Hey Kirby, I even insert these (the same exact one you used in the video) in every one of my calfskin sneakers as well. After using it for months now, I can tell you that the freshness it provides to the shoe is highly underrated characteristic of the shoe tree. Even after a long day of walking a whole lot, I simply put these in and let them be for about a day or two. Whenever I take them out, the shoe smells amazing as if I just got it from the factory brand new.
Oh I'm so glad I saw this video now. I ordered 4 medium shoe trees, the cedar kind of course, just got them in the mail today. My shoes are 9.5. I was kind of worried maybe I got the wrong size. Thanks for this confirmation. 👍
I use shoe trees even for leather sneakers and it really helps to keep the sneakers looking nice. BTW is it ok to store shoes with shoe trees inside of them long term?
Thanks for this. It helped me understand how to really size the shoetree I just bought. I used a print-out guide to size it and it was still too tight. Nothing beats a try out with a real shoetree but with the current lockdowns it's really a bit of trial and error.
It's pretty easy to size a shoe tree for a 9.5 since it's in the middle of the Medium size range. Video would be more helpful with a 10.5 that is right between a M and L.

Hi Kirby. I'm new to shoe trees, so apology if this question sounds silly. Wouldn't the Medium Size stretch the leather too much due to being a tighter fit than the foot of the owner?
Size down is bad advice, you should always size up if it’s border line. I don’t know why anyone would advise to size down when the whole point of the shoe tree is to fit snug so it keeps the shoe straight. You are much better off having a shoe tree a little tight than a little loose.

Yes, it is acceptable to store shoes with shoe trees inside of them for long periods of time.
Yes that is the purpose of the shoe trees for storing them whether it’s short term or long term

The shoe tree: It says it fits up to an 8.5.
The spokesman of the company that makes the shoe tree: It fits this 9.5 shoe perfectly!
Facepalm.
Is it ok to fit a size 44(UK10) shoe tree to a size 43(UK 9) shoe? Thank you!
if the shoe is between sizes of the shoe tree, should one size up or down on the tree?
I would size down
Yes, size down

Very helpful !
Thank u very much
How long should you keep cedar shoe trees in dress shoes?
every day, I get back home I put shoe tress until next time I wear my shoes.
Are these shoe trees suitable for Chelsea boots? Eg. RM Williams
Minoan1977 no, youll need a Chelsea boot shoe tree
Nice
Why don't you make shoe trees in every shoe size? That's how I buy mine here in the UK, that way I know the trees will fit my shoes properly.
So, if my shoe size is 44 (EU), what size should I buy, so the shoe trees fit my shoes properly?
My question exactly, I am size 42, I bought shoe tree sized 41/42 and it’s slightly loose there is no tension. Should I size up ?
@@toniobarros4412 Sounds like it to me, if they are loose. there is not other option.
@@ELEVOPR i appreciate it. 👌
