement set up. Compared to the others that have a vice still and replacement.
You guys don't watch much do you? Kamen Rider clears The Owl House any day because unlike the Owl House, Kamen Rider has interesting characters and worldbuilding
I mean that makes sense imagine if it's not just Darius and Raine and Eber though but belos made another replacement for Hunter a son aka Damien according to the name meaning Damien according to the crucible means the antichrist/ son of the devil
I think this is possible.. and I think Belos wanted to wait until Hunter died because all the grimwalkers keep 'betraying' him, and he's worried what may happen if he has two or more decide to turn against him at once.. and nothing will freak out a clone quite like learning they are a clone made by a pyscho who has already wiped out a few dozen of you.
I'm pretty sure the "backups" are just other high ranking members of each coven I think it would be cool of there was an Eda grimwalker since she lost her arm during the day of unity but we saw it disintegrate so...
The theory that Belos was restocking in case Hunter betrayed him seems more believable to me. Plus even if he created grimwalkers of the coven heads, wouldn't he have to raise them ? Edit : As in, even if he could create adults grimwalkers of the Coven heads, they wouldn't have any memories.
WAIT THIS THEORY MAKES SO MUCH SENSE- Rewatching the Last S2 Episodes thinking that every Coven Head could have their own Grimwalkers hidden somewhere on the Castle the same way humans could clone themselves as Na'vis on Avatar could reveal more stuff 👀
Those replacements could also be just very highly skilled witches. I don't know if we'll have time to work clones in to the last two episodes. Also Basilisks are out there at least 4 others besides Vee I also think Luz's Mom will be the key to victory or if not an easy target to manipulate since she won't know people she encounters.
Great Video! Definitely better than my personal theory which was that belos was sending hunter out to get that stuff in order to make more replacement hunters that they would have to fight or team up with
While I wouldn't put it past Belos to somehow steal a bone from each of the current coven heads it would probably be easier to just get bones from the previous coven heads especially if any of them are actually dead.
I like this idea, I’ve been thinking about Hunters past selfs (aka Grimwalkers) for a awhile now. And to me, it makes sense if a few of these past Golden Guards possessed magic. Hunter was made with mythical items that could enhance or create magic. So to me I believe it would possibly if you added small amounts of the materials needed to make Grimwalkers, (since he was a kid/teen when made) to not possess magic. While if you made an adult Grimwalker, they could use magic, due to them being bigger and probably more in tune with the Boiling Isles.
I hate that my first reaction to every theory I see (or every theory I come up with) is "WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR ALL THAT!!". I hate that. I hate that I'm so blinded by the little time we have left that I genuinely do not believe we can do anything interesting anymore.
Can you imagine that Eda goes to Belos's castle alone but finds it destroyed and among the ruins she finds the machine or the way in which Belos created his grimwalkers and leaves there with an army of mini Edas?
This video gave me a theory, so Belos has everything he needs to make a grimwalker, so he could probably make one if he wanted to, so what if he made another grimwalker and used it to fight against the main characters
From the first episode, Eda has been showing off how able she is t detach her body parts. She would be The Most Dark grim walker - she would be able to infiltrate the Owl House group, TOTALLY betray them all at the worst possible moment.
When I first clicked on this video I thought the theory was that Raine died on the Day of Unity and Eda was going to create a grimwalker clone in a desperate bid to get them back
Honestly, I like this. When mask of Emperor Belos was removed (both figuratively and literally) I felt like we lost that Faceless overlord with mysterious motivations that (in my opinion) we didn't get enough of. And switching his aesthetic from intelligent mastermind to this insane monstrous cryptid was not really hopeful... DON'T GET ME WRONG, I don't think Dana and crew did anything bad by revealing Belos to be a witch hunter, I thought it was a perfect twist, and his evolution in both personality and character design is amazing, I just think it was done too soon, likely duo to Disney's big shortening >:(( Thus, giving Belos extra henchman, in form of Grimwalker Coven head clones (or maybe even Caleb clone army) would function as neat return to his original character traits... Granted, I don't think you can do as much with them, given Coven heads themselves are pretty undeveloped characters we didn't get to see enough of (with only exception being Rain). Never the less, I would love to see the concept make it's way in the show... Imagine all of them standing in line as soldiers, as Belos finishes explaining his plan to them, only for the Grimwalkers to respond in unison: "As you command, Emperor Belos!" Resulting in Belos losing his cool, and smash one of them into powder with his extendable arms in pure rage. Ending the scene with his chilling response: "It's,..Wittebane!...Witch Hunter General, Philip Wittebane!" Thank you for staying on my Ted Talk ;))
Something to point out is that grim walkers don’t need to 100% match the original physically or even genetically since hunter has pointy ears and Caleb having presumably human round ears

The Million Snails Question: Are we in for A: "PG The Rumbling" B: "Weirdmageddon, Boiling Isles Flavor C: "The PG-Horror-Fantasy version of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" or D: All of the above?
