One of the best albums of all time. My parents were going through a divorce when it came out, I was around 6 years old or older. This album was on repeat for years to come ever since. Edit: I would love to hear "When You Were Young" and "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine" get the Doomer treatment
@@spectranwolfinfusion thank you, i am much better now, soon to be married. This song has so much meaning, the title alone makes me think about having to smile through hard times even tho on the inside you are empty. Smiling through it helps but sometimes cant hide the pain. I love This song.
i know it's months later but reading this comment was really surreal because the killers represent my entire childhood especially the memories i have of my parents fighting with each other. i was actually in the office with them when they officially signed off on the divorce and i went home with my mom. i played spaceman and a couple other songs on the way home, i remember feeling incredibly relieved. i hope you're doing well man
This song has become the soundtrack to every single one of my emotions. It saved me from doing the irreversible, and yet it also accompanied me on the brightest days of my existence - if there’s one song I’d want on a tape in my coffin, it’s this one.
Hot Fuss was one of those albums that stuck with me even before I really found my taste in music. For some reason this song reminds me of my cousin that I lost... rest on peace Justin.
It's oddly comforting seeing comments like these.. knowing the shit i'm going through isn't special is in itself a nice little shelter. It's okay, you'll find somebody who will actually give you the respect you deserve.
