What’s the benefit of the headphone amp? Can you simply run this all through your mixer and achieve the same result ?
Hey Ben! The headphone amp gives your announcers more flexibility to control their own audio mix, seperate from your program audio. It also just provides more headphone outputs in case your mixer doesn't have enough, but yes, you can definitely run the mics into your mixer and get the same result for your viewers!
Do yo you have to have a mixer to hear the commentary voice in the headphones or can you just use a amp?
you can just use the amp for hearing the conversation on-site, but you just need a mixer to control your program output!

Is there a way for a tech to talk into the ears of the commentators without the program audio hearing anything?
Is there a more simple setup for an announcer on a twitch stream? We use OBS and have 2 guys announcing Magic The Gathering games.

@@MediaUnlocked or you could skip the mixer set up, and just buy two USB headsets, although I don't think the computer would be able to simultaneously identify two separate audio sources, which is why I think you might need the mixer if you're using two announcers. I could be wrong though.
With this setup are you able to mix-minus your own voice out so you can only hear your co-commentator?
is there an easy way to do this on PC and where do you get the sounds?
