- We went to Charlotte BMX track to race a special BMX race in honor of professional BMX racer PJ O'brien's father that recently passed where they raised money for the family and it was an amazing night of racing that featured the closest 3 rider photo finish that I have ever seen before and of course it involved my brother Matty Cranmer!

I'm w/ Caleb on the underhanded racing.... I love doing underhanded tricks in a GOB and watching people fall apart because they have no idea how to do it. It was literally a necessary skill when riding in the 90s and 00s, I used to do BMX trials riding like that and nobody else would even try.... Good Race guys and never stop riding PJ. 😊👍❤

I am not understanding what is meant by "underhanded". Matty's gestures make it look like it means holding the underside of the grip with your hand and forearm rotated palm up. But the video of the race doesn't look like any rider is doing that.
Am I missing it when I look or am I misunderstanding?

At 8:30 if u look closely at his left hand u can see the thumb is on the outside instead of on the inside. Hope that can help ya
@@joesphkenda9898Thanks again. I was just struggling to understand. After watching a couple more times I can see it as he leaves the start gate. Though I would never have noticed if I hadn't been told, it still isn't obvious to me.

If you want just a touch more than a 44-16, I'd suggest a 47-17. I liked it when I was racing and it kinda looks cool IMO too.
i honestly don't know who won that race even going frame-by-frame. it was exactly equal :D
I use to ride 45/16 almost exclusively until I discovered 47/17. I haven't gone back since.

Hey Scotty! I’d love to get in touch with you and your brother and work on finding a super cool kid to run my old custom Felt bike from way back when. Like 08’era. Custom powder coated forks, frame, bars, and all. As well of course tons of sparkly gold flake. Grew up in old school silver dollar national days.