I’m not sure about this, first of all I wouldn’t really say the coven heads have a huge impact on the people of Boiling Isles, they do in a way but also the people of the Isles see them as replaceable. Alador saying Amity may be strong enough to be a coven head one day, yes it’s seen as a revered position but it’s still a replacement. I know it’s Hexside but still when a coven head visited them not many kids were impressed. And what we see of Terra, I’m sure many people would love to see someone take her place. My point being Belos can easily just say I’ve found better witches for the day of unity and everyone would go along with it, they wouldn’t have to be grimwalkers. Honestly I think the only reason Belos makes a clone of his brother is because Caleb was the only person Belos ever had by his side, they were orphans when they came to Gravesfield. Those grimwalkers never worked out for him, we literally see hundreds of failed attempts. So why would Belos spend time creating grimwalkers to be the new coven heads if he could use actual witches.
This is scary that something that was planned out into detail and only just to get a big smack on the head by Disney that there's only gonna be 3 episodes in season 3 and the second episode is on my birthday, wow.
After watching this I realized that Philip/belos left before hunter came back to life, so what if belos actually created another grim walker not knowing that hunter is now alive because of flapjacks sacrifice???
I once thought Luz and Amity’s future child would be a Grimwalker. But now that I know it requires bone, maybe that’s not the best way to make a child Unless they substitute the bone with something else
What would be dark is Belos having bone sample grafts of sorts from all the coven heads without having to kill them. And it's not out of the realm of possibility it was done via a procedure utilizing a device from Alador and Odalia.
grimwalker eyes are a reddish tone, and since Hunter has been with the coven heads several times while he was still in the castle he should be able to tell if they are grimwalkers. Btw this theory made me wonder: palistorm wood is hard to come by, at the end of palisman hunting episode with Eda and King entering Luz’s room from the window, Luz clearly says, “I thought this was super rare!” Which Eda and King replied that they robbed a garden. So perhaps it’s a bit difficult to make several more grimwalkers at once without draining all the few supply of palistrom wood Belos has collected. After I thought about this, Eda and King robbed a garden, I can’t remember specifically whom but I am certain they robbed from a garden that is connected to the Emperors coven in some way, how else would Belos get his palistrom wood if it’s THAT rare?
My theory is that "bone of ortet" is taken from Belos' ear originally, and from the art of whichever grimwalker he makes because it's useful for the next grimwalker. That would explain the Belos and the golden guard missing part of their ear, other than "it's because they're grimwalker and the wood wasn't even". Even flapperjack was MISSING A BIT OF WOOD, AN EYE meaning it can be made again!!!
You guys know how Adrian said "Do not say a word, about my appearance!" and how he looked kind of different? I think after labyrinth runners Adrian perhaps died or became brain dead. So then Belos used Adrians grimwalker. I thought about this while re-watching the series for the 12345678765434567654345654343454th time. I might be wrong but-
I don’t exactly think that this I what will happen but I think it’s a cool theory and it kinda scares me. Maybe this could happen if Toh wasn’t canceled I just don’t think it would fit into the next couple episodes.
I'm just concerned about something... Grimwalkers are supposed not to have magic? Or is Hunter unable to do magic because he is a clone of a human and not for being a grimwalker? I think it's important to take that into account because if grimwalkers are unable to use magic it would be very difficult to make a proper clone of someone, specially when we are talking about witches. I don't know if I'm skipping something about grimwalkers and/or witches but that's a question that I had while watching this video... Edit: also the fact that Hunter can't do magic could be because of the amount of certain or all the material needed for doing a grimwalker
I feel like we are done with the Grimwalker concept. For 1: It is my personal interpretation that grimwalkers age normally, and if they can be created "older" it would at least require more material. 2: The last thing Belos would want is to actually make more witches, he is trying to exterminate them, so any clones would be counter-productive, keep in mind that Hunter is basically a clone of a human made by witch methods. 3: it is very heavily implied that grimwalkers are created true, by which i mean they always return to their true nature/personality, regardless of how they are raised. Belos tried to make an "evil" Caleb how many times, yet every time it "turned on him" exactly like the original.
Amity: I hate you mom Mrs Blight: inside all girls love their mothers Amity: sometimes I wish dad would confess to me that I'm a clone of him that he did as one of his experiments just to not be your daughter...
why would they have grimwalkers if they dont seem to be missing any limbs or anything like that? i dont think its likely that belos performed surgery on them to remove their ribs lol
I’ve a thought about this. If belos took bones from the coven heads he could’ve used his own magic to grow back the bones he took from the coven heads while they were unconscious
“Bone of ortet” …. If you go back to that episode Elsewhere and Elsewhen, right at the end when it shows Philip back in his cave, as he’s walking by, you can see a rib cage on that table.. Perhaps, Caleb’s rib cage? I don’t like to think about that. Also regular people have like 206 bones so there has to have been at least 200 grimwalkers made of Caleb already.
My main problem is that Below has said that Hunter "looked the most like [Caleb]", and has mentioned at other times that grimwalkers often don't look exactly like the original. This would complicate the theory a bit, as Below would have to guarantee that each grimwalkers is as close as possible to the original.
It's definitely a cool theory that's interesting to think about given what we know it doesn't add up, a reminder that hunter remembers growing up, basically doing training from an early age and Steve remembers it too, they grow like regular people, the age and so on, so if belos made more they would just be babies...I believe he was gathering these ingredients to replace hunter after all each one of the previous grimwalkers betrayed him he was probably anticipating, belos is cold and calculated. Plus Darius isn't that old and the previous golden Guard mentored Darius, we don't know how long but people would have noticed if a new one the same age just appeared but based on hunters age it's would be reasonable to assume the previous one died in his 30s- 40s because Darius is 40s -50s and hunter has to age . Which is actually confirmed by the book about grimwalkers displaying them as an infant with their only defining characteristic being the reddish purple eyes . And the one in belos's memories I would wager is about 25, some of the grimwalkers "betrayed" belos later in life middle of their life and some younger, with one of them being killed after waking up prematurely as displayed on one of the images in hollow mind. Also it would be difficult to take a bone from someone's body without them knowing something was off afterwards I'm sure you would feel different if you were missing a bone somewhere seeing as how they work as the skeleton works as a unit , if eda can't regenerate her arm it's safe to say there is no spell to regrow bones and limbs like madem pomfrey.
The only problem here is how safely can you actually take the bone from each Covenhead without noticing. Maybe if Hettie had more importance in the story, this take could play out, but first, we don't have that benefit anymore, and second, it puts Hettie in a risk position since she's aware of Grimwalkers and even if she's sadistic and greedy, she can still be dangerous with the knowledge she has to Belos. Honestly, I thought that the "replacements" were either other powerful witches (like Odalia) that could replace coven heads or basilisks who are branded and brainwashed into perfect obedience.
I know I'm very late to this party (pending any future books or comics that bring back these concepts in some way, shape, or form), but depending on what counts as a "Bone" of Ortet, Belos could have always just taken one of their teeth for some reason. Pretty sure teeth count as bones.
I have just one question about this though, how would Belos get what he needs to make a grimwalker? He literally just got back, everyone probably hates him so there wouldn’t be a way for him to hide the fact he was making them, and on top of that he has to deal with the collector and Luz’s gang. He wouldn’t really have the time to make one, how would he make several?
The bone of ortet might have actually been caleb's skull that's why hunter looks the most like him
I didn’t even know what Ortet meant until this video and now that I have…..oh my God well played Dana Terrace well played….
OMG THATS SUCH A GREAT IDEA
there are those who say that after Belos died Hunter created a grimwalker of Philip in an attempt to be a better brother to that clone than Caleb was to Philip...

It could be that when Belos kills a Golden Guard, he just takes a bone from them.

I might be wrong but-
That bold skit was hilarious
i had a dream about more grimwalkers
This theory, terrifying as it is, actually seems pretty plausible
I feel hunter reason with grimwalkers showing how much he grown
This is a interesting theory and I like the Kingdom Hearts music in the background of the intro
8:12 scariest moment why does the coven head of the poison coven have to be so dog on terrifying
I am so excited for the second special of the owl house
teeth are bones, Belos could've just used teeth
What if Camilla meets Odalia and there will be like a mom battle
That would be epic......seeing Camila smash Odalia's face with a bat.
Amity: I hate you mom
Mrs Blight: inside all girls love their mothers
Amity: sometimes I wish dad would confess to me that I'm a clone of him that he did as one of his experiments just to not be your daughter...
I'm a dark chaotic person myself, but Vox you're horrifying dreadful, you'd make a great villain with that bone harvesting theory of yours.
Belos wants a body to inhabit he wants to shed himself of this corrupted form
why would they have grimwalkers if they dont seem to be missing any limbs or anything like that? i dont think its likely that belos performed surgery on them to remove their ribs lol
this reminds me of a thing someone said or me i cant remember about hunter or belos himself making a grimwalker of himself for one reason or another
I can’t wait till the next special of The Owl 🦉 House
4:20 when he said “replacements” I thought, like the other coven heads not like….actual clones of them…oh God…
I’ve a thought about this. If belos took bones from the coven heads he could’ve used his own magic to grow back the bones he took from the coven heads while they were unconscious
Can't wait for season 3 episode 2 yep
“Bone of ortet” …. If you go back to that episode Elsewhere and Elsewhen, right at the end when it shows Philip back in his cave, as he’s walking by, you can see a rib cage on that table.. Perhaps, Caleb’s rib cage? I don’t like to think about that. Also regular people have like 206 bones so there has to have been at least 200 grimwalkers made of Caleb already.
so belos put rain to sleep and with out them knowing he had people remove there bones from them.......
I think that when Belos said they made sure they all had replacements I think he meant that he would’ve had runner up l coven heads on standby
“Begun, the Grimwalker War has.”
this is like my favorite show
Love the enthusiasm and yes there could be more grimwalkers
I cant believe i didnt get it when Darius said that
For the bone of ortet, maybe Belos uses teeth? It’s probably the easiest method and was what I first thought
now we know why is palistrom wood rare
The only problem here is how safely can you actually take the bone from each Covenhead without noticing. Maybe if Hettie had more importance in the story, this take could play out, but first, we don't have that benefit anymore, and second, it puts Hettie in a risk position since she's aware of Grimwalkers and even if she's sadistic and greedy, she can still be dangerous with the knowledge she has to Belos.
Honestly, I thought that the "replacements" were either other powerful witches (like Odalia) that could replace coven heads or basilisks who are branded and brainwashed into perfect obedience.
Hey! I recognize that kingdom hearts music in the background.
Edit: AND the majoras mask music... you have good taste in games
My theory is grimwalkers age naturally to the ortets age, but can be younger if ripped from the ground prematuely
I know I'm very late to this party (pending any future books or comics that bring back these concepts in some way, shape, or form), but depending on what counts as a "Bone" of Ortet, Belos could have always just taken one of their teeth for some reason. Pretty sure teeth count as bones.
Holy crap this crazy freaking Theory I love how extreme and wild theory's and it might even be True it really cool 😁😁
Yhae that's Dark as hell like the Clone's for jango fett star wars.
I really hope the Titan Trappers make a comeback!!
He probably did it sometime before the day of unity otherwise it wouldn’t be possible
The television special that both Luz and the others were watching. The evil Luz could be a Grim Walker variation of Luz.
More Grimwalkers 😬 yix i was thinking like zombies.
Next year is about to go down hard AF in the next episode
What!? More Grimm Walkers?
Oh this is going to be Scary! 😰
Wait, the grimwalker versions are kinda powerless since grimwalkers don’t have magic, so how would be they be like a whole new danger?
Are you going to make a video about bee and puppy cat
Bro I'm mad that there isn't gonna be an episode called "A playdate with destiny"
Eberwolf technically has a bone missing, well more like a part of their tooth soo technically that could be used if it came into belos hands
It premieres a day before my birthday. I guess its my early birthday gift
